- Address any CRR related to climate stress testing.
- Support other internal and regulatory stress testing exercises
Formal Education:
Relevant degree in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, economics, risk management and finance.
Preferred Level Of Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial institution, preferably in risk management and stress testing.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and enhance the climate risk stress testing processes, methodologies and models. Engage with internal stakeholders to support delivery of the climate risk stress testing. Develop climate scenario planning/ stress testing capabilities Conduct assessment of climate risk scenarios, focusing primarily on the execution of stress tests and translation of climate risk scenarios to credit risk projections Simulate MFRS9 ECL and/or regulatory credit risk capital demand (RWA and EL) projections for the credit portfolios. Prepare and submit reports for climate risk stress tests for management, board and regulator. Conduct in depth analysis of climate risk stress test results to identify risk drivers. Your key responsibilitiesYou will be contributing to the growth and development of the CCaSS practice by taking operational responsibility and accountability for engagement team support by:
- Working on diverse climate risk management projects, encompassing development of physical and transition risk stress testing processes, methodologies, and models for clients.
- Assessing the impact of climate risk to other financial risk.
- Reviewing potential climate stress scenarios, risk drivers, policies and manuals related to climate stress testing.
- Analyzing strategic, operational, risk and financial implications of sustainability trends and translating these into commercial impact.
- Assisting clients on climate risk management processes, policies and framework, including risk identification, measurement, monitoring and integration of climate risk into the enterprise risk framework.
- Partnering with clients to identify and diagnose their needs and the ability to cross-sell services; and completing high level technical reports and proposals.
- Managing complex technical issues in technical discipline area.
- Demonstrating knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice in area of technical discipline.

Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Climate Change Associate to implement and manage our rapidly growing portfolio of emission reduction projects and corporate sustainability services globally. You will be responsible for the full project and sales cycle of each project and lead beginning from the initial due diligence to certification under international carbon and environmental attributes standards. The successful candidate will be based in Malaysia.
Responsibilities
- Emission reductions project sourcing and business development
- Familiarise with carbon and other environmental quantification standards such as the VCS, the Gold Standard, I-REC, GCC etc
- Engage in implementation and project management of emission reduction project
- Prepare project technical documentation and stakeholder consultation as per the requirements
- Conduct site visit and travel to project locations as and when required
- Maintain excellent relationships with project owners and other 3rd party stakeholders such as auditors etc.
- Engage with corporates with the aim of providing consulting services in the areas of sustainability, carbon foot-printing, GHG reduction target setting etc.,
- Review and analyze available sources of information such as CDP, news articles, internet search relevant to sourcing new corporate clients
- Learn topics such as GHG foot-printing, Science Based Targets (SBTs), Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), GRI reporting
- Directly manage or support key deliverables on corporate sustainability advisory services
- Review technical documents prepared by team members and by third-parties such as auditors, project owners and partners
- Follow internal guidelines, tools and software making sure key information and milestone remains up to date
- Establish vision, strategy, goals, and priorities for Coral Future’s project portfolio and sustainability services and proactively seek new business opportunities
- University degree in Engineering, Science, Economics or a related field or equivalent work experience (Master’s degree is a plus)
- 0-3 years of Project Management or related experience is a plus. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities
- Drive and support client relationships in climate change and sustainability space.
- Support cross lines of service teams in project deliveries related to focus areas including GHG/carbon accounting and target setting, Scope 3 assessments and trainings, net zero roadmaps, decarbonization strategy, carbon markets, renewable energy certificates (RECs), climate risk and resilience, product carbon footprinting.
- Assist and support in the go-to-market of our climate related tools and services.
- Support building of scalable products and services that support continued replication efforts across our multi-sector pool of territory clients.
- Collaborate and support development of training material for climate and carbon related offerings.
- Engagement areas can include: GHG assessment & disclosure, decarbonisation strategy, net zero transformations, carbon and RE markets, climate risk assessment, target-setting (Net zero/SBTi/others), internal carbon pricing, product carbon footprinting, life cycle analysis (LCA), and others.

Skills and experience
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in climate change advisory or environmental consulting.
- Good working knowledge of carbon accounting standards and guidelines (ISO 14064, GHG Protocol, PCAF, ISO14067 etc.).
- Working knowledge on one or more of the following areas: GHG accounting including Scope 3 emissions assessments and training, financed emissions, decarbonization pathways, SBTi methodologies, CDP, TCFD, climate-related risk assessment, scenario modeling/analysis, internal carbon pricing, carbon markets and RE markets.
- Experience in carbon markets (carbon market project development, policies etc.) and RE markets would be highly desirable.
- Experience in related sustainability topic areas, e.g., energy transition, just transition, and sustainable supply chains are desirable, but not essential.
- Experience across broad range of sectors such as financial services, energy, utilities, manufacturing, agriculture and government would be highly desirable.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel - ability to manage large data sets and build complex tools. Experience in data manipulation and visualization is an advantage.
- Strong technical writing skills with an ability to synthesize information and draft reports.
- Good project management and coordination skills to manage multiple projects.
- Deliver high-quality work, in a conscientious and professional manner.

Your key responsibilities
You will be contributing to the growth and development of the ESG Assurance practice by taking operational responsibility and accountability for engagement team support by:
- Evaluating and verifying the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices of organizations. This role involves conducting assessments, audits, and reviews to ensure compliance with ESG standards and frameworks.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' ESG practices and reporting.
- Verifying the accuracy and reliability of ESG data and disclosures.
- Evaluating compliance with relevant ESG standards, regulations, and frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, IFRS Sustainability Standards).
- Collaborating with clients to understand their ESG goals and challenges, providing guidance to clients on best practices for ESG reporting and assurance readiness.
- Preparing detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and areas for improvement and presenting the findings to clients and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Assisting clients in developing action plans to address identified gaps in ESG performance and reporting.
- Contributing to the development of internal methodologies and tools for ESG assurance.
- Participating in training and development initiatives to enhance personal and team capabilities. This includes facilitating workshops and training sessions on ESG topics for clients and internal teams.
- Managing multiple assurance projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards,
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and insights for assessments.
- Demonstrating knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and codes of practice in area of technical discipline including familiar with BNM’s Climate Change and Principle-based Taxonomy, Climate Risk Management and Scenario Analysis, Climate Risk Stress Testing, Value-Based Intermediation, IFRS S1 and S2 and Securities Commission’s Guidelines
- Managing, coordinating and delivering multiple project tasks including proposal and assisting in business development and pitching assignments to engage potential clients.

Previous working experience in Banking or Insurance industry is an added advantage
- Qualified charted accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CPA, etc.)
- A minimum 5 years of professional experience in financial assurance services or climate change advisory services
- Solid understanding of assurance standards and frameworks
- Familiarity with one or more of the following areas: IFRS S1 and S2, TCFD, GHG accounting (including Scope 3 emissions evaluations and training), financed emissions, SBTi methodologies, CDP, climate risk assessment, scenario analysis, internal carbon pricing, carbon markets, and renewable energy markets.
