**Job Description**
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
1. Liaise with NPI Procurement, Design Engineers, Commodity Managers and other relevant stakeholders to ensure and drive a robust sourcing strategy at the NPI phase; Ensure continuity of supply and best in class components in BOMs for all Sandisk flash products
2. Provide technology expertise to commodity managers to develop the supply base strategy
3. Drive supply base strategy, by BOM screen, at product design stage; propose alternate sources or replacements and drive the technical qualification process
4. Provide expert technical support for the supplier/technology selection process
5. Ensure qualified suppliers or components are meeting Sandisk technical requirements, quality requirements, and green policy requirements
6. Review suppliers' technology roadmaps, ensure suppliers are meeting Sandisk technical requirements
7. Work with PDT teams to support NPI program milestones
**Qualifications**
**Required**
+ Bachelor degree or above in Engineering or Science with equivalent experience
+ Min 5 years of professional experience including project management
+ Expert knowledge and experience with electronic components
**Preferred**
+ Prior experience as technical commodity management, product development, quality management or field application engineering is a must; Hardware design experience is a plus
+ Communicate well in English both in verbal and written form
**Skills**
+ Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills required
+ Excellent team facilitation and presentation skills required
+ Ability to present to all levels of management / stakeholders and articulate strategies

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Fundamental understanding of Product Design & Development principles
- Knowledge of material selection for plastic and metal components, considering mechanical, thermal, electrical, and environmental factors
- Basic grasp of Electrical Engineering concepts
- Familiarity with SAP and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead and contribute to virtual meetings

Supports the product level FA and NPI. Performs product level root cause analysis to identify if issues are due to components, testing setup, handling, workmanship, or design weaknesses. Provides technical support and verifies proper execution of board and product level tests. Monitors data and develops golden samples to ensure testing setup consistency. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan analysis steps based on background information and application-level results to identify potential failure causes and define FA plans.
- Design detailed FA plans based on nondestructive or preliminary analysis results.
- Develop component or subassembly screening methods to mitigate risks at the product level.
- Review CFA reports to verify conclusions and identify risks or overstress issues at the product level.
- Support revisions to FA plans and evaluation tests if root causes are not identified.
- Participate in meetings with field application engineers and customers to understand failure backgrounds and discuss potential causes.
- Collaborate with suppliers to review root cause analyses and preventative actions.
- Provide technical support to factories, including methods to detect hidden quality issues, such as test coverage and thermal stress analysis.
- Advise on process improvements and quality detection methods.
- Assist Program/Quality Teams in providing feedback to customers regarding NPI analysis results.

1. Plan the analysis step.
1. Based on the background information and application-level analysis result to identify the possible cause of failure, then define the FA plan.
2. Design the deep level FA plan based on the nondestructive or preliminary analysis result.

2. Review the CFA report.
1. Verify the conclusion from CFA report that further study any risk or overstress problem at product level.
2. Support the revision of the FA plan and evaluation test content, if not able to find out possible root cause.
3. Participate in the meeting with field application engineer and customer to understand the background of failure and explain the possible cause.
4. Participate in the meeting with supplier to review the root cause analysis and related preventative action.
3. To provide technical support to factory.
1. To provide method to verify or analyze the hidden potential quality problem inside product, such as, test coverage of PCBA from subcontractor; thermal stress analysis for the component inside PCBA.
2. Advice the possible solution and detect method on specific process issues or quality improvement to factory.
3. To assist Program/Quality Team in providing feedback to customer on NPI analysis result that come from new process or reliability evaluation.
4. Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
5. Other duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**

+ Experience in electronic circuit analysis, semiconductor and PCBA manufacturing process and FA knowledge.
**EDUCATION:**
+ Bachelors Degree in Power/Micro-Electronic Engineering, or equivalent education and/or experience.
