Mission

Lead Sleek's global finance function, providing strategic financial leadership to the Board, investors, and lenders. Ensure Sleek's financial preparedness for a potential IPO.

Outcomes
  • Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) : Develop and implement a robust strategic financial planning process that supports long-term growth and IPO readiness. This includes enhancing forecasting methodologies, scenario planning, and capital expenditure analysis to inform both strategic operating decisions and Board-level decisions.
  • Capital Allocation & Fundraising : Optimize the company's capital structure and develop strategies for efficient capital allocation. Successfully lead any required fundraising rounds, including pre-IPO financing, engaging effectively with potential investors and lenders.
  • Risk Management & Compliance : Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive financial risk management frameworks, including currency, interest rate, and operational risks. Ensure strict adherence to all financial regulations, corporate governance standards, and internal controls in anticipation of public company requirements.
  • Global Financial Operations & Scalability : Further enhance and automate global financial systems to support international expansion and increased operational complexity, ensuring compliance across all jurisdictions. Identify and address any internal control gaps, implementing scalable and efficient new processes, and creating a centrally accessible, easy-to-understand repository of all core Finance systems, decisions, and workflows.
  • Tax Strategy & Optimization : Develop and execute a global tax strategy that minimizes liabilities while ensuring compliance, particularly in the context of international growth and future public company obligations.
  • Leadership & Team Development : Provide strong leadership to the entire finance organization, fostering a culture of strategic partnership, continuous improvement, and professional development to build a world-class finance team capable of supporting a public company.
Qualifications

To do this, you will have:

  • At least 15 years experience in finance roles, with at least 5 years in a CFO or equivalent senior financial leadership position
  • Experience in a high growth SaaS or tech-enabled business
  • Extensive experience interacting with Boards, institutional investors, and lenders
  • Experience in preparing a company for an IPO or similar capital market transactions
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders
  • CPA or CFA or equivalent qualification

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Professional qualification in Accounting/Finance (ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, CFA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in a public listed company.

Your Role in Our Mission

As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will lead NEXT's global financial strategy, overseeing treasury management, tax optimization, entity structuring, and fundraising preparation amid our multi-jurisdictional operations. You'll address complex challenges like high-volume fund flows, debt financing strategies to minimize tax exposure (e.g., in UAE and Hong Kong entities), and risk mitigation for audits/regulatory scrutiny.

This role is pivotal for scaling our operations, ensuring fiscal health, and aligning finance with business growth in fintech. You'll collaborate with C-suite leaders and build a high-performing finance team.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Drive comprehensive financial strategies that support market expansion, new product rollouts (e.g., FNmarkets), and long-term sustainability.
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, capital allocation, and financial modeling aligned with executive goals and growth objectives.


Global Structuring & Risk Optimization

  • Optimize cross-border entity structures and fund flows (e.g., Cyprus payment agents, UAE/Hong Kong entities) to maximize tax efficiency and minimize legal and operational risk.
  • Design strategic tax planning frameworks, including management of UAE corporate tax (9%), debt financing alternatives, and treaty navigation.


Treasury & Capital Management

  • Oversee treasury operations including multi-currency cash flow management, diversification of banking partners beyond BAAS, and execution of $100M+ in annual transactions.
  • Implement robust currency hedging strategies to minimize exposure and protect margins in volatile FX environments.


Investor Readiness & Long-Term Capital Strategy

  • Prepare the company for future venture funding rounds and a potential IPO within 5–10 years through valuation optimization, due diligence readiness, and governance improvements.
  • Collaborate with external advisors and internal teams to ensure audit-ready financials and investor confidence.


Financial Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to IFRS/GAAP standards and evolving regulatory requirements within fintech and brokerage industries.
  • Champion transparent financial reporting and internal control systems that meet global audit and stakeholder expectations.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Align with legal, operations, and product teams (e.g., in Sri Lanka and Cyprus) to support compliant, risk-aware global expansion.
  • Validate and integrate department-level operational strategies into cohesive financial plans.


Team Development & Operational Excellence

  • Lead the Finance, Audit, Payments, and Treasury departments with clear direction and measurable impact.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing global finance team, cultivating a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational efficiency.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. Advanced credentials such as an MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification are essential.
  • 10–15+ years in senior finance leadership roles within fintech, brokerage, or trading platforms—preferably at high-growth, global companies (e.g., eToro, Revolut).
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-country operations across Asia, the Middle East, and the EU. Deep experience in entity structuring, international tax planning, and high-volume treasury flows exceeding $500M.
  • Hands-on experience with Series C+ fundraising, IPO readiness, and navigating complex financial regulatory environments in the UAE, Hong Kong, and EU jurisdictions.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, ERP and TMS systems, tax optimization strategies (e.g., transfer pricing, debt-equity rules), and advanced Excel analytics.
  • Exceptional track record of building and leading distributed global finance teams. Ability to translate financial insights into strategic business decisions.

