Evaluating and verifying the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices of organizations. This role involves conducting assessments, audits, and reviews to ensure compliance with ESG standards and frameworks.

to lead a portfolio of projects for ERM’s key corporate clients in Malaysia, Southeast Asia and beyond.

This is a senior role, where the candidate will need to be a team leader for a team of 6-8 consultants in Malaysia, thought leader in promoting climate change topic internally, within ERM team, and amongst various stakeholders in Southeast Asia and Asia-Pacific region (corporates’ executives, project developers, government agencies etc.) via participation in seminars, conferences and clients events as well as connecting with other lead climate experts across ERM.

The candidate will work with ERM’s business development teams and leaders across Asia Pacific to maintain existing client relationships as well as grow new client portfolios in Southeast Asia and more broadly resulting in the growth of ERM’s opportunity pipeline. Tasks and Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Renewable Energy Engineer to design, develop and implement cutting-edge renewable energy systems, including solar photovoltaic (PV), hydropower and energy storage solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, leveraging your expertise to advance Malaysia's 70% renewable energy target by 2050.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize renewable energy systems (solar PV, hydropower, wind) using tools like AutoCAD, PVsyst or MATLAB.

• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies and energy yield analyses to ensure project viability.

• Develop detailed project plans, including system layouts, material specifications and financial models.

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (e.g., ISO 14001, Green Building Index) and NETR standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI engineers for grid optimization and cybersecurity specialists for smart grid integration.

• Troubleshoot and innovate solutions for energy efficiency and storage.

• Prepare technical reports and presentations to support project funding and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Renewable Energy

• 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy engineering, with expertise in solar PV, hydropower or energy storage systems.

• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, MATLAB) and basic programming (e.g., Python for data analysis).

• Strong understanding of sustainable materials and grid integration principles.

• Familiarity with Malaysias renewable energy policies (e.g., LSS, NETR) is a plus.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.

-Responsible in handling full set of accounts, cash flow projection and management reporting.

-Responsible for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger.

-Handle daily collections, treasury and banking activities.

-Manage petty cash and process employee claims.

-Monitor inventory, sales order process, purchasing and control of the approved budget.

The new role : Marketing Leadership – Solar Industry Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies to promote solar energy solutions, including PV systems, BIPV, and solar leasing. Enhance brand positioning through public relations, digital campaigns, and participation in renewable energy events. Manage digital marketing initiatives (SEO, SEM, social media) and content development to drive lead generation and customer engagement. Conduct market intelligence to monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and new market opportunities within Malaysia’s solar sector. Sales & Business Development Lead the sales team to achieve revenue goals across various solar segments (commercial, industrial, utility-scale). Identify, pursue, and secure high-impact business opportunities such as government tenders, corporate PPAs, and solar farm projects. Establish and grow strategic relationships with developers, EPCs, and financial institutions. Develop effective pricing models, manage sales pipelines, and lead contract negotiations for solar projects. Cross-Functional Leadership Work closely with technical, operations, and finance teams to assess project viability and ensure profitability. Mentor and lead the marketing and sales teams to foster a results-driven, collaborative work environment. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), adjusting marketing and sales strategies to optimize outcomes. Regulatory Compliance & Innovation Ensure marketing and sales practices comply with relevant solar policies and incentives (e.g., NEM, FiT, tax benefits). Drive product innovation based on market needs, including integration of technologies like energy storage and EV charging. Reporting & Strategy Deliver regular reports on sales forecasts, ROI analysis, and market expansion strategies to senior management. Requirements: University degree in Marketing/Business/Management/Engineering or equivalent Required Languages: English and Malay; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus. Minimum 4 years of experience in corporate sales, key accounts, or related fields. Experience in logistics, FMCG, or food and beverage industries is advantageous. Experience in Logistics/Warehouse industries is an advantage. Excellent commercial and communication skills. Proactive and positive approach to customers internally and externally.
