This role involves overseeing the customs clearance processes and ensuring compliance with all customs related regulations.
Customs Clearance Operations Lead the end-to-end customs clearance process for import and export shipments. Coordinate with customs and internal teams to ensure timely clearance of goods. Review and ensure accuracy of shipping documents for customs submission. Handle duty/tax calculations and payment arrangements with relevant authorities.
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs Stay up to date with the latest customs regulations, tariffs, and duties. Ensure compliance with all applicable customs laws, government policies, and international trade regulations (such as WTO, FTA). Manage customs audits and inspections, including necessary documentation and records for compliance checks.
Coordination and Communication Liaise with customs officials and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth customs processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, finance, and operations team to align customs operations with overall business goals. Serve as a key point of contact for resolving customs-related issues and disputes.
Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate records of customs activities and ensure that all documentation is in compliance with legal requirements. Prepare periodic reports on customs activities, cost savings, and process improvements for senior management.
Requirements Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree.
Have 5-10 years experiences and basic knowledge on import and export.
Familiar with all import and export documents (K1-K9).
Knowledge on HS Code Experience in SMK or AEO are an advantage.
KEK License is a must to have.
Working Hours and Location Working Hour: 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

Experience with dangerous goods compliance will be considered a competitive advantage (DG trainings such as IMDG, IATA) Ability to represent the company to government/Customs officials.
