Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are seeking a driven and proactive Data Protection, Legal & Regulatory Counsel to strengthen our organization’s regulatory compliance, licensing and data protection initiatives across our group of companies operating in multiple jurisdictions.
What will you do?- Managing and maintaining a centralized licensing / permit repository for all business units across the organization.
- Leading, collaborating, coordinating and supervising renewals and new applications with regulators and industry-specific authorities.
- Drafting, reviewing and/or advising on agreements and legal documents to ensure compliance with data protection laws, relevant regulatory requirements and client/vendor requirements.
- Collaborating with relevant stakeholders and deploying external firms to ensure effective regulatory review and implementation, as well as execute submissions and secure approvals.
- Serving as the organization’s liaison for stakeholders, regulators and relevant public authorities on licensing and regulatory matters in coordination with the Data Protection Officer or Senior Corporate Counsel.
- Supporting training and awareness programs relating to regulatory compliance and data protection within the organization.
- Developing, updating and implementing policies, manuals, guidelines, processes in relation to regulatory compliance and data protection.
- Monitoring regulatory changes and emerging risks to mitigate regulatory compliance risks.
- Report to Data Protection Officer for data privacy related matters.
- Report to Senior Corporate Counsel for regulatory and licensing relating matters.
- Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
- Holds a LLB with minimum 3 years' demonstrable working experience in regulatory licensing, submissions and/or data protection.
- Hands on experience with regulatory compliance & submission as well as data protection laws and practices in SEA (Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam). Added advantage if knowledge extends to (i) South Asia (India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh); (ii) Northeast Asia (South Korea, Japan); (iii) USA; and (iv) MENA.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Problem-solving proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Strong contract review and legal advisory experience is a plus.

- Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations including disaster recovery operations.
- Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies and procedures in alignment with user and organizational needs, subsequently to enforcing these policies and procedures as appropriate.
- Identify problematic areas and areas for improvement in order to implement strategic solutions in timely fashion.
- Prepare and share regular operation system reports with IT Director and the team.
- Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to you by the management from time to time, within your category of employment in the organization and for the effective implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the Quality Management System of TDCX.
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master's Degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent
- Preferably with 3 - 5 years of working experience in the related field is ideal for this position.
- Possesses extensive knowledge of Windows and Linux Server Administrations, and is familiar with various operating systems and platforms.
- Possesses excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and of computer hardware and software systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in data centre management and data governance.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with computer networks, server administration, and server installation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the language of the supporting market.
