Role Overview

As a
Data Validation Analyst

, you will play a key role in verifying the accuracy of structured financial data generated by our extraction system. You will compare numbers in raw audited documents  (PDFs or scanned documents) against structured outputs (JSON or tabular format), flag discrepancies, and provide corrections when needed. Over time, your scope may expand to include data enrichment, industry research, and other forms of structured data gathering.

  • Review extracted financial data against the original documents.
  • Validate key financial figures.
  • Identify and correct discrepancies, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Provide structured feedback on recurring issues to help improve the extraction system.
  • Maintain detailed records of validations performed for auditability.
  • Collaborate with the engineering/data team to refine validation workflows.

Qualifications

About the role

SELECTIVE BEAUTY TRADING Co., LIMITED' is seeking a full-time Data management professional to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and organising our company's data to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

What you'll be doing

  1. Accurately inputting, verifying and updating data into our systems
  2. Developing and implementing data management processes and procedures
  3. Generating reports and extracting data as required by the business
  4. Collaborating with other departments to ensure data integrity
  5. Providing support and training to users on data management best practices
  6. Identifying opportunities to improve data management and automation

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience in a data management or data entry role, preferably in the Administration & Office Support industry
  2. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  3. Strong computer and data entry skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  5. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  6. Passion for data management and a desire to continuously improve processes
