Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
This role is responsible for supporting Franchise business by implementing all day-to-day trading activities of the department by reviewing buy and work closely with external franchise’s buyer & in-season trading (IST) person to focus upon delivering of planned sales, margin and terminal stock objectives.
This includes:
- Implementation of Merchandising Country Strategy
- Execution of the Merchandising End-to-End (E2E) process
- Provide guidance for the buying strategy/ buy volume/assortment planning for franchise stores
- Providing relevant feedback to Country Category Team /OMNI Channel
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving initiatives and guide on the buy for the franchise stores, lead the sell-in process with franchise partners to ensure best possible store performance and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Work closely with adidas franchise commercial team to understand the business strategies.
- Support the implementation of key buy strategic priorities in the country across franchise stores.
- Support Buying Manager to plan & buy according to the OTB for all franchise doors.
- Drive and achieve benchmarks/KPIs on productivity and sell-through.
- Build the right product mix based on the share of business of store formats, product categories, store types, age and gender mix for franchise.
- Review and implement the right buying analysis by categories for franchise.
- Support franchise partners to ensure their sell-in buy is appropriate by giving them the recommendation assortment per store and in- sync with EM/SEA seasonal strategies.
- Provide guidance to franchise partners to ensure that all merchandising strategies and principles are executed timely and correctly.
- Ensure orders are placed accurately and on time for franchise.
- Work closely with external franchise’s buyer, In-season Trading (IST) key person to ensure product grading and product option plan are in line with space management guideline (pre-season).
- Work closely with in-season trading (IST) key person/franchise’s buyer in monitoring and ensure that the best sellers are fully replenished on a weekly basis.
- Compile each store’s capacity plan for reference during the seasonal buying process.
- Ensure in-season chase models (SPEED, In-Season-Creation and Planned-Responsiveness) are well managed to make sure inventory is optimal.
- Attend franchise store-visit schedule to achieve an expected amount of time spent in the stores.

- Hold at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
- Possess a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a related position.
- Fluency in Mandarin is preferred due to interactions with Mandarin-speaking clients.
- Knowledge of manufacturing environments, types of materials purchased by departments, and the engineering change process is preferred.
- Basic understanding of production planning fundamentals, scheduling, material requirements planning techniques, and manufacturing control systems is required.

This job is a first-level supervisor at a large site (800 employees) supervising ~25 - 50 ees or a non-supervisory team lead of a support function and typically reports into a second-level manager. Provides direct supervision to semi-skilled employees within a single function or work group. This includes establishing annual plans/objectives and interpretation of policies related to the functional area. Contributes to policy development. Work is performed within established professional standards and practices. Receives assignments in the form of tasks and goals and follows established processes to meet the goals of the unit. Executes budgets, develops schedules, and enforces policies and procedures. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the divisions/departments operations, schedules, and/or performance goals. Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks and checking work at regular intervals. **Detailed Description**
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
+ Coordinates buying activities for procurement team.
+ Manages team projects and allocates resources.
+ Provides advice on procurement documentation creation, review and approval.
+ Provides direction for customization of procurement documentation and creates database of standards.
+ Advises on procurement plan development, source lists, methods of bid/quotation, and negotiations.
+ Leads development of complex procurement documentation.
+ Leads complex procurement activity where no precedents or local expertise exists.
+ Develops purchasing policies and procedures.
+ Advises and directs internal customers on applicable policies and procedures.
+ Maintains responsibility for new site acquisition procurement activities.
+ Prepares and places purchase orders, requisitions, and expedite as required.
+ Recommends solutions for cost savings, on time deliveries and overall quality.
+ Acts as primary contact with suppliers, internal and external customer to facilitate problem resolution and performance standards.
+ Ensures availability of goods and services to meet committed business schedules.
+ Generates reports and coordinates consistent procurement metrics.
+ Administers and coordinates closure of invoice discrepancies and negotiate adjustments with suppliers to resolve in timely manner.
+ Acts as team leader, mentor and coach within the Purchasing team.

**Knowledge/Skills/Competencies**
+ Hold at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
+ **Possess a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a related position.**
+ **Fluency in Mandarin is preferred due to interactions with Mandarin-speaking clients.**
+ Knowledge of manufacturing environments, types of materials purchased by departments, and the engineering change process is preferred.
