REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Barista or in beverage preparation required.
  • Possess a valid Barista Certificate or equivalent qualification (required).
  • Basic food safety / hygiene training or certification is advantageous (e.g., food handler license, HACCP knowledge).
  • Good understanding of coffee brewing methods, espresso extraction and milk texturing.
  • Passionate about coffee and cafe culture.
  • At least basic communicative proficiency in Malay; English is often required; other languages may be a plus depending on the outlet.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages, brewed coffee and other specialty beverages according to cafe recipes and presentation standards.
  • Assist in calibrating coffee machines and grinders and other equipment to ensure product consistency.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization and hygiene of the bar area, including all tools and equipment.
  • Monitor and replenish bar inventory, including coffee beans, milk, syrups and supplies.
  • Support daily bar operations, including opening and closing.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to all customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene and workplace safety regulations
