In this position, you will join our Buildings business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of projects.   • Taking responsibility for delivery of projects from initial design, through to construction and final review.
  • Be the point of contact for the client team on day-to-day project matters.
  • Lead a large project design team, oversee and coordinate the work of a team multi-disciplinary engineers, designers and drafters. Engineering disciplines to be managed and coordinated include mechanical and electrical, civil, structural, security, architectural and ICT.
  • Working in collaboration with other design disciplines, locally and regionally to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
  • Lead the multi-disciplinary team in the production of design documentations including detailed design drawings, specifications, design report, calculations, BIM models, and other technical documents.
  • Chair internal and external design meetings.
  • Managing projects or project components, budgets, schedules, quality assurance and client feedback and ensuring effective communication of any changes/modifications.
  • Assisting in workload management and resource forecasting and involved in preparation of proposal documentation.
  • Reviewing and ensuring compliance, including drawings, reports, specifications, survey, access, and preparation of appraisals.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, recognizing, and developing potential business opportunities.
  • Applying an understanding of construction/engineering project management principles to plan and deliver infrastructure projects of varying complexity.
  • Managing work programmes to ensure that they are delivered to client expectations, timeframes and specifications.
  • Engaging with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
  • Supporting multiple concurrent projects across the entire life cycle, including planning, design verification, tendering, contract administration, financial management, project scheduling and risk management.

What can you bring to the team?

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with at least 10 years’ relevant experience in Buildings Mechanical or Electrical Design, installation and testing and commissioning, and leading delivery of multi-disciplinary projects in modern commercial and industrial buildings. Data Centre Experience will be preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to lead a large project team on technical delivery.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Sufficient experience to demonstrate intermediate to advanced knowledge of relevant engineering codes, standards, and practices.
  • Organized approach and ability to accept increased responsibility and produce accurate and detailed work.
  • High level of computer literacy and exposure to BIM / Revit will be highly desired, with advanced problem-solving skills through investigation and analysis.
  • Literacy in the use of digital tools such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Naviswork, BIM360 and drive BIM processes.
  • Strong ability in navigating 3D BIM model to review multi-disciplinary design, identify issues, provide solutions and delegate the design team to resolve them.

The Head of Project Planning & Development – Southern Region will lead and oversee the end-to-end planning, design, and execution strategy for all township developments within the Southern Region. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for translating the Group’s strategic vision into tangible development outcomes. 1. Regional Project Strategy & Master Planning
  • Develop and drive the regional development roadmap, aligning with the Group’s overall township vision and business objectives.

  • Lead master planning efforts for multiple townships, ensuring commercial viability, regulatory compliance, and community-centric designs.

  • Identify new site opportunities and oversee land-use studies, market research, and macro development strategies.

2. Project Planning & Execution Oversight
  • Oversee the development of detailed project implementation plans across multiple projects concurrently.

  • Ensure alignment of project scopes, schedules, and resources across business units, consultants, and contractors.

  • Monitor progress, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure timely delivery within approved budgets and timelines.

3. Design Leadership & Innovation
  • Provide strategic direction during design stages, ensuring compliance with corporate design standards, sustainability goals, and market relevance.

  • Review, evaluate, and approve masterplans, architectural proposals, and engineering solutions.

  • Champion design innovation, smart township concepts, and integrated infrastructure planning.

4. Feasibility & Investment Analysis
  • Lead the feasibility assessment of new and existing development parcels.

  • Oversee preparation of investment papers, development strategies, and scenario-based financial models.

  • Advise Group leadership on land optimisation, phasing, and development mix strategies.

5. Regulatory & Authority Liaison
  • Serve as senior representative in all regional statutory, authority, and community engagements.

  • Ensure smooth navigation of the planning and approval process, including development orders, land conversion, zoning, and building plan submissions.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with local councils and government agencies.

6. Cost Control & Value Engineering
  • Oversee project budgeting in collaboration with Group Finance, Contracts, and QS teams.

7. Leadership & Team Development

Requirements Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Town Planning, or a related field.

  • Postgraduate qualification (MBA, Urban Development, or related discipline) is an added advantage.

Experience:
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in property development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing township or large-scale mixed-use developments.

  • Proven track record in master planning, project management, and authority liaison in Malaysia (preferably Johor)

  • Exposure to both upstream planning and downstream implementation phases.