The CFO will be instrumental in driving financial discipline, ensuring compliance, and enabling growth in a competitive retail landscape. Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Reporting

Lead and oversee the full spectrum of finance functions across the Group, including accounting, FP&A, treasury, and taxation. Manage group consolidation and ensure timely statutory and Bursa Malaysia reporting. Implement robust internal controls and governance frameworks to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Corporate Finance & Strategic Initiatives

Drive corporate finance activities including fundraising, refinancing, M&A, divestments, and strategic joint ventures. Lead and execute corporate exercises such as rights issues, private placements, share buybacks, and bonus issues. Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and Board in evaluating investments and structuring deals.

Retail Business Finance Leadership

Provide financial leadership tailored to the retail sector, including margin management, inventory control, store profitability, and supply chain cost optimization. Partner with retail operations teams to improve sales productivity, cost efficiency, and working capital management. Develop retail-focused financial KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance and support decision-making.

Stakeholder Management & Compliance

Maintain strong relationships with regulators, bankers, auditors, investors, and analysts. Ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, Securities Commission (SC) regulations, Companies Act, and MFRS. Oversee audit processes and strengthen enterprise risk management practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

Professional qualification in Accounting/Finance (ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, CFA or equivalent). Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in a public listed company. Strong retail industry experience with deep understanding of retail financial drivers, store operations, and supply chain economics. Audit background (Big 4 firm experience highly preferred). Demonstrated success in corporate finance, M&A, and corporate exercises for listed companies. Comprehensive knowledge of Bursa Malaysia requirements, MFRS, and Malaysian regulatory framework. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills. Strategic thinker with business acumen and ability to thrive in fast-paced, consumer-driven industries.

Your Role in Our Mission

As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will lead NEXT's global financial strategy, overseeing treasury management, tax optimization, entity structuring, and fundraising preparation amid our multi-jurisdictional operations. You'll address complex challenges like high-volume fund flows, debt financing strategies to minimize tax exposure (e.g., in UAE and Hong Kong entities), and risk mitigation for audits/regulatory scrutiny.

This role is pivotal for scaling our operations, ensuring fiscal health, and aligning finance with business growth in fintech. You'll collaborate with C-suite leaders and build a high-performing finance team.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Strategic Financial Leadership

Drive comprehensive financial strategies that support market expansion, new product rollouts (e.g., FNmarkets), and long-term sustainability. Lead forecasting, budgeting, capital allocation, and financial modeling aligned with executive goals and growth objectives.

Global Structuring & Risk Optimization

Optimize cross-border entity structures and fund flows (e.g., Cyprus payment agents, UAE/Hong Kong entities) to maximize tax efficiency and minimize legal and operational risk. Design strategic tax planning frameworks, including management of UAE corporate tax (9%), debt financing alternatives, and treaty navigation.

Treasury & Capital Management

Oversee treasury operations including multi-currency cash flow management, diversification of banking partners beyond BAAS, and execution of $100M+ in annual transactions. Implement robust currency hedging strategies to minimize exposure and protect margins in volatile FX environments.

Investor Readiness & Long-Term Capital Strategy

Prepare the company for future venture funding rounds and a potential IPO within 5–10 years through valuation optimization, due diligence readiness, and governance improvements. Collaborate with external advisors and internal teams to ensure audit-ready financials and investor confidence.

Financial Compliance & Governance

Ensure adherence to IFRS/GAAP standards and evolving regulatory requirements within fintech and brokerage industries. Champion transparent financial reporting and internal control systems that meet global audit and stakeholder expectations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Align with legal, operations, and product teams (e.g., in Sri Lanka and Cyprus) to support compliant, risk-aware global expansion. Validate and integrate department-level operational strategies into cohesive financial plans.

Team Development & Operational Excellence

Lead the Finance, Audit, Payments, and Treasury departments with clear direction and measurable impact. Build and mentor a high-performing global finance team, cultivating a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational efficiency.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. Advanced credentials such as an MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification are essential. 10–15+ years in senior finance leadership roles within fintech, brokerage, or trading platforms—preferably at high-growth, global companies (e.g., eToro, Revolut). Demonstrated success managing multi-country operations across Asia, the Middle East, and the EU. Deep experience in entity structuring, international tax planning, and high-volume treasury flows exceeding $500M. Hands-on experience with Series C+ fundraising, IPO readiness, and navigating complex financial regulatory environments in the UAE, Hong Kong, and EU jurisdictions. Proficiency in financial modeling, ERP and TMS systems, tax optimization strategies (e.g., transfer pricing, debt-equity rules), and advanced Excel analytics. Exceptional track record of building and leading distributed global finance teams. Ability to translate financial insights into strategic business decisions.

Adept at navigating evolving financial regulations, including UAE corporate tax reforms and EU payment frameworks.
