Role SummaryThe Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, driving the design and implementation of technology solutions that enable automation, digitalization, and operational excellence. Scope and Key Areas of Focus- Business & Systems Analysis
- Gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements; translate business needs into system specifications and workflows.
- Conduct workflow mapping, gap analysis, and feasibility studies to identify inefficiencies and recommend system enhancements or new solutions.
- Collaborate with business unit & cross functional team to understand processes, challenges, and improvement opportunities, ensure successful implementation and integration.
- Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training efforts.
- Maintain documentation including business requirements, process flows, and user guides.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot post-implementation issues.
- Process Optimization & Digital Transformation
- Lead initiatives to automate manual workflows and digitize core manufacturing processes using Lean, Six Sigma, MES, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, RPA) to enhance traceability, performance, and decision-making.
- Design scalable digital frameworks that support real-time visibility, operational agility, and data integrity.
- Define and monitor KPIs to measure process effectiveness, productivity, and quality. Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support investment decisions and process changes.
- Deliver training and promote a culture of structured problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Manufacturing Ecosystem Development
- Build and harmonize end-to-end (E2E) manufacturing processes to support scalability, standardization, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems.
- Govern change orders (COs), deviations, and process updates to ensure smooth implementation with minimal disruption.
- Data Analytics & Decision Support
- Develop structured models and dashboards that convert data into actionable insights and measurable outcomes.
- Apply a data-driven mindset to strengthen governance, control mechanisms, and strategic decision-making.
- Leverage analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and manufacturing systems (e.g., EBS, CAMSTAR, APEX) to monitor performance and uncover trends.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across systems to support predictive and real-time decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in business systems analysis, process improvement, or manufacturing operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process integrity, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Proven ability to apply a process-centric and data-driven mindset in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in manufacturing and data systems such as Oracle EBS, APEX, CAMSTAR, SQL, and analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with programming or scripting (e.g., Python, VBA) is a strong advantage.

Currie & Brown is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to work as part of the Business Systems team – assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of processes and applications aimed at enabling efficient operation of the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Initially, the role will focus on testing activities for system development and system administrative tasks, such as upgrades.
- In time, it is expected that the role will include taking ownership of projects as identified by the systems development plan. This will include:
- Solution design.
- Data migration, including data load templates and processes.
- System configuration.
- System testing and validation.
- Change control documentation.
- Successful handover to support.
- Assist with development of integrations and automation using the REST and SOAP APIs available within Unit4 ERP.
- Assist with ongoing development and maintenance of the company’s e-learning system.
- Assist in the analysis of the existing Unit4 ERP system to identify and develop new business intelligence reports and develop ad hoc system queries/reports as requested by the business.
- Assist in the identification and development of processes on the system which will increase business efficiency.
What skills and attributes are we looking for from you:
- Computing or finance related degree level qualification.
- Have a reasonable knowledge, understanding or experience of:
- Business systems analysis, management information systems and/or financial systems.
- Finance and accountancy.
- Been a key member of a complex, technical project.
- Demonstrably taken initiative to successfully improve a process, system etc. within their team/organisation. The process or system would ideally have been of a technical nature.
Preferred sector experience required:
- Strong SQL experience.
- Experience of using REST/SOAP API's.
- Experience of an ERP system as a system administrator, support consultant etc.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- An organised and logical approach to work and problem solving.
- Confident in working with external IT consultants and a wide range of people from across the business.

The Business System Analyst, APAC role is responsible in analyzing, conducting feasibilities studies, designing and implementing business systems’ solutions and processes to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- System Analysis and Design:
- Gather and understand business requirements from business or process owners
- Conduct feasibilities studies and solution prototyping with relevant IT partners
- Define, design and re-engineer business systems solution and processes
- Review and ensure IT design & solution prototype are meeting business needs with user/customer experience in mind
- End to End Solution Implementation:
- Lead and deliver end-to-end system solutions implementation including design and build review, conduct testing and user training, cutover and go live support
- Works closely with IT development team (internal and external) to assure a timely solution according to the specifications and implementation of business needs
- Assure quality of system solutions implementation by developing and executing test plan and cases
- Create and provide quality training material for user assistance and system usage
- Resolve issues related to business use of implemented systems or processes by working with systems or process owners and project teams to find acceptable solutions
- Guide implementation of enterprise and system level architectures and systems by creating and communicating well-written documentation and presentations
- Business Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for business process improvements and recommend system solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Drive harmonization across systems and processes
- Business Continuity Support:
- SAP issues troubleshooting and fix, work requests and consultation
- Collaborate with SAP global team to resolve major issues and site outages
- SAP Access – new SAP user/license setup (new hires, role changes), SAP Training governance
- Audit support: Reports, transactions, queries, segregation of duties
- Year End Activities: Analysis and support for clean-up activities
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures
- Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure successful system implementations and upgrades
- May lead multiple project activities simultaneously, working with internal and external cross-functional groups
- Manages system implementation projects by applying basic project management methodology
- Bachelor’s Degree, in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of working experience as a SAP Business System Analyst or in a similar role
- Proficiency in SAP modules such as SAP LE/WM, SD, MM etc. Strong understanding of SAP configuration and customization
- Experience in managing SAP implementation projects and working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into system solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Knowledge and experience in SAP (S4HANA) will be advantageous
- Project management experience with formal accreditation is a plus
- Ability to navigate a cross matrixed and diverse environment

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Business System Analyst located in Shah Alam, Selangor.
Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:
- Providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, writing the specification, and working with Enterprise Architect as well as Solution Manager to meet customer and site needs
- Determine required improvements on the systems, supervising its correct implementation to meet customer’s requirements
- Assist with the determination of methods and procedures on new assignments
- Write functional and technical specifications for developers
- Use skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways
- Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
- Deployment of Flex standard applications
- Communicate work progress and all (work related) pertinent information in an accurate and timely manner to the Team Lead and Project Manager.
- Relevant education background in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of working experience as an analyst working or deployment in an BaaN5/Infor LN or other ERP environment.
- Experience in ERP, logistic processes, supply chain in the manufacturing industry
- Able to work well in projects with tight timeline and manage a small team of key users.
- Basic SQL and knowledge in business applications
- Willing to travel at least 1-2 times a month
