1. ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Retail Assistant/Associate is responsible for assisting customers, processing sales transactions, maintaining a clean and organized store, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
The ideal candidate is a customer-oriented, adaptable, and responsive individual well-fitted to communicate with high-end customers; he or she is able to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively.
2. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service & Enquiries
-Assist customers with general enquiries and provide information on services
-Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers at all times
-Communicate effectively with customers through various channels (in-person, phone, messaging)
-Respond promptly to customer enquiries and ensure timely follow-ups
-Acknowledge and resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
Order Processing & Store Operations
-Assist with order placement, processing, and collection of serviced items
-Record and maintain accurate details of customer transactions, interactions, and feedback
-Inform customers when their orders are ready for collection
-Ensure proper handling, packing, and processing of bags, wallets, and shoes for servicing
-Manage and track collection deadlines and schedules
Product & Service Knowledge
-Stay well-informed about Dr Bags’ services and processes to confidently assist customers
-Conduct skilled assessments, cleaning, colouring, and minor repair services for leather goods
Teamwork & Store Support
-Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth store operations

Job Description
Receive and check incoming stock, and place items on the sales floor as needed. Maintain accurate logs of inventory movements, including incoming and outgoing shipments. Pack items for delivery, ensuring proper labeling and secure packaging. Dispose of trash and clean spills to maintain a safe and tidy environment. Ensure the workspace is clean, organized, and well-maintained. Welcome customers warmly, assist them in locating products, and provide helpful advice or recommendations. Keep store shelves fully stocked, neatly arranged, and labeled correctly. Return misplaced items to their correct positions and organize them appropriately. Monitor and replenish products to prevent stock shortages or damage. Remove expired products and reposition items nearing expiry with special promotions. Guide customers to the right aisles or shelves to simplify their shopping experience. Assist customers and cashiers with price verification when necessary. Help cashiers with efficient bagging and handling of purchases. Operate point-of-sale systems, including cash registers and card payment devices. Process payments accurately, ensuring prices and quantities are correct and providing receipts. Handle exchanges and customer complaints in a professional manner. Package items securely to ensure safe handling for customers. Adhere to company policies on payment methods, promotions, and vouchers. Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors while adhering to workplace policies and guidelines. Requirements:
SPM certificate or equivalent (preferred). Prior experience in retail or customer service is an advantage but not mandatory. Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English (additional languages are a plus). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions. Friendly, approachable, and customer-oriented attitude. Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 5kg when stocking or organizing shelves. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required. Benefits:
