Job Description

We’re looking for a content-obsessed, detail-oriented Social Media Executive to run with the day-to-day output of our key personnel social channels — helping him show up with relevance, edge, and authenticity across platforms.

This role sits within the Social & Influencer team at AirAsia, working closely with the wider brand and content managers. It’s part strategist, part videographer, part editor — and all about being in the right moment, at the right time, with the right story.

You’ll capture raw moments, translate bold ideas into engaging posts, and bring Tony’s voice to life in ways that resonate with audiences across Southeast Asia and beyond.

What you’ll be doing

  • Shadowing Tony across key moments — from external panels, airasia events to boarding gates — and turning those moments into content
  • Filming, editing, and posting video content (with platform-native polish)
  • Running Tony’s social calendars across Instagram and TikTok
  • Pitching ideas and shaping his POV across platforms — whether it’s reacting to culture, showcasing leadership, or sharing personal reflections
  • Collaborating with AirAsia’s Social Media and Influencer teams to align tone, priorities, and platform strategy
  • Creating and editing everything from Reels and Stories to carousels, quote tiles, voiceovers, and occasional longer-form videos
  • Reviewing performance data and applying learnings to improve tone, timing, and visual direction

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in social media, content creation or shortform video production (bonus if you’ve managed exec or creator accounts)
  • Strong filming and editing skills for mobile (must be fluent in iPhone/CapCut/InShot or similar tools)
  • A great eye for storytelling and visual pacing — and the ability to work fast without compromising quality
  • Confident creating content across IG, TikTok, X, LinkedIn — and knowing what works on each
  • Comfort working closely with leadership and adapting to shifting schedules, and priorities
  • A proactive mindset — someone who knows when to document, when to push an idea, and when to hold back
  • Clear communicator and collaborator, able to take directionl and keep multiple stakeholders looped in
  • Professional discretion, sound judgment, and respect for the person and the brand
  • You care about detail — but know when to move fast and get it done

A few extras we look for

We’re not interested in buzzwords or bravado. We’re looking for someone who:

  • You’ve helped grow a founder’s or influencers social presence before
  • You bring a camera-operator mindset, but a strategist’s brain
  • You’re curious about leadership, business, travel, and culture — and know how to turn those themes into content
  • You thrive in fast-moving environments and can shoot/edit/post on the fly

If you don’t meet every requirement…

That’s okay. We know great people don’t always tick every box. If you’re excited by the role, and believe you can make an impact — we’d love to hear from you.
