We are looking for a talented and passionate Commis Chef to join our dynamic team at MST Golf Arena at The Gardens Mall, Kuala Lumpur. As a Commis Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the culinary operations and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to develop your skills in a vibrant and fast-paced hospitality environment.
Location: MST Golf Arena, The Gardens Mall
Responsibilities- Coordinates daily tasks with the CDP and Demi Chef and supports in the daily operation and work
- Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks
- Ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all time
- Ensures minimum kitchen wastage by practising FIFO and by monitoring the food stock
- Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organised for quality assurance.
- Strictly complies with Food Safety standards as set by the Malaysian Food Act and as per company standards and policies such as food storage, food handling and preparation, temperature control, safety & sanitations standards and procedures, involving but not limited to utensils, kitchen equipment and overall cleanliness
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong passion for food and a keen eye for detail in food presentation.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new cooking techniques and trends.
