Position Overview

A key member of the Business Development team to achieve RGA’s financial target, create new business opportunity through driving new propositions and working closely with Health, Product Development, Pricing, Underwriting, RGAX, GFS and RST.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and prioritize reinsurance quotations, and proactively project manage client requests
  • Liaise internally across teams to ensure the company’s deliverables are meeting client’s needs and satisfying RGA’s service standards
  • Establish strong working relationships with clients of RGA including senior executive decision makers Negotiate on behalf of RGA and to manage multiple projects as well as reinsurance quotations
  • Perform research and analyze latest marketing/product trends in the Southeast Asian markets, present results internally and externally and identify opportunities or innovative solutions
  • Create marketing materials (e.g. company brochures, presentation, proposals etc.) and manage RGA intellectual capital (e.g. client relationship updates, library etc.)
  • Represent RGA in industry events and speak at client events and seminars
  • Lead cross-functional project teams or assist in project work including establishing internal reports, analyzing profitability of existing treaty lines and business case proposals
  • Provide guidance to other team members and assist the Head of Business Development to build and manage a strong Business Development team for both Life and Health businesses
  • Provide input for SEA product development insights
  • Support Head of Business Development on other business matters and tasks as and when required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related disciplines
  • FSA qualification or equivalent ideal
  • 10+ years’ experience in a life insurance, insurance consulting or reinsurance company, experience in product development or pricing
  • 5+ years of reinsurance experience with exposure to client facing work (marketing, business development) or with significant exposure to reinsurance as part of the job will be highly preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in health and medical reimbursement products will be highly preferred
  • Excellent client services skills with exceptional ability to manage clients’ relationships as well as conflicts
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal) with the ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with others to adopt a different point of view; proficiency in another Southeast Asian language is strongly preferred
  • Strong critical and innovative thinking, with the ability to develop business insights, resolve complex problems and deliver solutions as well as recommendations
  • Highly motivated, results oriented and solutions focused
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to partner with internal & external stakeholders in a collaborative manner
  • Ability to travel 25% to 30%

  • Knowledge of the Malaysia market, including industry trends and competitive landscape across either SaaS, Big Data or Artificial Intelligence solutions.
  • An understanding of either capital markets, regulatory and compliance landscapes, or corporate data is a significant advantage.

We are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Business Development Director to lead growth initiatives at our fintech company specializing in digital lending. The Business Development Director will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships, market expansion, and product monetization strategies. This role requires a visionary leader who combines analytical rigor, relationship-building skills, and operational excellence to scale business lines and unlock new opportunities in digital financial services.

Key responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across APAC markets
  • Conduct discovery sessions with prospects to understand their business requirements and pain points
  • Position the current product portfolio to fit the customer and market needs.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for key prospects and existing clients

Account Management & Relationship Building

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with key stakeholders at target accounts
  • Serve as primary account owner and technical advisor for complex deals and enterprise opportunities

Job Summary Job summary:

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Talent Management and Development Director located in Bukit Minyak.

What a typical day looks like:

Partner with leaders and HR Business Partners to understand the needs of the Malaysia organization and align the talent strategy with the growth plans.

Identify success factors of high performing teams and implement plans to transfer best practices.

Conduct organizational design and team effectiveness assessments and diagnostics to address short term and future needs, ensuring the organization is well-prepared for growth.

Drive improvement on employee engagement and experience by analyzing survey data, developing and implementing action plans to enhance the overall employee experience.

Identify insights and make recommendations on talent retention strategies and development solutions to meet future workforce needs.

Develop and measure organization effectiveness solutions across the employee lifecycle.

Lead the design and deployment of talent development initiatives ensuring they are aligned to Operation plans.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a Human Resource, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification in HR or Organizational Development (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is a plus.

Minimum of 7 years of Human Resources or related experience in business with specific experience in HR, consulting, project management and change management.

Strong understanding of HR practices, talent management, and organizational development methodologies.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Lead negotiations, structuring, and implementation of C&I solar PPA’s across Malaysia
  • Develop and own relationships with industry players and potential partners for Levanta in the country
  • Manage Business Development team in Malaysia
  • Review and extract relevant project information (project planning, permitting, land/seabed lease, supplier/EPC contracts, grid connection, financing and PPA/offtake agreements)
  • Perform due diligence on this documentation; summarise key technical, commercial and financial risks and opportunities to support financial close / investment committee processes
  • Develop, review and optimise the project business case
  • Drive business case development, optimisation and risk management, discussing with partners to form an aligned, factual and realistic case
  • Manage local stakeholder groups close to project sites
  • Deliver analysis and advisory on key renewables policy and regulatory issues, evaluating key project risks and opportunities
Ideal candidate should possess:
  • Bachelor’s Proven track record of successful business development and sales in the C&I solar industry, with circa 10 years of relevant experience (Sales/Business Development, Engineering or other Renewable Energy experience)
  • Strong network and relationships within the C&I solar industry
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Knowledge of sustainable energy trends and regulatory frameworks
  • Strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills

In Malaysia, Bosch is active in four business sectors: Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology. The company has three manufacturing sites and research and development offices in Penang, producing automotive electronics, power tools and steering systems, and soon a fourth plant with a final testing centre for sensors and semiconductors. In 2020, Bosch Malaysia generated consolidated sales of RM 518.4 million (108.1 million euros), and currently employs more than 4,000 associates.

PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Job Description

Development of test programs for automotive ASICs on Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).Ability to support or lead projects from development phase to mass production.

Main functions as follows:-

  • Develop test programs for automotive ASICs on Automatic Test Equipment (e.g. Advantest V93k,…)
  • Define test concepts and test specifications together with the design team in ASIC development projects
  • Perform and analyze statistical analysis of measurement data on wafers and packaged devices tosupportother design functions
  • Collaborate with different development locations, internal functions and external suppliers
  • Optimize the test development environment


*Special condition

For job-induction, a stay of 6-12 months in Germany (Reutlingen) might be required.

Qualifications
  • Candidate to possess Masters or Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Professional Competence - Good knowledge of electrical measurements (digital and analog) and good coding skills (e.g. C, C++, Visual Basic,…)
Additional Information
  • Experience and Knowhow - A minimum of 2 years of working experience in the semiconductor test development field.
  • Leadership Competence - Ability to lead technical discussions with design team and to lead a test development engineering team
