Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated AVP to join our Group Sustainability team at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will support the execution of the Group’s Sustainability and Climate Strategy, with a strong focus on ESG and climate-related data analysis. You will play a critical role in monitoring Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, evaluating sectoral decarbonization pathways, setting sustainability performance targets, and driving ESG data-informed decision-making across the Group. This position also contributes to sustainable finance assessments, ESG risk analysis, and regulatory and voluntary external disclosures. What you will be doing
Support the implementation of the Group’s Sustainability and Climate Strategy, focusing on ESG data and climate-related initiatives
Monitor and analyze Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions to track performance and compliance with internal targets and external frameworks
Evaluate sector-specific decarbonization pathways and assist in the development of related performance goals
Enable data-driven ESG integration by ensuring data quality, consistency, and usability across business functions
Contribute to sustainable finance assessments and ESG risk evaluations
Support the preparation of climate and sustainability disclosures, ensuring alignment with regulatory and voluntary standards
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed sustainability and climate considerations into business and operational strategies
What we’re looking for
5 - 7 years of experience in sustainability, ESG reporting, environmental science, finance, or a related discipline
Strong analytical skills with experience working with ESG and climate-related data
Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., TCFD, ISSB, GHG Protocol)
Understanding of sustainable finance trends, ESG risks, and climate strategies
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and stakeholder engagement skills
Passionate about driving sustainability impact within the financial services sector
