  3. To guide students in the understanding of assignment requirements.
  4. To answer student queries on academic matters relating to the unit promptly.
  5. To set and mark assessments (quiz, test, assignments, examinations) for students.
  6. To invigilate examinations.
  7. To develop and update course materials as required.
  8. To attend staff meetings as deemed necessary by the Head of the Department.
  9. To give students regular guidance to assist the progress of their academic achievement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Candidates must possess a PhD degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computing.
  2. At least 3 years working experience as an academic.
  3. Experience as a programme leader and supervision at Masters and PhD level would be an advantage.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  6. Knowledge of MQA standards and regulatory requirements.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and others.

What you will do

The Business Analytics & Insights Manager will drive the commercial insights, forecasting and analytics efforts for several inline and pipeline products in the SEA (South East Asia) region with key focus on Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia.

The main purpose of this role is to deliver market and sales analysis to improve brand value, coordinate the forecasting process relative to the allocated brand and deliver strategic insights (via market research) to the relevant teams. This individual will be one of the key point of contact with a diverse set of affiliate partners (Marketing, Value & Access, Finance, and Manufacturing).

They will have responsibilities to translate business needs into analytical plans for primary market research, developing unbiased short and long-term product forecasts, tracking brand performance, and work closely with the BAI community across the JAPAC region. This role will report to the JAPAC BAI Director with key business partners across the SEA affiliates (GMs, BUDs, etc).

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive Commercial Insights and forecasting activities for key Brands in SEA region including primary market research, secondary analytics, short and long-term product forecasts, and brand performance tracking.

  • Address business issues and opportunities through relevant analytical approaches

  • Provide an objective and rigorous point of view to sales forecasting and product performance while collaborating with relevant functions (commercial, medical, V&A, regulatory, etc)

  • Drive brand specific performance management in JAPAC; ensure that marketing assumptions are appropriately linked to sales performance metrics and targets

  • Implement primary market research projects, understanding the needs of the Global Brand team and affiliates and contributing to building the SEA insight generation plan required to meet those needs

  • Work to translate the primary market research findings into actionable insights and be able to influence the team’s decision making accordingly

  • Manage several projects, and plan & manage works to ensure that quality expectations are met on individual projects

  • Work closely with JAPAC BAI community across the region

  • Manage the immediate and long-term impact of problems and changing circumstances

Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of pharmaceutical market analysis and/or business planning experience OR

  • Master's degree and 4 years of pharmaceutical market analysis and/or business planning experience OR

  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of pharmaceutical market analysis and/or business planning experience

  • Fluency in English, both oral and written communications

Preferred Skills /Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business questions and needs into research plans and synthesize multiple data sources to answer business questions

Group Risk has already built an analytic tool (Data Insights from Claims Experience or 'DICE') that provides standardised, real-time, end-to-end view of a health portfolio that links data across the policy value chain. DICE helps management to systematically identify where shareholder value is lost, when statistically credible anomalies evolve, how profitability of different dimensions evolves, and assess product redesign to 'surgically' adjust benefits & limits that are losing shareholder value. The tool is deployed across the Group, whilst also being expanded to encompass non-health claims and persistency experience analytics, actuarial experience investigations and potentially the internal basis for pricing incidence rate assumption generation.

Role Purpose: The role will support the deployment of DICE. Whilst this will be under guidance of the DICE architect, it will involve a high degree of autonomy and self-direction. The role will also contribute to deepening the maturity of DICE leveraging market-leading techniques in actuarial science, data science, and econometrics.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Support the rollout of DICE across markets, including data processing, modelling, and visualization using SQL, Python and PowerBI. Quickly acquire domain knowledge for each market, around data structure, product features, underwriting, distribution, claims management, provider networks and actuarial methodologies.
  • Expand tool capabilities by identifying and developing new techniques that provides data-driven insights in health claims, provider management, distribution, and persistency analytics. Rigorously validate existing and emerging methodologies.
  • Ideation and generation of insightful analytics to support insurance risk deep dives

Candidate Specifications :
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in actuarial experience studies and/or analytics related to health claims, biometric risks, and persistency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with insurance products and governance, and understanding of the insurance risk value chain.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL and PowerBI

As a Business Analyst, your role is to understand business requirements, design solution proposals and implement as well as support them in the respective systems. Systematic Account Development is an essential part of how we manage our sales processes and enable customers to benefit fully from Hilti products. The team is taking care of implementing and maintaining solutions in Salesforce that gives all stakeholders full transparency about sales opportunities. While your primary technology focus will be on Salesforce Sales Cloud, you will get in touch with other technologies supporting those processes such as SAP S4 HANA, Salesforce Service Cloud, Microsoft, Microservices on AWS and others. Designs, builds, and implements CRMA dashboards, dataflows, and data integrations.What you need is:
  • At least Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Analysis & Visualization – Ability to query, interpret & analyze data to generate meaningful insights and eloquently communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Dealing with cloud software business process management and agile methods.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent English and interpersonal skills to manage change and perform in a global matrix environment and demonstrated ability in stakeholder management.
  • Strong willingness and ability to learn.
  • Passion for digital sales and service processes covering business requirements, solution designing, and hands-on implementation, paired with an interest in CRM software (ideally Salesforce area).

