Role Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Corporate Communications & CSR/Sustainability Manager to lead the development, execution, and integration of our communication strategies with our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability initiatives. This role plays a key part in shaping the company's reputation, driving impactful community and environmental programs, and ensuring consistent and transparent messaging across all channels.
You will champion responsible business practices, manage internal and external communications, and serve as a key liaison between departments and stakeholders in advancing the company’s CSR and sustainability agenda.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Communications & Content Development
- Assist in the preparation and proofreading of written materials including reports, speeches, articles, business correspondence, and press releases.
- Create compelling content that reflects the company’s sustainability and CSR initiatives for both internal and external platforms.
- Collaborate with key departments to ensure brand consistency and accuracy of messaging across corporate communications.
- Review and execute all donations and sponsorship request for the company.
Sustainability Reporting & Strategy
- Lead the development and reporting of sustainability strategies in alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to track, verify, and report sustainability performance.
- Prepare content for the community engagement and sustainability sections of the annual Sustainability Report.
CSR Program Development & Stakeholder Engagement
- Design, implement, and monitor CSR programs in areas such as community outreach, environmental initiatives, education, and philanthropy.
- Engage with NGOs, government agencies, and community partners to drive social impact.
- Collaborate with internal teams to embed CSR values into the company culture.
Employee & Community Engagement
- Lead G3 employee engagement initiatives, including volunteering and CSR campaigns.
- Drive internal awareness and participation in sustainability programs through communications, campaigns, and training.
- Support planning and execution of corporate and special events, including those aligned with CSR and sustainability.
Brand Reputation & Crisis Communication
- Act as a brand guardian to maintain consistency in messaging and visual identity in all communications.
- Support crisis communication efforts and ensure messaging aligns with responsible and ethical business practices.
- Assist in reviewing SOPs and preparing communication materials during crises.
- Set up social listening.
- Oversee workflow and assignments within the Corporate Communications team.
- Ensure collaborative execution of CSR, sustainability, and communication strategies.
- Lead departmental risk assessment reporting and support regulatory compliance efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification in CSR/Sustainability is a plus.
- 5 – 7 years of experience in corporate communications, with a strong focus on CSR and sustainability initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, including content creation for reports, press releases, speeches, and internal/external platforms, with strong attention to detail and brand consistency.
- Experience leading employee engagement initiatives, volunteer programs, and CSR campaigns that promote a culture of responsibility and participation
- Knowledge in designing, implementing, and managing impactful CSR programs and sustainability strategies aligned with business objectives and industry best practices is an advantage.
- Candidates with experience in the government sector will be given preference.
