Executive Summary

The Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a pivotal member of U NERGY's Executive Committee and custodian of its technology vision. This role provides strategic oversight of all engineering, infrastructure, product development, and innovation activities across the Group. The CTO is responsible for ensuring that U NERGY's digital platforms are globally competitive, resilient, Shariah-compliant, and capable of supporting the Group's rapid scale- up towards IPO readiness by 2030.

Role Overview

As the highest-ranking technology leader, the CTO translates U NERGY's corporate strategy into technological execution, balancing innovation with operational discipline. The role encompasses enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, product engineering, data science, and innovation governance. The CTO also serves as U NERGY's technology ambassador to regulators, investors, and global partners, ensuring alignment with both Islamic principles and international standards.

Strategic Responsibilities

• Define and execute the Group's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives and Halalan Toyyiban values.
• Architect enterprise wide systems across eCommerce, fintech, ERP, AI/ML, and blockchain-enabled traceability.

Operational Responsibilities

• Ensure 24/7 availability and 99.99% uptime of mission-critical platforms through robust cloud and infrastructure management.
• Oversee DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise data management frameworks.
• Implement global standards of cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory compliance (BNM RMiT, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, PDPA).
• Govern risk management in technology operations, including cyber, operational, and reputational risks.
• Direct the establishment of a Group Innovation Office to pilot and scale emerging technologies.

Leadership & Governance

• Lead, mentor, and scale a global-class technology organisation of 100+ engineers across multiple disciplines.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of senior technology leadership, with at least 5 years at C Suite or equivalent executive level.

• Demonstrated success in leading technology transformation at enterprise scale with measurable business outcomes.
• Strong regulatory knowledge: BNM, PDPA, PCI-DSS, ISO standards, Shariah governance.
