- Prepare inventory-related reports and fulfill requirements from internal and external auditors.
- Review and prepare IPE for closing entries, including PPV, Warranty, E&O, MOH, etc.
- Process and review daily cost accounting matters: goods receipt, inventory movements, or adjustments.
- Lead project assignments and handle ad-hoc requests as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Fluent in written and spoken English, with strong organizational and communication skills.
- At least 12 years of accounting experience.
- Experience of over 5 years in manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US & Malaysia GAAP; experience of over 3 years in a Big 4 Accounting Firm is preferred.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under time pressure with deadlines.
- Familiarity with SAP is a plus.

Responsible for the management and coordination of the company's product costing and activities, budgeting and inventory control. Support as finance business partner with various cross functional teams to provide financial expertise on plant projects.

- Lead quarterly financial projection, working with cross functional and finance teams
- Lead Management Accounting team in monthly closing and daily tasks which includes product costing, BOM and routing updates, work order analysis, inventory management and variance reporting
- Lead the annual interim and year-end Physical Inventory exercises of the company, which include the co-ordination with inventory owners, analysis and reconciliation of the inventory count results working with cross functional teams
- Continuous review of cost accounting system to ensure that the system and processes support business goals and improve work productivity within the company. Lead and/or participate in the on-going improvement of financial & business processes within the company
- Review internal controls of the inventory function to ensure that proper controls are operating effectively and in-compliance with company policies and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
- Lead monthly Financial Review meetings with Leadership and middle management teams, which focusses on financial risks and opportunities, to drive towards achieving plant goals. This includes preparation of the monthly financial review package, working with other Finance team members
- Support Operations team on capacity and headcount planning and analysis, labor efficiency and absorption variance reporting and analysis
- Work with various business teams/ functional departments to provide financial expertise on plant projects - identify the key value drivers, cost savings opportunities & risks for each business projects. This includes verification of project savings and assess financial feasibility on project payback period/returns
- Close business partnering with cross-functional teams - to provide improved data analysis, with focus on opportunities and recommendations to assist in informed decision-making
- Support annual budgeting process in headcount and capacity planning, variable spending and Change-to-Win projects
- Lead BD Production System Zero Loss Landscape assessment to identify opportunities for continuous improvement for the plant, working closely with cross functional teams
- Involve in other ad-hoc projects assigned and perform any other duties as may be required from time to time
Education & Experience:
- Min 1-2 years relevant working experience, preferably in manufacturing environment of MNC's
- Results oriented, pro-active, able to meet tight timelines, high level of integrity and with excellent interpersonal, communication skills, analytical skills and continuous improvement mindset

Alton Intelligent Technology Sdn. Bhd. is wholly foreign-owned by Alton Industry Ltd. Group, a US-based global supplier of household products and industrial tools, with a total land area of 45.25 acres.
The base in Malaysia has established a comprehensive complex of six full-featured factories. These factories integrate motor assembly, sheet metal processing, injection moulding, general assembly lines, and automated intelligent warehousing.

I. Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining the cost accounting system. Design standard cost accounting models based on the company's production processes, and define allocation rules for raw materials, labor, and manufacturing overhead.
- Oversee cost accounting work, including cost accounting for production, procurement, and inventory; preparation of accounting vouchers for finished goods warehousing, outsourced processing, material transfers, and processing fees.
- Lead cost analysis work, including conducting cost analyses, evaluating cost schemes, and continuously improving cost accounting methods to ensure accuracy and reliability of cost data.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives, leading or participating in cross-departmental cost-saving projects, quantifying cost-saving targets, and tracking their implementation.
- Lead the implementation and functional optimization of the SAP cost module to improve accounting efficiency.
- Manage, train, and motivate department personnel.
- Provide pricing support by offering cost-structure-based pricing recommendations to the sales department, analyzing competitors’ cost strategies, and enhancing market competitiveness.
II. Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in cost roles within the manufacturing industry, with expertise in manufacturing cost accounting methods.
- Familiarity with production processes of the current or previous employer; experience in home appliances or power tools cost management is preferred, though experience in other manufacturing industries is also acceptable.
- Ability to streamline financial processes, establish new processes, and implement process improvements.
- Excellent cross-departmental communication and collaboration skills, with strong self-motivation.
- Proficiency in SAP; experience in SAP implementation is a plus.
