YOUR TASKS
Work closely with CFO and all levels of management in aspects of Controlling, including but not limited to the processes below:
- Ensure adherence to Express Controlling Manual and Corporate Accounting standard.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports including variance analysis, narratives & recommendations to various stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Conduct the annual budgeting, Mid-Term Planning and Strategic planning process ensuring that a comprehensive and accurate plan is completed for submission.
- Manage the cash flow of the business with specific focus on DPO management.
- Prepare and review BCA in a timely manner, post-evaluate actual return of major investment against proposal and highlight the issue to the management for improvement.
- Ensure implementation of audit recommendations from internal and external auditors and compliance with all global and regional network procedures and policies in the finance area.
- Implement and maintain all CRISP related activities as per requirements.
- and/or participate in continuous improvement projects including cross functional GEMBAs/First Choice Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement projects including cross functional GEMBAs/First Choice.
- Provide data for INSIGHT (Product Profitability) costing.
- Maintain the integrity of the financial applications like TM1 and SAP.
- Manage the quarterly process of identifying and reporting risk.
- Lead the team to act as Business Partner to work with function in order to come out with action plan for improvement.
- Develop a high performance and motivated controlling team.
- Train and develop team members
- At least 5 years managerial experience, preferably in a large organization.
- Strong IT software skill especially Excel, and if possible, SAP and TM1.
- Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
- Professional accountancy qualification (CPA, CA or equivalent).

Key Accountabilities
Sales Controlling
- Business partner for Sales, S&CM and E-Com teams on customer strategies and performance evaluation.
- Partnering with Commercial team & Supply Chain in weekly in market sales, net sales & distributor stock steering by brand to Forecast.
- Perform monthly review with Sales teams on channel profitability to focus on trade investment efficiency and provide recommendation/feedback.
- Analyze on trade inventory vs Sales Team forecast to ensure healthy retailers stockholding.
- Support manager to review pricing structures to support profitable growth & implement efficient approval and maintenance processes.
- Support manager to monitor Distributor margin & performance and identify financial impact.
- Partnering with commercial team to perform return on investment appraisal on trade campaign, promotions, and trade costs.
- Support manager to drive robust forecasting and budgeting processes and establish alignment with cross functional teams.
- Marketing budget steering of S&CM & E-Com teams ensuring spend discipline & generating efficiencies.
- Net Sales, trade investment, distribution cost and gross margin review in all budget or forecast cycles, as well as monthly closing process including accrual & provision management for trade & marketing spend.
- Preparation of global, regional and management reporting accurately on timely basis.
- Partnering with Regional Centers of Excellence in product costing review to improve cost efficiency.
- Close collaboration with partnering Finance functions including Regional Centers of Excellence for Marketing & Supply Chain Controlling
- Active participation in Sales & Operation Planning Process.
- Translation of S&OP into Financial Forecasts, plans, simulation and risks & opportunities.
- Together with Sales & Supply chain to monitor closely on trade & distributor stock health.
- To perform ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Business or equivalent
- 4 to 5 years of work experiences (preferably MNC FMCG)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Results-oriented, thrives under pressure, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English (oral and written); proficiency in Malay and Chinese is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership, with a high level of initiative, accountability, and ownership.
- Effective in planning, time management, presentation, negotiation, and project coordination.
- Clear, persuasive communicator across functions.

Financial Analysts gather and analyze financial data to facilitate decision-making and provide guidance to managers within the business. They make financial recommendations based on the data they have gathered and analysed. This includes information regarding past company performance against set metrics and cost management.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Extract data from financial reports to conduct financial and statistical analysis and identify financial discrepancies and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Contribute to the monitoring and controlling of expenditure by approving or denying requisitions based on whether the items are within budget.
- Prepare a variety of financial reports based on the analysis results.
- Conduct presentations related to findings and provide recommendations to the relevant internal stakeholders.
- Research and analyze costs of projects, departments, and future ventures to provide information and insights about expenses and determine profitability margins.
- Conduct budget and expense analysis and report on variances ensuring that the projected budget is met and assisting with cost reduction initiatives.
- Reconcile and review monthly account analysis for balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure budget & forecast variances are analysed and recommendations are made to correct or improve company performance.
- Assist with input into the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Ensure key pieces of analysis are performed on areas of risk or opportunity within the business and that the financial levers are understood and communicated to the business together with clear recommendations.
- Continuously review business initiatives to ensure that they meet the required profitability expectations.
- Identify cost management opportunities (processes or expenses) for ensuring improved profitability and sustainable returns for the business.
Required Experience:
- Degree in Finance / Commerce
- At least 5 years in financial planning and analysis and business analysis within a multinational company
- Comprehensive finance experience in a similar position in a related environment
- Experience with accounting software
Supporting Region:
- Australia – Will follow Malaysia working hours. May required to support Australia working hours if there’s urgent deliverables.

About The RoleGlobally facing role, responsible for Advisory segments Financial, Planning & Analysis (FP&A), including but not limited to annual budget preparation, monthly forecasts, strategic planning, management reporting and any ad-hoc / special projects for the Business.
What You’ll Do- Support monthly and quarterly review of subsegment results, including P&L, capital, KPIs, Capex, and Spend based on performance targets and objectives set by Segment FP&A, providing commentaries.
- Advise Business Partners of cost improvement or savings opportunities.
- Manage the annual Budget process from facilitation of Data Collection to review and analysis of P&Ls. Also manage monthly / quarterly forecasting and strategic planning processes.
- Work closely with Business Partners to provide analytical support in commercial assessment.
- Drive consistent client-level reporting across the P&L and TWC.
- Support Finance teams through periodic training and updates on systems / platform processes.
- Produce routine and ad hoc financial reports, packages, and pro forma analyses.
- Establish overall departmental priorities and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- CPA/CA - fully qualified preferred.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interpret complex business documents, interact effectively with stakeholders, and deliver persuasive presentations.
- Deep financial knowledge, including forecasting, budgeting, and understanding of GAAP and SOX.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in strategic solutions in a matrix environment.
- Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office Suite, PowerBi, TM1, and PeopleSoft Financials. Knowledge of real estate terminology is a plus.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects.
