- A Brand Strategy & Activation Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of our brand strategy across digital, direct-to-consumers and B2B channels. This role is critical in ensuring that local brand activities reflect global brand direction while delivering business growth in the local market.
- The role will serve as a strategic brand custodian and a cross-functional connector between marketing, demand, digital, consumer and CRM teams. This role requires a strong understanding of consumer behavior, brand management, channel dynamics, marketing and business strategy to create a strong brand experience for pet owners.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute short-and-long term brand strategies aligned with global/regional positioning and objectives.
- Localize global brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all pet owners and customer touchpoints.
- Lead annual brand planning processes including market analysis, brand health tracking and innovation roadmap.
- Serve as the voice of the brand in local cross-functional/pillars.
- Collaborate with global/regional brand teams to ensure alignment and local relevancy
Brand Activations Across Channels:
- Work with cross-functional teams to activate brand strategy across digital, D2C and B2B.
- Oversee brand storytelling, content creation, and campaign execution across owned, earned and paid media.
- Manage external agencies and creative partners to deliver high-quality brand output & digital contents.
Integrated Communication & Channel Planning:
- Adaptation of global and/or regional content for local usage to build brand awareness and engagement.
- Work with all business segments to ensure consistent messaging and brand identity across consumers/pet owners-facing and trade-facing communication.
- Partner with digital marketing, eCommerce & CRM team to enhance brand experience online.
- Collaborate with B2B teams (sales, trade marketing, vets or retail partners) to embed brand story in pet owner engagement
Performance Management:
- Define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) related to brand awareness, marketing message to target group with the aim to grow market share (KPIs: Market share, Brand Health Tracker, % Reach/ % Engagement, NPS, loyalty and Media Performance)
- Manage and track website and social media platform performance (no. of visitors, traffic quality, bounce rate)
- Manage advertising budget & expenses, ensuring healthy ROI on all brand activations
- Utilize pet owners’ insights, digital analytics and sales performance to optimize brand plans.
- Provide regular brand updates to the leadership team and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing or equivalent
- Proven experience in brand management, marketing, and/or advertising.
- Strong understanding of digital channels, retail landscape, and consumer behavior.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
- Ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement strategies to address challenges.
- Experience working with FMCG brands with D2C/CRM business models is preferred
- Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word
- At least 5 years of brand marketing and marketing management experience (strategy and activation)
- Strong project management abilities for planning and executing multiple activations simultaneously
- Strong commercial and business acumen with good negotiation skills
- Excellent data analysis translating insights into business strategies and performance tracking to measure brand activation initiatives
- An interest for pets/ nutrition would be a plus

- Drive user growth across all customer segments, including new user acquisition and retention, and revenue for ShopBack Pay in Singapore.
- Work with top brand partners across various categories (F&B, Fashion, Beauty, Home & Living) to plan and implement B2C marketing campaigns.
- Manage end-to-end marketing; Crafting compelling pitch decks for brand launches, Negotiation with brand partners, Execution of campaigns across in-app, offline, social media, CRM, paid ads and influencer marketing.
- Project manage and scale up core marketing programmes to drive merchant participation and revenue and continuous optimisation of communication channels to drive performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, social media, graphic designers, business development and account management teams to drive business goals for ShopBack and brand partners.
- Be data-driven in measuring campaign performance, identifying scalable opportunities and delivering actionable insights into winning strategies.
- 3-5 years relevant experience in campaigns/marketing/business building experience, preferably within offline retail and/or e-Commerce and/or payments environment.
- A driven, independent, highly motivated and result-oriented individual.
- Proactive can-do attitude, problem solving skills and good team player.
- Strong analytical skills, use data to inform decision making and measure campaign effectiveness.
- Good interpersonal skills with strong expertise in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent project management skills to manage a wide range of brand partners and deliver under tight timelines
- Ability to think creatively and strategically, develop innovative solutions to business problems.
- Demonstrated use of Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Cursor) to develop new or improve workflows, enhance productivity, and drive efficiency at scale.
