Responsible for data maintenance in the payroll system related to payroll information.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

  1. Calculate the final payment for resigning employees, including any outstanding entitlements and deductions.
  2. Handle IR21 tax clearance submissions for foreign employees in accordance with tax regulations.
  3. Manage and administer the time attendance system, including updating schedules and correcting overtime records.
  4. Gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize attendance reports.
  5. Address employees' payroll-related queries promptly through the ticketing system.
  6. Maintain payroll operations in accordance with policies and procedures, and recommend improvements.
Your Profile

You are best suited for this role if you have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or professional Degree, preferably in Human Resources.
  • At least 1 year of experience in human resources, specifically in payroll administration, or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience for diploma holders.
  • Good knowledge of HR processes and HR IT systems.
  • The ability to work within tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Singapore Payroll is advantageous.

Major accountabilities:

  • Lead and inspire the Payroll team for designated cluster of countries to ensure the right people, at the right time, get paid the right amount.
  • Provide inputs to the PS&S Services strategy, develop plans within the focus area and ensure its implementation across assigned region / business areas, while continuously driving improvement and innovation.
  • Partner closely with various stakeholders (finance, tax, rewards, People partner, legal, IT and the business) to ensure payroll is processed securely as per defined procedures, guidelines, legal requirements and in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Lead payroll development and implementation of process for new countries/entities to support business growth strategy
  • Manage and drive resolution in any escalated operational delivery risks or issues .
  • Analyze and identify potential design improvements (in cooperation with P&O), providing change management support and appropriate communications to prepare implementation of new services and processes.
  • Keep up to date on required regulatory/compliance requirements and ensure compliance across the function.
  • Manage and influence multiple stakeholders including expectations end-to-end are clearly defined and understood
  • Conduct periodic cost and efficiency analyses to support productivity objectives, monitor, initiate additional activities if required -Manage the performance and talent development of direct reports and contribute to talent development of indirect reports –
  • Lead or initiate various PS&S projects within the respective cluster.

Key performance indicators:

  • Feedback from internal partners and client groups -Ensure the overall performance of the assigned P&O Service Team to achieve SLAs

Minimum Requirements:
Work Experience:

  • 15+ years of professional experience in the payroll field.

  • Demonstrated experience of handling large volume of payslips every month.

  • Demonstrated experience of leading large teams and working in a matrix environment.

  • Demonstrated experience of working in a large, shared service environment.

  • Profound understanding of end-to-end Payroll and relevant statutory compliances for APAC countries like China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia.

  • Hands-on experience of Workday.

  • Has strong leadership skills, is a team player, and is able to resolve conflicts.

  • Has the ability to assess and provide input into the impact of a business process change.

  • Experience in managing other APAC countries will be an added advantage.

  • Experienced in managing vendors from negotiating contracts to continuous improvement (ADP, Strada).

  • Furthermore, the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization, including senior management and stakeholders from the country.

About The Opportunity

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing end to end payroll for a US regions.

What You’ll Get To Do

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll impacting changes, tax forms, payments, and payroll processing for assigned clients
  • Responsible for quality control and auditing to ensure accuracy and low error or defect percentage

Skills And Experience We Value

  • College Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting / taxation, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in end-to-end payroll processing
  • Knowledge of regional payroll is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight turnaround times with the ability to prioritize work when there are competing demands and urgent business needs.
  • Self-starter capable of taking initiative and working with minimal direction
  • Process and detail oriented. Able to multi-task.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

The Payroll Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring employees are compensated accurately and in compliance with regulations, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

About the Role

Your main role is responsible for managing all aspects of the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees. This role involves managing of payroll records, calculating and validate all pay element comes from our vendor, and addressing any payroll-related inquiries raise from associates. The Payroll Specialist must stay updated on relevant tax laws and regulations, and collaborate well with both internal & external stakeholders to ensure compliance and accuracy in payroll processing. Our ideal candidate is analytical and methodical, with experience in payroll administration and good knowledge of payroll regulations and practices. We value integrity, strong organizational skills and effective team players.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end to end employees' payroll processing by consolidate of time-and-attendance and payroll master data and other payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, promotions) in adherence to company timeline
  • Support all payroll tool and system upgrades
  • Ensure payroll procedure are compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
  • Support and assist in internal and external audits related to payroll records.
  • Maintain consistent, complete, accurate and timely records and prepare all necessary reports and dashboards
  • Response promptly to payroll-related inquiries within stipulated service level agreement and provide sustainable resolution to any concerns raised by employees

Qualifications

  • BSc/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field.
  • At least two years of solid working experience in regional payroll (shared services) function.

Required Skills

  • Familiarity with payroll software, HRIS and MS Office (specifically Excel).
  • A keen eye for details and analytical mind.
  • Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent time management skills and sense of urgency to ensure we are adhered to pay & legislative deadlines.
  • Good command in written and verbal communication in English is a must and Fluency in any other languages is a plus.
  • Experienced in payroll process improvements or consolidated project shall be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Chinese.

