About the job PROJECT MANAGER (CIVIL/INFRA) Job Summary

With the upcoming Civil & Equipment projects, the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) intends to hire a Project Manager (Civil) as part of the Project Integration Division (PID) team, which is responsible for the strategic and significant capital investments of PTP. The objective of the Project Manager is to serve as the central point of coordination and leadership, ensuring efficient project delivery and the stakeholders' satisfaction.
He/she will play a crucial role in driving and overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects. Not limited to that, he/she also will facilitate effective communication among team members, monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure that project goals are met within the defined scope and timeline.

Job Description
  • To manage and communicate the delivery of designated projects with all stakeholders and to perform the project works safely within agreed timeframes, budget, scope, and quality.
  • Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables, detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation in line with the PID project framework.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Participate in a tender team and lead the analysis and evaluation of the bidders proposals.
  • Monitor project progress, track key metrics, and proactively identify and address issues or risks.
  • Manage project budgets, expenses, and resource utilization, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members and stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, prepare progress reports, and present updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholders expectations.
  • Evaluate project outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and implement lessons learned for future projects.
  • Effectively execute other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in Civil/Structure or any Engineering-related field.
  • At least 12 years of work experience with a minimum of 8 years in a Project Manager role.
  • Proven track record experience as a Project Manager, successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Proven track record in project management and ability to manage multiple assignments and stakeholders at the same time. PMP certification or similar project management certifications are preferred.
  • Experience managing civil/infrastructure projects, particularly in port environments, is an asset. This includes experience in warehouses or similar facilities projects, earthworks or reclamation.
  • Familiarity with preparing business cases, conducting feasibility studies, managing project inception stages, and leading change management initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Ability to work independently, exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to build strong working relationships and work collaboratively.
  • Strong presentation skills and highly organized, able to communicate effectively and interact with senior leaders or executives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.

Job Description

EcoVadis is currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join our growing product engineering team. The Engineering Manager is accountable for the good functioning and performance of the team, from both personal and collective views. The role will guide and provide structure to the team to meet challenging business goals and time frames.

The Engineering Manager is also accountable for the quality of what the team delivers, and must therefore introduce good practices as necessary, for various aspects of the job. You will collaborate with other engineering managers to ensure that development processes are optimal.

  • Build, mentor, and grow a team of 6-8 engineers

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in software engineering

  • Experience and Motivation for hiring, growing and guiding people

  • Experience working in Agile environments

  • Good knowledge of modern web application development (Azure, .NET & React is a plus)

  • Self-driven and team player

Job Description

EcoVadis is currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join our growing product engineering team. The Engineering Manager is accountable for the good functioning and performance of the team, from both personal and collective views. The role will guide and provide structure to the team to meet challenging business goals and time frames.

The Engineering Manager is also accountable for the quality of what the team delivers, and must therefore introduce good practices as necessary, for various aspects of the job. You will collaborate with other engineering managers to ensure that development processes are optimal.

Some of the duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Build, mentor, and grow a team of 6-8 engineers
  • Maintain and improve the development process with operational excellence in mind
  • Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment
  • Work with Product Owners & Product Managers to identify business needs and priorities
  • Coordinate and communicate seamlessly across engineering and product headship teams
  • Follow evidence-based approach when taking decisions
  • Maintain an on-going overview of staffing and teams technology capabilities
  • Work closely with tech leads, promoting craftsmanship, availability and scalability
  • Identify and take care of risks throughout product development process
Qualifications
  • 8+ years in software engineering
  • 3+ years as a software engineering leader/manager
  • Excellent communication skills including mentoring, coaching and conflict handling
  • Experience and Motivation for hiring, growing and guiding people
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Good knowledge of modern web application development (Azure, .NET & React is a plus)
  • Self-driven and team player
  • Knowledge of how to work well in an international and multicultural environment in a fast-growing company
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English (C1/C2)
