Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.

  • 5-7 years of experience in brand management, with direct eCommerce experience in Beauty, FMCG , or Consumer Healthcare .
  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.

  • Strong marketplace experience (Lazada, Shopee, TikTok, etc.).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic planning capabilities.

About the role

As a Brand Manager , you will be responsible for select Core brands within the business portfolio. You will oversee the effective deployment of global strategies and execute across all areas of the marketing mix to achieve short-term and long-term brand sales and profit objectives. The role will be based at Ulu Kelang, Ampang Selangor.

Role Responsibilities

Develop and Implement business strategy to deliver outstanding results:

Responsible for driving consumer marketing activities to achieve share, sales and profit growth for Malaysia market.

Drive annual brand strategy & planning process in line with category & BU guidelines, execute and amplify marketing calendar according to approved brand plan including tracking and evaluation of results.

Identify investment priorities and manage A&P (working media and P-line) with appropriate mix between advertising and in-store efforts in collaboration with sales channel and category management.

Lead brand Portfolio and Innovation agenda and secure excellent execution in country launch plans leveraging Area launch models with local adaptation of Area toolkits (materials, claims, copy, localized to market needs, etc.)

Responsible for artwork execution of the respective portfolio.

Execute in-market new product launches.

Adapt actionable local insights with the Area teams (consumer, shopper, expert) to generate locally relevant Task Maps.

Activate and consistently deploy winning claims working closely with area, regulatory, medical and activation teams

Manage and drive day to day operation and marketing activities for MSB market.

Input to sales forecasting and monthly reporting Responsible for Advertising & Promotion budget for the brand in the local market(s)

Ensure all activities comply with company policies, relevant acts, legal demands and ethical standards.

Build the brand equity in the consumer healthcare category:

Ensure the Brand Heart is brought to life and consistently activated across all touch points to build long term brand equity and penetration through all communication touch points

Teamwork and management

Lead, motivate and work closely with cross functional team who will design and implement effectivemarketing programs to achieve brand objectives and to build the long-term brand equity.

Coaching and developing team members.

Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

Minimum bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in brand management within a multinational FMCH/FMCG environment.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.

Proven track record of leading complex projects with successful outcomes

Exposure working with cross functional teams and coaching a direct report.

Experience in leading successful innovation launches in marketing, implementing of brand plans.

Proven ability to translate global, regional and category strategies to local needs

  • Strong understanding of Malaysian consumer behavior and retail landscape.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Key account representative for Agency and Client
  • Services Client on day-to-day basis to ensure all deliverables are met
  • Builds and maintains good relationships with Client
  • Works with Account Director to develop long and short-term marketing and advertising initiatives
  • Helps Client evaluate effectiveness of marketing and advertising programmes and monitors competitive activities and plans appropriate response/action
  • Works with Creative team to ensure creative development is on strategy and meets Client’s expectations / standards
  • Keeps senior management fully informed of account activity and development including client issues
  • Manages overall budget and account profitability including monthly internal account reconciliation
  • Works with Creative team to ensure creative development is on strategy and meets Client’s expectations / standards
  • Any other reasonable duties, functions or responsibilities assigned to you from time to time

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Able to present and sell Agency thinking and work
  • Solid presentation and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with clients
  • Knowledge of all agency functional areas in order to monitor, evaluate and impact the quality of work from strategy development to the finished product (this includes production, media, research, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum three to five years’ experience within an advertising agency or related industry.