We are currently seeking a Financial Analysis Senior Specialist to join our team in Fully Remote - Malaysia, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur (MY-14), Malaysia (MY).

Financial Analysts gather and analyze financial data to facilitate decision-making and provide guidance to managers within the business. They make financial recommendations based on the data they have gathered and analysed. This includes information regarding past company performance against set metrics and cost management.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Extract data from financial reports to conduct financial and statistical analysis and identify financial discrepancies and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and controlling of expenditure by approving or denying requisitions based on whether the items are within budget.
  • Prepare a variety of financial reports based on the analysis results.
  • Conduct presentations related to findings and provide recommendations to the relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Research and analyze costs of projects, departments, and future ventures to provide information and insights about expenses and determine profitability margins.
  • Conduct budget and expense analysis and report on variances ensuring that the projected budget is met and assisting with cost reduction initiatives.
  • Reconcile and review monthly account analysis for balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure budget & forecast variances are analysed and recommendations are made to correct or improve company performance.
  • Assist with input into the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Ensure key pieces of analysis are performed on areas of risk or opportunity within the business and that the financial levers are understood and communicated to the business together with clear recommendations.
  • Continuously review business initiatives to ensure that they meet the required profitability expectations.
  • Identify cost management opportunities (processes or expenses) for ensuring improved profitability and sustainable returns for the business.


Required Experience:

  • Degree in Finance / Commerce
  • At least 5 years in financial planning and analysis and business analysis within a multinational company
  • Comprehensive finance experience in a similar position in a related environment
  • Experience with accounting software

Supporting Region:

  • Australia – Will follow Malaysia working hours. May required to support Australia working hours if there’s urgent deliverables.

  • Accountable for the successful delivery of a comprehensive range of financial services & support as defined in the contract

  • Monitor and ensure efficient use of resources that contribute to the Jones Lang LaSalle revenue and profit targets

  • Support through the team delivery of day-to-day regional financial and accounting operations with particular focus on the client’s reporting requirements at a regional level.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Direction

  • As member of the Regional Leadership team provide clear direction and strategic financial advice to the Leadership & extended leadership team.

  • Act as primary liaison with the Client’s Finance teams.

  • Actively looking for innovations within your area of responsibilities to add value to the client and the JLL business


Client Relationship Management

  • Proactively develop and manage client / business unit relationships ensuring that the expected services are delivered across regions consistent with the contractual scope of services and within budgets

  • Working with the client and jointly manage the total cost and driving savings opportunities on the uncovered scope

  • Actively encourage an environment that supports teamwork, functional integration, financial transparency, co-operation & performance excellence across the region.


Team Management

  • Manage a team, effective strategic leadership and coaching and mentoring the team

  • Ensure the team is structured to maintain & exceed the client’s financial expectations.

  • Act as manager and coach for the team ensuring high staff morale, trust, work ethics, clear goals and performance reviews.

  • Develop annual objectives and succession plans for all roles in the regional finance team, Process mapping and efficiency analysis.

  • Promotes a culture of teamwork and collaborates across other functional verticals within the firm in adopting/sharing of best practices


Financial Planning and Analysis (Client and Corporate JLL)

  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of the team with respect to the annual budget setting and quarterly forecasting cycle

  • Ensure that accurate and timely financial information is provided to all members of the management team

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the Client’s accounting structure and associate systems. Translate that knowledge to ensure a smooth and consistent flow of financial data

  • Develop, maintain & deliver in a timely manner, the Client’s approved financial formats across the region

  • Coordinate and track the cost savings initiatives, benchmarking and implementing best practices

  • Accountable for consolidating the Jones Lang LaSalle regional annual profitability plan and subsequent forecasts

  • Review capital plan proposals and ensure activities are aligned to Clients’ Capex Policies


Invoice Payment & Processing

  • Ensure the country teams are effectively managing: Processing and payment of all property operating expenditure invoices, in accordance with legal obligations

  • Accountable for the timely coordination of the Jones Lang LaSalle invoice processing and monitoring the accounts receivable

  • Working with the team / Shared Service Centre and operations team to meet client deliverables


Controls & Compliance; Policies & Procedures & Audit:

  • Ensure that appropriate process and systems controls are in place and maintained to guarantee the integrity of all transactions

  • Develop and maintain all relevant policies and procedures with respect to all financial & support services associated with the account. Managing teams with focus on policy and strategy implementation and control;

  • Ensure data integrity of the systems across the region and audit data from time to time

  • Ensure that all financial accounting and reporting is audit worthy and in keeping with recognized quality management processes


Business case modelling and solutioning

  • Identify revenue opportunities by offering value-added services to client

  • Perform financial evaluation and decision making for new business proposals

  • Support new contact implementation, transition due diligence in validation and justification of contractual baseline obligations
