The Organization is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join their calibration procedure and test automation team in Penang, Malaysia. In this position, you will develop calibration software that allows organization's global service centers as well as external self-maintainer customers to efficiently repair, calibrate, and optimize our market-leading electronic test equipment.

Working with world class measurement experts, you will be part of a team that creates automated software that adheres to US and international standards to ensure that company products meet their performance specifications. You will be working with R&D, manufacturing and software teams in other geographies world-wide. You will architect, design, and implement test algorithms, instrument interfaces, device drivers and measurements to characterize and validate state of the art hardware. You will perform this in modern object-oriented test development environments over the full software lifecycle of requirements capture, investigation, product definition, design, implementation, test, release, and maintenance.

Your job will include hands on exposure to a wide variety of company's test equipment products including (but not limited to) power meters and sensors, signal analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators and oscilloscopes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with software exposure, Computer Science with hardware emphasis, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced Object Oriented design experience
• Proven Windows programming experience and knowledge of operating system
• Proven Microsoft .NET and C# programming experience
• Understanding of the product development lifecycle
• Knowledge of contemporary software design methodologies and programming techniques
• Knowledge of RF and microwave measurements and test equipment
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with diverse groups of customers and designers

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Calibration Engineer located in Melaka. The Calibration Engineer will be responsible for conducting calibration and testing of equipment, ensuring accuracy and precision. Day-to-day tasks include managing powertrain calibration, utilizing electrical and mechanical engineering principles to optimize performance, and maintaining comprehensive records of all calibration activities. The engineer will also troubleshoot issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

Job Description

• Interacting with customers and ISO consultants with regards to type of QMS or related.

• Conduct & lead QMS related Meeting

• Provide and compile QMS related data / reports.

• Monitor and review to ensure interdepartmental always complying to QMS requirements hence assuring

quality system is implemented effectively.

• Follow up on effectiveness of the QMS action plan along with interdepartmental Internal Auditor.

• Host customer audits, such as QMS, Process, Product etc.

• Collaborate with HR to engage with external training house to provide relevant QMS training.

• Coordinate the review of Quality procedures & Management Review Meeting that is associated with plant

continual improvement initiatives

• Develops and initiates standards and methods of Verification for measuring instruments (small tools).

• Devises procedures and develops forms and work instruction for Verification.

• Develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant tools / gauges / jigs.

• Supports Quality Engineer with customer product qualification and interface as necessary on calibration

related issues.

• Assures verification data availability and integrity for all measured / collected data.

• Manage, monitor and update equipment & instrument Calibration Master List

• Plan for external calibration schedule and prepare calibration Purchase Request.

• Review and select efficient yet cost effective supplier.

• Prepare and compile QMS & Calibration weekly issue tracker for Weekly Quality Meeting

Qualification:

• Min. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering
• At least 2 years of working experience in any mechanical or equivalent field
• Preferred skills : well verse in measuring equipment such as CMM and dimensional measuring tools & gauges.
• Excellent analysis skills.
• Good English communication in written and oral.
