Position Overview:

As the Admin Department Head, you will play a key role in setting up and managing the internal operations of the company.   • Set objectives and oversee the Laboratory Management System (LMS).
  • Approve resources for laboratory operations and LMS.
  • Chair the Management Review Committee and report findings.
  • Liaise with Standards Malaysia on SAMM accreditation matters.
  • Ensure compliance, improvement, and effectiveness of the LMS.
  • Plan and execute internal audits, corrective actions, and improvement programs.
  • Oversee daily laboratory operations, technical issues, and quality control.
  • Ensure adequate manpower, equipment, facilities, and consumables.
  • Approve/disapprove customer requests, tenders, and contracts.
  • Supervise Senior Chemists and Chemists; plan and schedule testing.
  • Authorize suspension/resumption of testing in non-conforming situations.
  • Design and implement training for laboratory staff.
  • Handle customer communication, complaints, and resolutions.
  • Manage internal/external proficiency testing (PT) programs and monitor performance.
  • Review and maintain approved suppliers and subcontractors list.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's in science – Chemistry, Physics or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in laboratory.
  • Must also be able to direct their work so that the laboratory is operated smoothly.
  • Previous supervisory experience in all disciplines of the laboratory as the Assistant Manager or similar position.
  • Ability to work under a certain amount of stress and be able to handle a variety of demanding situations daily.
  • Have the ability to exercise sound judgement when problems arise and recommend variable solutions

We are seeking for highly skilled Product Compliance manager to join our dynamic and growing team. In this position you'll ensure Quality & Regulatory Compliance of activities all along the product lifecycle.   • Well understand the business and provide appropriate advice to the business unit heads particular in electronic product regulations and standards as well as other relevant Malaysia regulations.
  • Involve in Malaysia Compliance and regulatory conference on electronics product regulations and standards, sharing of information to regional and HQ compliance team for changes (if any) and implement the changes locally to prevent delay.
  • Handle and prepare audit request from external and internal stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain essential documents for record and tracking. This includes training material, process flow, labels records and whichever applicable to ensure operation efficiency.
  • Conduct periodical training and audit at warehouse to review and evaluate handling standards. Identify areas of improvement in ensuring ongoing quality and compliance in warehouse process handling and rework.
  • Other task(s)/project(s) assigned by the management from time to time.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in technical fields such as electrical & electronic engineering.
  • Substantial experience typically 5-10 years working in compliance environment especially with electrical products.
  • Specific experience in regulatory compliance within the consumer goods industry with technical areas such as electrical safety and the certification process for electrical & electronic products is highly valued.
  • Deep understanding of electrical product safety, battery systems, power electronics and radio frequency.
  • Ability to develop compliance strategies to meet product requirements and reduce time to market.
  • Knowledgeable in products import export and customs clearance procedures.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills as well as hands-on procedures and operations.
