Purpose of Role
To deliver engaging and effective Computer Science lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, fostering students’ computational thinking, programming skills, and digital literacy. The teacher will inspire learners to explore the world of technology and prepare them for academic success and real-world application.
ISP Teacher Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the IGCSE Computer Science syllabus requirements.
Teach core topics such as algorithms, programming (e.g., Python), data representation, computer systems, and networks.
Use a variety of teaching strategies and digital tools to accommodate different learning styles.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress through formative and summative assessments.
Prepare students for IGCSE examinations, including revision sessions and mock exams.
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and share best practices.
Stay current with technological advancements and integrate them into teaching.
Participate in school events, extracurricular activities (e.g., coding clubs, robotics), and professional development.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a related field (required).
Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
Experience teaching the Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science curriculum is highly desirable.
Strong programming knowledge, preferably in Python.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Passion for technology and education.

Key Responsibilities

Position Purpose
As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Computer Science you will be expected to prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and laboratories and to assess students in the relevant discipline. The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Computer Science position will be within the School of Science, Technology and Engineering. Teaching

• Supervise Masters by Research and PhD students.

- Strong knowledge in teaching diverse computer science courses.
- Must be able to create new syllabus and teach computer sciences courses with specialization on subjects related to: Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security and Cloud Computing.
- Familiar with Python/ CSS/ PHP/ HTML/Java/ C++ /C programming languages are required.
- Active with scholarly activities in Scopus indexed peer- reviewed journal publications with Google h-index at least 3 is an added advantage.
- Familiar with MQA documentation for computing and accreditation process is an added advantage.
- Familiar with Outcome Based Education (OBE) requirements is an added advantage.
- Have supervision experience before for completed PhD or Master student as main supervisor in computer science is a strong advantage.
- Responsible, good work ethics, helpful nature, highly cooperative with teamwork-oriented mindset are required.

The Opportunity
Level B Teaching Fellows are expected to make solid contributions to teaching and learning within their school. Teaching Fellows at this level may be appointed in recognition of distinction in their disciplinary area.
