Job Description
Konsortium Malaysia is seeking an experienced BIM Modeler to join our team in Kuching, Sarawak. As a full-time BIM Modeler, you will play a crucial role in the engineering and design processes, using Building Information Modelling (BIM) technologies to create detailed 3D models and drawings for a variety of construction projects.
What you'll be doing
- Develop 3D BIM models and integrate data to create detailed drawings and visualisations
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate model development and integration
- Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members on BIM-related processes
- Participate in the implementation and improvement of BIM standards and protocols
- Assist in the coordination and resolution of design conflicts using BIM clash detection
- Contribute to the development of project documentation, including manuals and reports

- Extensive experience in BIM modelling and the use of BIM software such as Revit, ArchiCAD or similar
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building systems, and engineering principles
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for BIM implementation
- A relevant Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in engineering, architecture, or a related field

Responsibilities :
- Production of drawings on CAD and BIM Revit model for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) works
- Working towards deadlines set by Project Manager or CAD/BIM Manager
- Responsible for the quality of production
- Prepare and update 3D BIM models for development of CSD/SEM models for submissions
- Participate in the production of 2D drawings from BIM models with accuracy ensuring drawings produced are according to the Office or the Client’s Drafting Standards and Procedures, and the drawing submission schedule is achieved
- Maintain proper records of all issued & received models/drawings, Clash Reports, RFIs, BIM Register in accordance with the company’s ISO Standards and Procedures and ensure all the drawings are completed on schedule or in a timely manner.
- Perform regular drawing backups and housekeeping work in the directory
- Participate the CSD coordination meetings with engineers and designers. Define all the CSD/SEM issues, prepare and distribute the issues accordingly. Follow up with the project team on CSD and BIM model update
- Support Project Team for Presentations with BIM Model and related activities
- Work under the supervision of BIM Manager and perform work task assigned
- Report regularly to the Project Manager on the progress of assigned project works
- Knowledge sharing with others, team working spirit
Requirements:
- Preferably minimum 3-5 years of working experience in design coordination, preferably on different scales of projects within engineering design consulting business.
- Familiar in operation and have good knowledge of software such as Revit, MicroStation and AutoCAD
- Good planning skills in managing modelling and drafting work
- Possess strong initiative, and ability to work independently and within team environment when required
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
- Must have Revit training certificate from accredited providers.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing Building Information Models (BIM) for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in various construction projects.

- Analyze and optimize MEP designs for efficiency and performance
- Generate accurate quantity take-offs and schedules from BIM models
- Collaborate with project teams to implement BIM standards and best practices
- Stay up-to-date with the latest BIM technologies and industry trends
- Familiar with BIM Automation tools
- Works under general supervision performing advanced technical work utilizing a wide variety of resources, including computers.

Qualifications:

**Job Description**
+ Production of drawings on CAD and BIM Revit model for MEP works
+ Working towards deadlines set by Project Manager or CAD/BIM Manager
+ Responsible for the quality of production
+ Prepare and update 3D BIM models for development of CSD/SEM models for submissions
+ Participate in the production of 2D drawings from BIM models with accuracy ensuring drawings produced are according to the Office or the Client's Drafting Standards and Procedures, and the drawing submission schedule is achieved
+ Maintain proper records of all issued & received models/drawings, Clash Reports, RFIs, BIM Register in accordance with the company's ISO Standards and Procedures and ensure all the drawings are completed on schedule or in a timely manner.
+ Perform regular drawing backups and housekeeping work in the directory
+ Participate the CSD coordination meetings with engineers and designers. Define all the CSD/SEM issues, prepare and distribute the issues accordingly. Follow up with the project team on CSD and BIM model update
+ Support Project Team for Presentations with BIM-Model and related activities
+ Work under the supervision of BIM Manager and perform work task assigned
+ Report regularly to the Project Manager on the progress of assigned project works
+ Knowledge sharing with others, team working spirit.
**Qualifications**
+ **Preferably with 3-5 years of working experience in design coordination, preferably on different scales of projects within engineering design consulting business, and preferably in infrastructure and railway sector.**
+ Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or other relevant disciplines
+ **Familiar in operation and have good knowledge of software such as Revit, Aecosim, MicroStation and AutoCAD**
+ Good planning skills in managing modelling and drafting work
+ Possess strong initiative, and ability to work independently and within team environment when required
+ Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
