Technical Writer (Tender)
with 3–5 years of experience in technical solutions design and documentation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing compelling and accurate technical proposals and solution write-ups for tender submissions, particularly in the field of
IT and Network Solutions . You will work closely with sales, pre‑sales, and technical teams to translate complex technical concepts into clear and persuasive documents.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and write technical proposals in response to tender requirements, ensuring compliance with client specifications and submission deadlines.
Design and articulate
technical architecture and solutions
tailored to each tender.
Collaborate with technical and pre‑sales teams to gather information and craft a comprehensive, customized technical response.
Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, clear, well‑structured, and aligned with the company’s brand and messaging.
Assist in preparing
solution presentations , solution briefs, and any supporting materials required during the tendering process.
Participate in tender briefings and internal coordination meetings to gather insights and align the proposal with client expectations.
Support sales and marketing teams with technical content for pitches, brochures, and client communications when required.
Maintain a repository of reusable technical proposal content for future use.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in
Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering , or a related field.
3–5 years of proven experience in
technical writing and solution proposal preparation
for tenders, particularly in IT & network-related domains.
Strong understanding of
networking, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and system integration .
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with high attention to detail.
Able to simplify complex technical content for varied audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiar with proposal formatting tools.
Self‑driven, organized, and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Experience with tender portals and tender submission processes.
Experience in sales support or pre‑sales roles is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
Documentation Development:
Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is tailored for its intended audience, including user manuals, installation guides, service manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
Content Editing:
Review, revise, and edit content to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy. Use Schema ST4 to organize and update technical content (fragments, tables, graphical images), along with preparing files for translation and managing translation process.
Collaboration:
Work closely with product managers, R&D, engineers, service, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand the technical aspects of our products and services.
Content Management:
Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect new product releases, updates, and changes.
Standards & Guidelines:
Develop and adhere to standardized templates, style guides, and content management practices to ensure uniformity and quality across all documentation.
Ensure all technical documentation adheres to company standards and regulatory requirements.
What You Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, (Marketing) Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience developing a range of technical publications across a range of media.
3-5 years of technical writing experience, preferably in the technical or technology industry.
Higher level qualification in Technical Communications or related discipline will be an advantage.
Working knowledge and understanding of Component Content Management Systems.
Experience developing multi-lingual documentation across a range of media.
Effective management of translation in numerous languages.
Experienced in producing technical documents for products comprising software, hardware, graphical HMI, electronics & electromechanical subsystems.
Knowledge in Schema ST4 or other component content management systems (eg. IXIASOFT CCMS, SDL Tridion Docs, DITA works, Acrolinx) is an advantage
Illustration experience - Adobe Illustrator, Callout Designer
Knowledge of Technical Authoring best practices, XML data architecture, and DITA standards.
Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office applications & Adobe Acrobat Pro
Familiarity with markup languages such as HTML and XML.
Experience in writing technical content using XMetaL or other XML authoring tools.
Experience in translation tools and processes.
Experience creating visual aids such as graphics, diagrams, screenshots, and flowcharts is a plus.

As a Technical Writer, you will be a member of the Product Support Services team which is responsible for assisting Sitecore’s software implementation partners and customers with best practices guidance, troubleshooting complex customizations, and reverse engineering.
Your contribution to the Product Support Services organization will consist of driving and creating external and internal documentation managed by the team with a goal of enhancing our team’s external customer interactions with useful, up-to-date, and targeted documentation, improving customer satisfaction, as well as increasing self-service and ticket deflection capabilities of our technical support systems. You will also act as a communications specialist, mentoring junior software engineers and helping them improve their written and spoken English. Sitecore will provide the necessary training on the Sitecore systems and used tools.
Position includes the following responsibilities:
Write technical articles for Sitecore’s partners and customers, including known issues, how-to’s, targeted user and developer guides.
Work with internal Sitecore bug and support issue tracking systems to discover technical scenarios and transform them into documentation that clearly describes the issue and appropriate resolutions.
Maintain Sitecore’s Knowledge Base site from the content structure, content discoverability, and documentation style perspective.
Analyse problematic product areas, technical support interactions, and consult with Software Engineers and Managers to determine topics that need to be documented and how they need to documented.
Follow and contribute to Sitecore’s documentation style guidelines and writing standards.
Edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by engineers.
Coach software engineers to enhance their written and verbal communication skills.
Ideal candidates will have the following background:
Experience of working on a similar position for 2+ years.
Excellent English grammar and writing skills.
Experience of creating, structuring, and proofreading technical documentation for software IT companies.
Excellent communication skills including practical experience of collaborating with technical employees such as Developers or Software Engineers.
Excellent knowledge of word processing tools.
