Position Summary
This position will be responsible for providing financial analysis, insights, and business decision support to the assigned part of the Commercial team, including contract renewals, new business opportunities, and responses to competitive pressures, directly and through team management. In addition, the Associate Manager will play a key role in the development and analysis of a monthly Commercial forecast and monitoring the financial performance of customer accounts. Provide team management and prioritization of resources in the analyst pool to support the markets in the Geo Cluster. Key Result Areas include achieving results with regards to delivering Commercial Business Result through critical thinking, collaboration, process improvement, and change management.
Responsibilities
-Provide understanding about the MYSG Market/Cluster performance and outlook.
-Support Cluster/Market Commercial teams during business planning by providing financial and business insight
-Provide support to the Senior Finance Manager/FM through effective management of the GEO cluster analysts
-Provide support to the SFM/FM for major proposals affecting the business, e.g. contract renewals, new product reviews and competitive pressures
-Provide financial leadership and decisions support to cross-functional assigned Sales and Marketing teams
-Lead in the preparation of the Category, Channel & Large Customer's Annual Business Plan and Forecast
-Manage Category, Channel & Large Customer P&Ls from sales to gross margin
-Ensure the absolute and quality of margin is driven through effective direction on TI ROI, and margin management.
-Proactively review profit initiatives and risk mitigation activities
-Deliver system & process improvements through collaboration with TG COE and engagement with the commercial team.
-Support the team with adopting a curious mindset that looks both internally and externally

+ Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
+ Minimum 4-5 years in Financial Planning and Analysis, preferably within an MNC environment.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modeling.
+ Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.
+ Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in financial analysis.
+ Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing environments.

**WHAT WILL YOU DO?**
(1) **Commercial Finance / Business Partner**
+ Provide day-to-day finance leadership for FP&A and business partnership for the country's operating teams while optimizing commercial performance.
+ Collaborate with commercial business partners, country, and regional division finance teams to ensure key results and timelines for business reviews and submissions are met.
+ Track and analyze monthly forecasts vs actuals for backlog, bookings, and revenue by accounts, market segments, or business divisions.
+ Communicate key risks and opportunities, identify corrective actions, and partner with commercial business partners to meet/exceed growth targets.
+ Support Sales and collaborate across functions to drive business results.
+ Drive monthly and quarterly business reviews, annual operating plan, and long-range strategic plan.
+ Support pricing and commercial terms analysis for new and existing businesses.
+ Assist in special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
+ Use Hyperion Planning for loading of forecast and planning financial numbers, where applicable.
**(2) Control & Risk Management**
+ Establish, update, improve, and implement compliance-related internal control systems and SOPs.
+ Provide support on compliance-related matters and monitor behavior against company integrity rules.
+ Perform risk assessment of third-party intermediaries and develop recommendations to minimize risk.
+ Support the implementation of compliance programs and keep commercial teams aligned with company and accounting guidelines.
**(3) Tax & Audit**
+ Provide support to tax, internal, and external audits where applicable.
WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR?
+ Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent.
+ 4+ years of progressive experience in commercial finance or FP&A, and 6+ years of experience in an MNC environment.
+ Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities with advanced Excel skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, self-motivated, hands-on, and meticulous.
+ Keen learner with an inquisitive mind and good commercial sense, comfortable with ambiguity.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence across divisions and functions.
+ Ability to deliver results within a matrixed and complex work environment.
+ Ability to handle highly critical information with absolute confidentiality and integrity.
+ Applied knowledge of various ERP, reporting systems (e.g., Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning) and business tools (e.g., SFDC, Power BI) is an advantage.

Financial Analysts gather and analyze financial data to facilitate decision-making and provide guidance to managers within the business. They make financial recommendations based on the data they have gathered and analysed. This includes information regarding past company performance against set metrics and cost management.
**Key Roles and Responsibilities:**
+ Extract data from financial reports to conduct financial and statistical analysis and identify financial discrepancies and recommend appropriate solutions.
+ Contribute to the monitoring and controlling of expenditure by approving or denying requisitions based on whether the items are within budget.
+ Prepare a variety of financial reports based on the analysis results.
+ Conduct presentations related to findings and provide recommendations to the relevant internal stakeholders.
+ Research and analyze costs of projects, departments, and future ventures to provide information and insights about expenses and determine profitability margins.
+ Conduct budget and expense analysis and report on variances ensuring that the projected budget is met and assisting with cost reduction initiatives.
+ Reconcile and review monthly account analysis for balance sheet accounts.
+ Ensure budget & forecast variances are analysed and recommendations are made to correct or improve company performance.
+ Assist with input into the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
+ Ensure key pieces of analysis are performed on areas of risk or opportunity within the business and that the financial levers are understood and communicated to the business together with clear recommendations.
+ Continuously review business initiatives to ensure that they meet the required profitability expectations.
+ Identify cost management opportunities (processes or expenses) for ensuring improved profitability and sustainable returns for the business.
**Required Experience:**
+ Degree in Finance / Commerce
+ At least 5 years in financial planning and analysis and business analysis within a multinational company
+ Comprehensive finance experience in a similar position in a related environment
+ Experience with accounting software
**Supporting Region:**
+ Australia - Will follow Malaysia working hours. May required to support Australia working hours if there's urgent deliverables.
