Climate Change Associate to implement and manage our rapidly growing portfolio of emission reduction projects and corporate sustainability services globally. You will be responsible for the full project and sales cycle of each project and lead beginning from the initial due diligence to certification under international carbon and environmental attributes standards. The candidate will work with ERM’s business development teams and leaders across Asia Pacific to maintain existing client relationships as well as grow new client portfolios in Southeast Asia and more broadly resulting in the growth of ERM’s opportunity pipeline. Tasks and Responsibilities
Leading projects’ implementation:

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Renewable Energy Engineer to design, develop and implement cutting-edge renewable energy systems, including solar photovoltaic (PV), hydropower and energy storage solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, leveraging your expertise to advance Malaysia's 70% renewable energy target by 2050.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize renewable energy systems (solar PV, hydropower, wind) using tools like AutoCAD, PVsyst or MATLAB.
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies and energy yield analyses to ensure project viability.
- Develop detailed project plans, including system layouts, material specifications and financial models.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (e.g., ISO 14001, Green Building Index) and NETR standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI engineers for grid optimization and cybersecurity specialists for smart grid integration.
- Troubleshoot and innovate solutions for energy efficiency and storage.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to support project funding and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Renewable Energy
- 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy engineering, with expertise in solar PV, hydropower or energy storage systems.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, MATLAB) and basic programming (e.g., Python for data analysis).
- Strong understanding of sustainable materials and grid integration principles.
- Familiarity with Malaysias renewable energy policies (e.g., LSS, NETR) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
