ABOUT YOUR ROLE
You will be responsible for working and delivering within the Information Management team regionally and aligning globally. Become an integral part of a thriving global team of Data Architects, ETL, BI Engineers, Project Managers and Analysts.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with our key Commercial stakeholders and create understanding of needs, complexities, impact and opportunities to support decision making.
- Provide leadership and coordination for the Commercial Business Intelligence area within a large-scale business transformation project across the Asia Pacific Region; up to 20% project-related travel (estimated through 2026).
- Capture data-related requirements such as entity, source(s), data availability, data quality, pain points, volume, speed of ingestion, latency, security and estimate the business value of meeting these requirements.
- Identify and present opportunities for Business Intelligence solutions and modelling improvements.
- Facilitate change management activities such as solution adoption, empowering users, and learning, to enable the organisation to realise the full potential of its data in combination with technology.
- Promote expertise in the functional areas of the business for users to develop their own reports and analytics, driving adoption of BI capabilities throughout the organization.
- Ability to operate with limited supervision, exercising independent judgement, initiative and tact.
- Perform role as project manager for selected projects (small to medium-sized).
- Guide less-experienced Business Intelligence Analysts and Data Professionals in other disciplines, demonstrating the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across diverse global cultures.
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
Bachelor's degree in computer/data science, engineering or business, Masters a plus
- 5+ years of relevant experience as a business analyst in Intelligence / information architecture domain
- Experience in Data Modeling, Lineage, Profiling, and Quality tools
- Strong SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries
- Experience in any of 2 functional areas (e.g. Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain & Operations, Procurement etc.), manufacturing experience is highly preferred.

Training and work experience:
- IT-related training or a degree is an advantage. However, qualified career changers are also welcome.
- Relevant professional experience integrating data between different systems desirable, but not essential.
Expertise:
- Safe handling of T-SQL querying according to the Ansi standard.
- Confident use of at least one programming language, such as Java, ABAP, .NET, C++, Python or similar.
- Initial experience with various databases, such as MS SQL Server, Postgres, Exasol, Informix, SAP Hana and Oracle.
- Initial experience in dealing with SAP S4/Hana or SAP R3.
- Understanding of the basic structure and function of ERP systems, CRM systems and other systems that are used in everyday business in order to be able to support problem-solving.
