Work you’ll do

Corporate secretarial services – filing of the annual returns, change of directors/shareholders, change of particulars of the company, etc., under Myanmar Companies Law

Myanmar Investment Law, Myanmar Special Economic Zone Law advisory and compliance works

Immigration – filing of MJSRV and long stay permits for expatriates, outbound services, inbound services, FRC renewal

Legal advisory – research on legal and regulatory matters and writing reports for Manager and Partner review

Anti‑money Laundering Law, rules and regulations advisory work

Advisory and due diligence work surrounding employment and labour force in Myanmar

Insolvency Law – advisory and handling liquidation cases

Research on laws updates

Myanmar Customs and Trades laws advisory

Trademark / Patents advisory and related compliance work

Any other ad‑hoc duties assigned by immediate supervisor and management

Legal Matters & Portfolio Support Provide comprehensive legal advice and support across the entire lifecycle of deals funded through pitchIN's platform, from initial structuring to post-funding management. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents related to investments, including subscription agreements, shareholders' agreements, term sheets, and other ancillary agreements. Manage and advise on legal issues arising from the existing portfolio of funded companies, including corporate actions, governance matters, and potential disputes. Conduct legal due diligence on potential issuers and investment opportunities to identify and mitigate risks. Advise on legal aspects concerning the ongoing relationship between investors, issuers, and the platform post-funding. Corporate Secretarial & Board Support Manage all corporate secretarial duties for pitchIN, ensuring compliance with the Companies Act 2016 and other relevant regulations. Prepare board papers, resolutions, and minutes for board meetings and general meetings. Maintain statutory registers and records accurately and efficiently. Provide comprehensive support to the Board of Directors, ensuring smooth governance operations. Stakeholder Management Act as a key liaison for internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, investors, issuers, partners, and legal advisors. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships to ensure effective communication and successful outcomes. Address stakeholder inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, providing clear and concise information. Represent pitchIN in discussions and negotiations with legal counsel and other relevant parties. What We're Looking For

A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university. Proven experience (5 years) in corporate or commercial law, with a strong focus on investment-related legal work, preferably within the financial services or fintech industry. Experience in managing legal aspects of a portfolio of investments or companies will be a significant advantage. Strong understanding of Malaysian corporate laws, investment instruments, and corporate governance best practices. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills (both written and verbal). Knowledge of international laws, regulations, and practices; ability to stay current with regulatory and legal environment, internal policies, and industry trends. Experience with complex deals and demonstrated ability to analyze issues and develop legal solutions. Effective communication and negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and relationship management skills. Proven ability to apply sound judgment in a demanding, fast‑paced environment. Bar license in good standing to practice law. Education

Their lawyers hold accreditation in the areas of Family Law, Personal Injury Law, Business Law and Commercial Litigation. They aim to work with clients to ensure a holistic client-centred service that delivers results.

As a Legal Assistant, you will support a busy Property Lawyer and Notary Public team, assisting in preparing legal documents, coordinating with clients and third parties, managing deadlines, and supporting day‑to‑day legal operations. This role requires full‑time on‑site work, following Australian business hours (approximately 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM local time).

Key Responsibilities

Administrative tasks including opening file, generating invoices, closing files, and other administrative/legal tasks as needed.

Prepare, draft, and review legal documents for real estate transactions (e.g. purchase/sale agreements, mortgage documents, land title forms, conveyancing packages).

Prepare, draft, and review legal documents for notary public matters and assist with notarizations, affidavits, powers of attorney, and other notarial services.

Coordinate with clients, realtors, lenders, and government agencies.

Perform title searches and due diligence for property matters.

Manage client files (digital), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Skills, Experience & Qualification

Bachelor's degree in the legal field or relevant field.

At least 3 years of experience as a legal assistant or similar capacity in a law firm.

Experience in property law and notary services, or having worked in an Australian firm is a plus.

Ideally fluent in Mandarin.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple files and meet tight deadlines.