Competencies:
  • Strategic thinking with strong business and commercial acumen.

  • Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Support Vice President in managing and administer all the pre & post contract Works for all Rail Systems, Wayside & Equipment's Projects and Consultancy Services as to meet the project objectives in terms of time, cost and quality.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support in reviewing Cost Estimate for commercial aspects of Projects CAPEX.
  • Support in reviewing Tender Document/ RFP/ RFQ via GPD 3 procurement process.
  • Cost Data input in the database system for rail systems, wayside & equipments, etc.
  • Support in preparation of Commercial Evaluation Report.
  • Prepare checklist for the release of Performance Bonds for compliance to the contract’s requirement.
  • Support in reviewing the completeness of Contract Document with respect to Contractual terms and commercial part of the document.
  • Participate in joint valuation with Contractors/Suppliers/Project Owner/End User for verification of work done prior preparation of payment certification and other inspection if required such as project completion and defects inspection.
  • Check the completeness of payment supporting document prior preparation of payment certificate.
  • Check the completeness of supporting document prior preparation of contractual certificates such as VO, CPC/CA, CFIA, CTO, CNC and CMGD.
  • Updating monthly project status.
  • Assist in all tasks as and when required by the management of Prasarana.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying (QS)/ Engineering / Construction Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years of Quantity Surveying (QS) / Engineering / Construction Management experience.
  • Building Construction, Cost and Technical Knowledge.

About The Role

About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Specialist to join our Project Management & Space Planning team at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will be responsible for strategic office space planning and managing projects related to our headquarters renovation. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure efficient use of office space, budget tracking, and smooth execution of ongoing projects.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Prepare annual budgeting and budget tracking for HQ renovation projects
  • Strategically plan and manage HQ office space, including vacant space, occupancy, and space efficiency
  • Report on Construction in Progress (CIP) for capitalization asset to Finance
  • Verify and check payment submissions related to projects
  • Track and monitor ongoing projects to ensure timely completion
  • Utilize the e-Procurement System to raise Purchase Requests (PR)
  • Act as an I-Supplier user to claim project management fees on behalf of RHB Property Sdn Bhd
  • Manage contracts related to groupwide furniture tenders

Project Brief: A dedicated project team is being assembled to lead the transformation of a heritage building in downtown Kuala Lumpur into a distinctive cultural and lifestyle destination. The project aims to keep the building’s heritage alive while bringing in fresh, contemporary elements, with a strong focus on showcasing Malaysian creativity, design, and offerings.Key Responsibilities:
  • Communication Design and Brand Implementation:
    • Design a distinct visual identity for the space that blends the building’s heritage with a modern appeal
    • Has an eye for Malaysia’s multicultural heritage and respects the building’s historical legacy in all creative work
  • Content Development (Design, Editing & Production):
    • Develop creative materials for both digital and physical platforms i.e. social media materials, websites, ads, event collaterals, and simple animations, ensuring everything aligns with the brand identity
    • Produce high-quality visuals like videos, photos, and graphics and transform them into brand-aligned materials for both internal and external use
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Collaborate with the team, tenants and other stakeholders to develop marketing materials.
    • Oversee creative setup to ensure cohesive brand storytelling throughout the execution.
  • Project, Asset & Vendor Management:
    • Ensure all design projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at high quality.
    • Coordinate with vendors on pricing, production, and installation to ensure timely delivery and maintain quality standards
    • Operate and maintain photography and video equipment, ensuring all tools are maintained and ready to use.
  • Working Arrangements:
    • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, or during special events as needed.
    • Skilled at managing multiple projects and delivering quality work within tight deadlines
    • Support the team with other duties as needed, including assisting in event planning, setup, and on-ground coordination.
Key Requirements:
  • A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Visual Arts, or a related discipline
  • At least 3 years of experience in graphic design. Knowledge of motion graphics is a plus.
  • Possess strong photography, photo and video editing skills, and understanding of UI/UX design principles.
  • Skilled in using design and video editing software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and After Effects, CapCut or equivalent.
  • Prior experience (1–2 years) creating compelling content for social media platforms is a strong plus.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and fluent in written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English. Proficiency in Mandarin or other languages and knowledge of Malaysian History is a bonus.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and collaborating in small teams
  • Highly self-motivated with a keen eye for detail and strong creative problem-solving skills
