• To provide pre-sales technical support to System business primarily on storage and data protection solutions.
• Other system solutions may be developed in accordance to company business direction.
• To study, analyze, integrate and architect system infrastructure solutions according to customer’s business, technical and operational requirements.

As a Senior Data Protection Platform Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in securing and modernizing enterprise-scale technology platforms. What You’ll Deliver

Architect and implement enterprise-grade security frameworks for our core data platform. Lead the integration of security controls and compliance measures across a unified data infrastructure. Enhance platform performance, availability, and scalability through continuous optimization. Drive modernization and transformation of legacy systems, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise IT. Develop and implement automated security monitoring, identity management, and vulnerability assessment solutions. Leverage DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices to ensure consistent, scalable deployments. Support disaster recovery and high-availability strategies across critical platforms. Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to align platform solutions with business needs. Provide strategic input on platform investments, security risks, and operational improvements. Partner with senior technical leaders to define and execute long-term platform roadmaps.

Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Proven experience in enterprise technology, security, or platform operations at scale. Hands-on experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., AWS CDK, Azure Bicep). Familiarity with ITIL processes, Agile methodologies, and governance frameworks. Strong understanding of data engineering and security in large-scale cloud environments.

Technical Expertise

Proficiency in big data technologies: Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Flink. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud-native data solutions (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks). Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, or Scala. Understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and distributed systems architecture. Expertise in Azure, AWS, Databricks, and Palantir environments. Familiarity with data ingestion, governance, visualization, and multi-cloud data strategies. Knowledge of performance tuning, indexing, and distributed query optimization. Experience with real-time and batch streaming architectures.

Preferred Skills Experience working in regulated, compliance-heavy industries. Demonstrated ability to manage enterprise-wide risk through secure architecture and governance. Background in AI/ML-driven data engineering and intelligent workflow automation.

As part of the Cyber Data Security team, you will play a pivotal role in assessing client needs and designing customized security solutions that enhance data protection, information protection, compliance, and risk mitigation. 5+ years of hands-on experience with tools across and such as: Identity(Active Directory), Data Security including encryption solutions for storage, databases, networks (Guardium, Opentext, Protegrity, Fortanix, Securiti.AI etc), tokenization (for structured data), digital rights management for unstructured data (MS IRM / Purview), data loss prevention (Symantec, MS, Trellix, Zscaler), data posture mgt. (BigID, Sentra, Wiz, Securiti.AI, IBM Guardium etc.) and should have hands on experience including configuration, deployment, and management.

Familiarity with standards, frameworks and privacy laws such as ISO/IEC 27701, ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, PDPA and DAMA International Data Management Body of Knowledge (DAMA-DMBOK) would be a plus

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver compelling recommendations.

Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience mentoring and developing consultants.

Preferred CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CISSP certification or related security certification.

Able to speak Thai and English fluently.

Overview An ideal candidate will oversee the organization's data protection strategies and compliance programs. Reporting to the CISO, this leadership role will focus on ensuring the protection of sensitive data through robust data loss prevention policies. The candidate should have strong domain knowledge in governance frameworks, data protection laws, and compliance management.

Responsibilities

Build and lead teams specializing in Security and Data Governance, Cryptography, and Authentication.

Lead the implementation of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and data protection strategies.

Ensure adherence to policies across all departments through internal and external audits, complying with the latest legal and regulatory standards, including Malaysian regulations, PCI-DSS, and Data Protection Acts.

Lead initiatives in Identity and Access Management (IAM), focusing on process design and technology acquisition.

Ensure organizational compliance with established procedures for data protection, audits, and remediation.

Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes.

Requirements

Extensive experience in Cyber Security Frameworks, Authentication, Data Loss Prevention, and Data Protection standards.

Proven leadership in managing governance and compliance teams with an in-depth understanding of the regulatory landscape.

Strong experience in compliance risk management and implementing governance frameworks.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, capable of managing cross-functional teams.

10+ years of experience in information security, risk, and compliance roles within banking or financial sectors.

Strong understanding of banking regulations, cyber security frameworks, and IT governance (e.g., NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, FFIEC).

Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related fields.

Certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, or other governance and compliance-related certifications.

Work you’ll do

Serve as an integral part of the Southeast Asia Digital Privacy and Trust Team to advise clients across SEA, at the intersection of Data Privacy/Protection, Data Security, and Data Governance. Provide advisory services to clients, such as conducting gap assessments, providing suitable recommendations and supporting clients in implementing these recommendations, including technological solution implementation such as PrivacyOps and Privacy Enhancing Technology (“PET”) solutions, as well as Data Protection solutions such as Data Loss Prevention (“DLP”) and Data Tokenisation solutions, etc.

Support the conduct of fieldwork on client’s policies, documentation, and processes against applicable bases (e.g. regulations, industry standards, etc.) as part of assessments and drafting of reports;

Support implementation efforts in relation to drafting of policies, templates, processes, etc. to assist client’s remediation of gaps;

Support coordination of project activities internally and with the client project team as required to drive the engagement;

Support the conduct of training sessions to clients as part of project delivery, such as drafting training decks, coordinating administrative matters for the training conduct, etc.;

Support activities as relevant and required for implementation of data privacy/protection, security, and governance technological solutions, including development of requirements specifications and test scripts, conducting configuration activities and testing, etc.;

Conduct research as required in relation to client engagements, publications, and/or other purposes as required.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university. Prefer relevant fields such as Law, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or modules around data management, governance, protection and/or privacy;

Analytical mind with good troubleshooting skills;

Able to conduct and manage project activities independently;

Interest in data privacy, governance, and protection;

Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Certifications such as CIPM, CIPP, CIPT, CISM, CISSP, CISA, etc. is an advantage;

Coding knowledge is a bonus.

Proven track record of implementing Data Privacy technologies such as PrivacyOps (e.g. consent management, data discovery and inventory, etc.), and/or Data Protection technologies such as Data Loss Prevention, Data Classification, Masking or Tokenization Technology, Encryption, Backup, etc.