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of Payroll processes for the countries within area of responsibility.

What You Will Do

As a Payroll Specialist in Tetra Pak, you will:

  • Executes payroll processes and payments accurately and in a timely manner Ensures proper updates are made in relevant local payroll / time management systems. Leads the income tax related matters.
  • Guarantee the interface with external payroll provider, manages time and attendance and payroll systems and the accurate accounting process related to payroll. Manage local external providers and approve related invoices.
  • Ensure accurate payment for expatriates, following global instructions from Global Mobility. Guarantee correct tax application and social security, applying existing countries treaties.
  • Responsible to guarantee payments, reports and other requests from external labour entities as (Tax Authorities, Social Security, Labour Ministry, Labour Courts, etc).
  • Administers benefits and welfare/recognition programmers including handling of employee benefit claims such as insurance and medical claims. Generates related reports and statistics for stakeholders as well as supporting audits where relevant.
  • Manage, track and follow up on employee queries in the ticket handling system. Builds a knowledge inventory of frequently asked questions to expedite resolution of queries accurately. Guides and points employees and managers to information on HR selfservice portal (ORBIS) in order to foster a habit of finding the necessary data on the portal
  • Manages and ensure integrity of master data in relevant management system on timely and accurate basis.
  • Participates in adhoc projects as appropriate.

We believe you have

  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience in Payroll area.
  • Good knowledge of labour and industrial laws and prevailing HR practices and taxation principles.
  • Have regional payroll experience in Oceania market.
  • Proven data management / analysis skills

Lazada WP. Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia The Payroll Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring employees are compensated accurately and in compliance with regulations, contributing to the overall success of the organization. About the Role Your main role is responsible for managing all aspects of the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees. This role involves managing of payroll records, calculating and validate all pay element comes from our vendor, and addressing any payroll-related inquiries raise from associates. The Payroll Specialist must stay updated on relevant tax laws and regulations, and collaborate well with both internal & external stakeholders to ensure compliance and accuracy in payroll processing. Our ideal candidate is analytical and methodical, with experience in payroll administration and good knowledge of payroll regulations and practices. We value integrity, strong organizational skills and effective team players. Responsibilities Manage end to end employees' payroll processing by consolidate of time-and-attendance and payroll master data and other payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, promotions) in adherence to company timeline Support all payroll tool and system upgrades Ensure payroll procedure are compliance with relevant laws and internal policies Support and assist in internal and external audits related to payroll records. Maintain consistent, complete, accurate and timely records and prepare all necessary reports and dashboards Response promptly to payroll-related inquiries within stipulated service level agreement and provide sustainable resolution to any concerns raised by employees Qualifications BSc/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field. At least two years of solid working experience in regional payroll (shared services) function. Required Skills Familiarity with payroll software, HRIS and MS Office (specifically Excel). A keen eye for details and analytical mind. Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Excellent time management skills and sense of urgency to ensure we are adhered to pay & legislative deadlines. Good command in written and verbal communication in English is a must and Fluency in any other languages is a plus. Experienced in payroll process improvements or consolidated project shall be advantageous. Proficiency in Chinese. Seniority level

About the Role:

You will ensure accurate processing and recording of the Association’s payroll. You will safeguard cash assets and confidential information. You Will:

  • Process monthly end-to-end payroll of multiple countries (US & Africa region) following established global policy, process and compliance framework.

  • Maintain good relationships and work with HR/Finance/IT/ADP.

  • Collaborate with Governing Bodies (SCHWAB/ FSA/ H.S.A/ Garnishment) for any Statutory compliance information.

  • Perform Year-End Preparation and perform balance adjustment for any ad-hoc case.

  • Ensure Statutory compliance submissions are met.

  • Handle payroll calendar with respective country payroll.

  • Handle PO billing or any payment execution for country payroll.

  • Collaborate with HR, business owners and temporary staff agencies to ensure POs are raised, receipted and payments made, accruing expenditure at every month-end for temp hires.

  • Work with External/Internal Audit for any supporting documents/ enquiry.

  • Update all Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to ensure documents are up-to-date.

  • Review timesheet submissions for accuracy and completeness; troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments.

  • Calculate employee payroll deductions, including taxes and benefit premiums.

  • Reconcile payroll before transmission and validate confirmation reports.

  • Ensure appropriate tax treatment of employer paid benefits.

  • Handle escalation issues for Level 2 payroll support .

  • Process correct garnishment calculations and ensure compliance.

  • Process accurate reporting.

  • Use a hybrid work schedule

You Have:

  • 2+ years' accounting experience processing multi-state/jurisdiction payroll.

  • High School Diploma.

  • Must demonstrate English language competency.
