You will be heavily involved and responsible in the production of drawings for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) works. This position is for a contract duration of two (2) years.

This position is for Local Malaysians and willing to work on 2 years contract role.

Responsibilities :

• Production of drawings on CAD and BIM Revit model for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) works
• Working towards deadlines set by Project Manager or CAD/BIM Manager
• Responsible for the quality of production
• Prepare and update 3D BIM models for development of CSD/SEM models for submissions
• Participate in the production of 2D drawings from BIM models with accuracy ensuring drawings produced are according to the Office or the Client’s Drafting Standards and Procedures, and the drawing submission schedule is achieved
• Maintain proper records of all issued & received models/drawings, Clash Reports, RFIs, BIM Register in accordance with the company’s ISO Standards and Procedures and ensure all the drawings are completed on schedule or in a timely manner.
• Perform regular drawing backups and housekeeping work in the directory
• Participate the CSD coordination meetings with engineers and designers. Define all the CSD/SEM issues, prepare and distribute the issues accordingly. Follow up with the project team on CSD and BIM model update
• Support Project Team for Presentations with BIM Model and related activities
• Work under the supervision of BIM Manager and perform work task assigned
• Report regularly to the Project Manager on the progress of assigned project works
• Knowledge sharing with others, team working spirit

Requirements:

• Preferably minimum 3-5 years of working experience in design coordination, preferably on different scales of projects within engineering design consulting business.
• Familiar in operation and have good knowledge of software such as Revit, MicroStation and AutoCAD
• Good planning skills in managing modelling and drafting work
• Possess strong initiative, and ability to work independently and within team environment when required
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
• Must have Revit training certificate from accredited providers.

• have an “Advance/Expert” Revit certification.
• Possesses strong initiative and ability to work independently and within a team
• environment with good interpersonal, written and verbal communication.
• Good planning and organisation skills in managing modelling and drafting work.
• Immediate availability is advantageous.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing Building Information Models (BIM) for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in various construction projects.

• Performs complex BIM or Plant Data Centric assignments involving the use of multiple application platforms, such as Revit, Intergraph SmartPlant, Plant 3D, etc. software, to achieve set results and deadlines.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure proper integration of MEP systems
• Perform clash detection and resolution to identify and resolve conflicts between different building systems
• Create and manage BIM content libraries for MEP components
• Analyze and optimize MEP designs for efficiency and performance
• Generate accurate quantity take-offs and schedules from BIM models
• Collaborate with project teams to implement BIM standards and best practices
• Stay up-to-date with the latest BIM technologies and industry trends
• Familiar with BIM Automation tools
• Works under general supervision performing advanced technical work utilizing a wide variety of resources, including computers.
• May be responsible for all or part of a project.
• May train and supervise work flow.

Qualifications

• A Diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP BIM modeling and coordination is required
• Experience with BIM software, particularly Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems design principles and integration
• Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

+ **Preferably with 3-5 years of working experience in design coordination, preferably on different scales of projects within engineering design consulting business, and preferably in infrastructure and railway sector.**
+ Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or other relevant disciplines
+ **Familiar in operation and have good knowledge of software such as Revit, Aecosim, MicroStation and AutoCAD**
+ Good planning skills in managing modelling and drafting work
+ Possess strong initiative, and ability to work independently and within team environment when required
+ Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Modeler with specialized experience in MEP systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the development and management of Building Information Models (BIM) to enhance project efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and coordinate 3D BIM models for MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design accuracy and integration of MEP systems within the overall building design. Perform clash detection and resolution using BIM software to identify and mitigate potential conflicts between various systems. Generate detailed drawings and documentation from BIM models for construction and fabrication. Assist in the creation and implementation of BIM standards and best practices within the organization. Support project teams in using BIM software and tools, providing training and guidance as needed. Participate in project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions related to MEP modeling. Keep abreast of the latest developments in BIM technology and MEP design to enhance skills and improve processes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience as a BIM Modeler with a focus on MEP systems.
