Asia Pacific University (APU) is a premier institution known for bridging academia and industry. Our Corporate Training Division empowers organizations through upskilling, certification programs, and talent development initiatives that are industry-relevant and future-ready.
We are seeking a driven and people-oriented Business Development Executive to join our Corporate Training team. You’ll be responsible for building strong relationships with existing clients, acquiring new corporate partners, and ensuring the effective delivery of training solutions that meet organizational needs.
- Client Relationship Building : Cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with corporate clients to understand their training and development needs.
- New Business Development : Identify, engage, and onboard new clients from various industries by promoting APU’s corporate training programs.
- Account Management : Act as a key liaison for existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and successful program implementation.
- Consultative Selling : Understand industry trends and client pain points to propose customized training solutions.
- Sales Reporting & CRM : Maintain accurate records of leads, client interactions, and sales pipelines.
- Networking & Events : Represent APU at corporate networking events, HR conferences, and industry forums to build visibility and generate leads.
- Internal Collaboration : Work closely with trainers, academic experts, and program coordinators to align client requirements with training delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Marketing, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in business development, client servicing, or corporate sales (experience in training or education is a bonus).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.

Where We Have Opportunities
Education: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality major or related field Language Skills: A good working knowledge of English Language/ Proficiency in local language may be required in some countries Experience: Relevant internship and work experience in hotel operations is an advantage Assignment: Eligibility to work at the same hotel upon graduation subject to local labour legislations Work Permit: to be customized accordingly to the local legislation (eg. For China, a minimum of 2 years full-time work experience will be required by Labor Bureau for visa application. However, this requirement does not apply to those who are passport holders of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

About the role:
Developing knowledge, skills and capability of staffs to carry out their work tasks effectively through formulation of policies, strategies and framework, then implementing the learning programs with reviews and necessary actions on the learning outcomes. Managing the resources, budget, tools, documentation and systems while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance and high- quality learning experiences.
What you will do:
Develop suitable policies, processes and framework to gauge competencies, identify gaps and training needs and the delivery of learning and development solutions.
Partner with the key stakeholders to formulate learning and development strategies based on business and individual needs.
Lead the designing/sourcing, deployment and delivery of both in-house and third party learning solutions across job functions and levels.
Effectively manage the L&D budget and HRDC fund.
Drive the Graduate Employment Program to establish a solid talent pipeline.
Ensure compliance of L&D process and initiatives with the quality and statutory requirements.
Lead L&D strategic projects to achieve predefined deliverables and KPI.
Liaise with Global Team and support the roll-out of corporate L&D programs.
Develop metrics to evaluate L&D programs using trusted L&D methods, identify areas for improvement and drive gaps closure through process and method enhancements.
Guide and support internal trainers and mentors in facilitation of in-house programs and inculcate a continuous learning culture in the organization.
Drive the company values through L&D initiatives.
Monitor and enhance learning management systems (LMS) for effective and efficient course management and e-learning with aim to develop highly skilled talents.
Provide insightful data and reports to guide decision making related to talent development.
Ensure proper maintenance and archiving of training documentation and records.
What you will need:
A recognized Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or other equivalent qualification.
At least five (5) years of related working experience in HR.
Demonstrated experience in designing, delivering and evaluating L&D interventions.
Analytical skill to decipher complex data & develop pragmatic recommendations
Facilitation and problem-solving skills
Good presentation and communication skills, both written and spoken

About Cut + Dry
Cut + Dry is revolutionizing food distribution by providing a best-in-class e-commerce platform that helps distributors connect with customers more efficiently. As a Trainer, you’ll be on the front lines of customer education, ensuring that newly onboarded distribution partners (DPs) can confidently navigate and maximize the value of our platform.
What You’ll Do
As a Trainer, you will work closely with the Growth Team to provide hands-on training to newly onboarded DPs and help them fully understand Cut + Dry’s features, tools, and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver live virtual and in-person training for new distribution partners
- Customize training sessions based on DP needs, industry best practices, and business objectives
- With the support of the product marketing team, develop easy-to-digest training materials (videos, help docs, walkthroughs) to support ongoing learning
- Monitor DP adoption metrics, identifying gaps and providing additional training where needed
- Be a trusted resource, answering customer questions and ensuring they feel confident using Cut + Dry
- Gather feedback from training sessions, working with the Senior Training Manager and Growth Managers to improve programs
- Patient, empathetic, and solutions-oriented, making training engaging and effective
- Comfortable speaking to business leaders and frontline teams alike
- An intuitive communicator who enjoys breaking down complex concepts into simple, intuitive steps
- Passionate about technology and digital transformation in the food distribution space
- 2+ years in training, customer education, or enablement
- Experience delivering live virtual and in-person training sessions
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Ability to adapt training to different learning styles
- Familiarity with e-commerce, SaaS, or logistics
