Job Description
**Overview**
Weatherford is seeking a **dedicated and experienced Business Continuity Professional** to join our **Global Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE)** function. This role plays a vital part in strengthening organizational resilience by developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive business continuity strategies that ensure operations continue effectively during disruptions or crisis.
Reporting directly into the **Head of Global Security and Resilience as part of the Global Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Team** , this position contributes to Weatherford's overall **Resilience Program** and works cross-functionally to embed best practices across all business areas.
**Key Roles & Responsibilities**
**Business Continuity Program Development & Management**
+ Develop, implement, and maintain Weatherford's global business continuity program in line with international standards and good practice guidelines.
+ Conduct **Business Impact Analyses (BIA)** and **risk assessments** to identify critical business functions and define recovery priorities.
+ Design and maintain comprehensive continuity plans for critical operations, functions, and facilities.
+ Lead the review, validation, and testing of contingency plans through scenario-based and tabletop exercises.
+ Create templates, guidance materials, and documentation tools for business continuity planning.
+ Regularly update continuity plans to reflect evolving risks, threats, and organizational changes.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**
+ Partner with key business units (IT Resilience, Security, HSE, Compliance, Insurance, etc.) to ensure an integrated, value-driven approach to resilience.
+ Identify, train, and support **regional business continuity champions** .
+ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement effective disaster recovery strategies.
+ Support internal audits and regulatory reviews to ensure compliance with relevant standards and requirements.
**Training & Communication**
+ Develop and deliver training programs on business continuity best practices across the organization.
+ Lead company-wide communications to promote awareness and understanding of continuity processes.
+ Maintain clear communication channels with all stakeholders during preparedness, response, and recovery phases.
+ Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of all business continuity processes.
**Safety, Security & Compliance**
+ Ensure full compliance with Weatherford's **Security, HSE, and Compliance** policies.
+ Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility as core business values.
+ Continuously seek opportunities to improve HSSE practices and resilience processes.
+ Demonstrate proactive safety leadership and contribute to the well-being of all personnel.
**Qualifications & Experience**
**Required:**
+ **Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)** or equivalent certification (e.g., **CBCI** ) or a minimum of **5+ years of experience** in contingency planning, disaster recovery, or emergency management.
+ Familiarity with **ISO 22301** and **BCI Good Practice Guidelines** .
+ Proven experience leading and managing business continuity projects.
+ Strong track record in conducting BIAs and developing comprehensive continuity plans.
**Preferred:**
+ Experience in the **global energy sector** or other complex, multinational operational environments.
+ Bachelor's degree in **Risk Management**
**Skills & Competencies**
+ Deep understanding of **contingency planning** and **disaster recovery** methodologies.
+ Experience developing policies, guidelines, and audit controls.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly under pressure.
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
+ High degree of self-motivation, accountability, and autonomy.
+ Demonstrated **business acumen** and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
+ Proficiency in **Microsoft Office** , particularly PowerPoint.
**Additional Information**
+ **Travel Requirement:** May involve international travel (approximately 10-25%).
