Job Title: Clinical Psychologist
Location: Solace Asia Facility, Ampang
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at a leading residential addiction treatment facility. This role is vital in providing expert psychological assessment, evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and ongoing support to residents. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and enhance the overall well-being of individuals in treatment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and psychotherapy for individuals with substance and/or behavioral addictions and co-occurring mental health conditions within a residential setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, integrating evidence-based therapies tailored to each client's needs
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and psychoeducation workshops on recovery from addiction within a biopsychosocial framework
- Work collaboratively on a team of clinical psychologists, counselors, psychiatrists, recovery support coaches, nurses and medical professionals to provide multidisciplinary care
- Maintain clinical documentation and client records in accordance with ethical and legal requirements
- Offer crisis intervention to clients experiencing acute distress or substance-use related emergencies
- Participate in clinical meetings to discuss case formulations, treatment strategies and client treatment progress
- Stay current with advancements in addiction treatment and evidence-based interventions through continuous professional development
Requirements:
- Master’s or doctoral degree in clinical psychology from an accredited institution
- Registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC) (required)
- Registered as a full member of the Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology (MSCP) (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a clinical psychologist (preferred)
- Desire and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to clients
- Enjoys working with clients within a group setting
- Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working within a dynamic environment
- Openness and willingness to learn and grow professionally
