What You Will Do

  • Develop and verify the corresponding new process according to the product design requirements to ensure the production quality, production efficiency, producibility, reliability and safety of the product.
  • Carry out continuous process improvement related to production efficiency, simplify process steps, and standardize operation procedures via proper documentation of the improvement project through verification and validation, and ensure operators carry out work according to the document specifications.
  • Collaborate with product engineers on the continuous improvement of product-specific processes and provide effective improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with product engineers to analyze, confirm and provide corresponding countermeasures for nonconforming products or scrapped products induced by process-related issues.
  • Responsible for the training of the corresponding process of the operators and the assessment and certification of the corresponding positions of the operators.

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

  • Create, update, and maintain standardized process documentation (WI, SOP, process parameters).
  • Lead or support continuous improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency projects in compliance with ISO/IATF standards.
  • Utilize process and quality analysis tools (FMEA, 5Why, SPC, DOE) to enhance process stability and resolve issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to technicians and operators to strengthen capabilities and ensure process excellence.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment (optics, semiconductor, electronics, or precision components preferred).
  • Practical experience in production line optimization, yield improvement, and compliance with quality systems.

Report to Senior Process Manager (based in China)

Business Unit: Optics

Working hours: 8.30am-5.30pm (5 days works)

Salary Range: RM4k -RM6k

Benefits: AWS (13th month payment)

Job Description

A Process Engineer is a professional who focuses on optimizing and improving manufacturing and industrial processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety

  • To supervise and lead daily overall engineering department activities.
  • To report all engineering-related KPI(s) and other management assigned KPI(s) (a) weekly (b) monthly, to the departmental HOD and corporate.
  • To support Manufacturing Engineers in preparing documentation.
  • Process documents improvement.
  • Prepare process equipment for mass production & technical support to Production for process improvement.
  • Buy-off documentation, including customer information and internal documents, before mass production.
  • Machine setup and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare process flow chart / Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) / General Standard.
  • Preparing and studying the product process balance cycle time.
  • To study and develop the new jig/fixture fabrication or automation for process improvement.
  • To identify and develop technical standards for the production process.
  • To train the production personnel on skill improvement.
  • To review and analyze process improvement.
  • To solve any product engineering issue in production.
  • To be responsible for preparing and revising the engineering change, like ECR/ECN.
  • To be responsible for the facilities and machinery's preventive maintenance.
  • Any other duties as requested by the superior from time to time.
  • Authorized to amend the documentation information if found incorrect from the customer drawing/specification.
  • Buyoff machine includes developing test parameters and specs to verify machine meets the parts requirement.
  • Support production on improvement activities to increase productivity and reduce quality failures, including documentation and line balancing, including automation improvements and fool-proof jig/fixture.
  • Handling of new projects, transfer projects & FAI activities.
Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
  • Required skill(s): MS Excel, AutoCad.
  • At least 2 years (s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Junior Executives specializing in EngineeringElectrical or equivalent.
  • Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) is preferred.
