We are currently seeking aCommodity Management Advisor based in Johor Senai, Malaysia.
Responsibilities:
- Executes three to five-year plans & objectives.
- Maintains responsibility for development and execution of strategies for strategic and/or high-dollar commodityor group of commodities; focusing onquality, price/value determination, and timely delivery.
- Accountable for projects or programs on a multi-functional, national or regional basis; may lead a work group or project team, or may provide advice and guidance in area of specialty,to ensure quality, delivery and cost objectives are met.
- Sets tactical plans to achieve assigned goals within established professional standards, established policies/objectives, and within given timelines.; accountable for quality of work delivered.
- Effectively drives continuous improvements across all functions, leads problem resolutionof diverse scope based on analysis of facts and data, developing short and long-term plans and solutions, updating/setting up policies to standardizeprocesses;resolves conflicts in an effective manner.
- Builds cross-functional and maintains positive relationships, where negotiation, persuasion and considerable tact are required to gain support from key suppliers and customers to ensure success of the corporation.
- Establishes and drives strategic global bidding initiatives while ensuring all site interests are understood and accounted for; supports worldwide product pricing strategy and process.
- Responsible for global negotiations of pricing, terms & conditions, and monitoring of supplier performance;maintaining a continuity of supply.
- Conducts strategic analysis on pricing, the market, suppliers, customers, competitors, contracts and long-term agreements, manages complex and diverse commodities in a dynamic environment of rapid changes.
- Ensures timely execution of commodity plans, supplier analysis, developmentand selection, quotation/contracting and supplier relationship management within established processes and policies.
- Acts as primary interface with Celestica’s suppliers for all relationship management, contract negotiation issues, establishing business framework for transactions, performance reviews, business development and supplier awards programs.
- Track and report on keep performance metrics on a regular basis
- May act as site liaison to manage critical shortage, develop strategies on constrained commodities and represent site, manage related systems changes that have broad effect on execution of purchasing responsibilities.
- Assists in developing training plan for new employees, mentoring new employees.
Requirements:
- At least 5- 7years in the Semiconductor Industry
- Deep understanding of AP culture
- Experiencesinnegotiating contract, stocking programs, LT reductions activities, supplier developmentwill be useful
- Problem resolution, conflict management
- Mechanical Engineering background preferred
- Knowledge of global supply chain emerging trends and influences of global environment on a broad range of strategic commodities including industry pricing, technology, supply/demandtrendswill be useful
- Strong knowledge of Engineering concepts and financial analysis
- Effective communication, both verbally and in writing
- High level of integrity
- Challenges status quo, adopts rational, fact-based problem resolutionmethodology and implements continuous improvements
- Ability to communicate and build strong supplier & cross-functional relationships
- Ability to work independently with strong sense of responsibility and urgency
- Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively
- Strong knowledge of basic computer applications, particularly in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft PowerPoint
- Strong desire to learn; eager to take ondynamic challenges
- Duties of this position may be performed in a remote environment
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Frequent overnight travel is required

Drive the development of the site Planning and Inventory strategies, monitor the team performance and metrics. Incorporate the Planning and Inventory vision into all elements of the plan. Recognize subject matter experts on Planning and Inventory process, tools and applications. Manage a team of direct and indirect resources to effectively support the execution of the strategy deployment plans. Contributes to multi-functional, regional or global assignments
Detailed Description- Drives team to manage material shortages to ensure Clear to Builds in collaboration with the Purchasing and SLM Team.
- Supports the team being the liaison between customer project management and internal departments on the introduction of new product requirements.
- Ensures the team performs a timely and accurate demand management process (If the demand is managed by the Planning Team at your Site).
- Ensures proper Excess, Surplus and Obsolete inventory.
- Ensures team identifies the impact of excess and obsolescence and drives necessary actions to mitigate it.
- Ensures bills of material are accurate and collaborate with other teams on any engineering changes.
- Collaborates with different stakeholders to achieve Inventory Entitlement targets and drive results.
- Drives actions to meet the Inventory goals (Inventory cash adjusted and Turns), including performing accurate Inventory Projection.
- Leads the team to maintain continuous Material Supply to achieve the targeted inventory levels and turns.
- Ensures the team Performs material and capacity analysis before loading MPS. Monitor MPS accuracy, attainment and level load metrics and drive necessary actions to improve them.
- Validates that the team Performs Financial Impact Analysis (FIA) to mitigate inventory risk before loading MPS.

**Summary**

+ Drives team to manage material shortages to ensure Clear to Builds in collaboration with the Purchasing and SLM Team.
+ Supports the team being the liaison between customer project management and internal departments on the introduction of new product requirements.
+ Ensures the team performs a timely and accurate demand management process (If the demand is managed by the Planning Team at your Site).
+ Ensures proper Excess, Surplus and Obsolete inventory.
+ Ensures team identifies the impact of excess and obsolescence and drives necessary actions to mitigate it.
+ Ensures bills of material are accurate and collaborate with other teams on any engineering changes.
+ Collaborates with different stakeholders to achieve Inventory Entitlement targets and drive results.
+ Drives actions to meet the Inventory goals (Inventory cash adjusted and Turns), including performing accurate Inventory Projection.
+ Leads the team to maintain continuous Material Supply to achieve the targeted inventory levels and turns.
+ Ensures the team Performs material and capacity analysis before loading MPS. Monitor MPS accuracy, attainment and level load metrics and drive necessary actions to improve them.
+ Validates that the team Performs Financial Impact Analysis (FIA) to mitigate inventory risk before loading MPS.

- Role Summary
As a Business Development Director (Individual Contributor) – SAP , you will lead the identification, qualification, and closure of SAP-related sales opportunities in collaboration with country-based Account Managers. Your mission will be to develop a pipeline of SAP transformation initiatives—cloud migration, S/4HANA modernization, managed services, and licensing optimization—that align with SoftwareOne’s value proposition.
- Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership: Take ownership of SAP-related sales opportunities from initial qualification through to closure across Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore .
- Collaborative Engagement: Partner closely with Account Managers in each country to jointly identify and pursue opportunities within existing and prospective customer accounts.
- Solution Selling: Understand customer business needs and position SoftwareOne’s SAP solutions (licensing, cloud migration, RISE with SAP, managed services) effectively.
- Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a healthy and qualified pipeline of SAP opportunities across the region, with accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Customer Engagement: Conduct customer-facing meetings, presentations, and workshops to position SAP value propositions.
- Partner Coordination: Engage with SAP and hyperscaler partners (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS) to co-develop and close joint sales initiatives.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated with industry trends, competitive landscape, and SAP roadmap to drive customer conversations with thought leadership.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with internal sales processes and external regulatory requirements.
What we need to see from you
Requirements
- Existing Full-Time Work Rights in Malaysia
- Ability to commute to our Kuala Lumpur office and visit customers in Malaysia as well as the Philippines and Singapore on business trips as required.
- Minimum 6-10 years’ experience in enterprise software or cloud sales, ideally with exposure to SAP or ERP environments.
- Track record of successfully closing mid to large-scale IT deals.
- Understanding of SAP ecosystem, RISE with SAP, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business , IT, or a related field.
