Programme Overview

The Financial Sector Enrichment Programme (FSTEP) is a 3 + 9-month intensive graduate training programme, in collaboration with Asian Banking School (ABS), designed to equip talent with the skills and knowledge needed for a career in financial services. Job Responsibilities:

  1. Compliance & Audit Management
    • Provide advisory on regulations issued by regulators.
    • Coordinate responses to regulatory consultative papers.
    • Manage cross-segment regulatory projects.
    • Act as the main contact point between Corporate Banking and auditors/regulators/compliance/market risk on regulatory, operational, and legal matters.
    • Conduct preliminary investigations on misconduct and manage disciplinary records.
    • Ensure controls are in place to meet regulatory requirements.
    • Train CBK staff on regulations and policies.
    • Drive compliance projects and initiatives.
    • Handle data requests from CBK / Group CBK Business Management.
  2. Business Operational Risk Control
    • Perform control testing via KRCSA exercises.
    • Manage Key Operational Risk Indicators (KORI).
    • Align with Group standards and localize controls as needed.
    • Report incidents, analyze gaps, and implement controls to prevent recurrence.
    • Conduct internal self-assessments for CBK.
  3. Others
    • Compile and analyze data for regulatory reviews and reporting.
    • Prepare presentation decks for internal forums and management reviews.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Malaysian nationality.
  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • Fresh graduates or with less than 3 years of work experience.
  • Fluent in English, with good communication skills; adaptable, dedicated, and independent.
  • Willing to commit to the 1-year bond period of the programme.

Get To Know The Role

The Collections Supervisor is responsible for running the Collections operations and call strategies for Malaysia/Singapore consumer and SME portfolios.

The Day-to-day Tasks

  • Manage the active delinquent portfolio
  • Monitor and control delinquency, minimise credit losses and improve resolution rates through effective digital and call strategies
  • Review and improve Collections strategies and processes to ensure overall efficiency in terms of customer contacts, early warning signals and recovery techniques
  • Provide regular inputs to management on delinquency trends, early warning signals from the newly booked portfolio and flow rate velocity and recovery indicators
  • Run the Collections function on a day-to-day basis (system performance, worklist assignment, call centre, reporting)
  • Ensure the processes and policies are documented, updated and in compliance to statutory, regulatory and bank’s requirements
  • Develop comprehensive training plan and conduct trainings for new officers
  • Manage and mentor the team
  • Monitor the teams’ and officers’ productivities
  • Review officers’ performances; conduct appraisals and coaching to continuously improve the standard of the performances
  • Review customer feedbacks and develop resolution timeframe and benchmarks
  • Partner with product teams and business units to coordinate Collection’s activities across the bank
  • Take on additional projects and tasks assigned by reporting manager

Must Haves

  • Have at least 5-years experience in a Collections context with at least 3-years experience in a direct supervisory position
  • Well versed in the bank products and processes
  • Possess strong communication, good interpersonal and people management skills
  • Possess a logical and analytical mindset
  • Able to think outside the box and suggest innovative ways that Collections can be run
  • Experienced in managing and using Debt Manager system a plus
  • Good with SQL, VBA Macro and primary Microsoft applications a plus

The Banking Operations Executive plays a vital role in the smooth functioning of StashAway's banking operations. This role is responsible for ensuring that all banking activities are carried out efficiently and effectively, with a focus on risk management, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong communication and collaboration skills are also essential for this role, as the Banking Operations Executive will work closely with various teams within the organization to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities

Daily Responsibilities:

Process and check daily deposits and withdrawals (includes Suspicious Transaction Monitoring) for Singapore and Malaysia entities

Once a suspicious transaction is approved on the Admin system, it takes immediate effect. If unsure of the approval decision, the Banking Operations Executive clarifies with the Function Manager. Conversely, the Function Manager retrospectively checks the approved transactions on a weekly basis.

Execute daily fund transfers for the business (e.g. transfer to the Broker) across all of the Group’s entities

The Banking Operations Manager provides oversight for this process and the transactions can only be approved by Senior Management members.

Review flagged customers as part of the customer onboarding screening process

The Banking Operations Manager will periodically review the Banking Operations Executives’ approvals and provide feedback.

Work with the Client Experience team to contact customers for the purposes of transaction verifications (e.g. obtaining proof of fund transfer when necessary)

Assist the Operations team in resolving transactional issues (e.g. stalled withdrawals, reconciliation discrepancies) together with the Tech team

Prepare monthly reports (e.g. Reconciliation Report, Operations KPI Report)

Take ownership of operational tasks and continuously find ways to improve the efficiency of such tasks

Undertake ad hoc operations projects as required

Requirements

Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.

Prior experience in one or more of the following areas would be a bonus: banking & finance, risk or compliance, treasury, cash operations, trade settlement.

Strong communication skills and a positive attitude. Proficiency in basic English is essential for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders through various channels (phone, email, chat).

Exceptional organizational skills, adaptability, and acute attention to detail are paramount.

Ability to grasp complex concepts swiftly and creatively solve problems on-the-fly.

A team player, adept at working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adjusting to changes while maintaining determination and efficiency.

Role Title: Test Analyst

Role Overview

  • Proven Track record as an outstanding test analyst with end-to-end testing experience. Capable to define the Test Strategy & Test Plan document, to design the test cases and prepare the testers for UAT.
  • Understand application business area and application requirements, specifically in the banking environment.
  • Experience in managing user acceptance testing (UAT) in both in an Agile and Waterfall delivery environment.

The Banking Operations Executive plays a vital role in the smooth functioning of StashAway's banking operations. This role is responsible for ensuring that all banking activities are carried out efficiently and effectively, with a focus on risk management, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong communication and collaboration skills are also essential for this role, as the Banking Operations Executive will work closely with various teams within the organization to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Responsibilities:
    • Process and check daily deposits and withdrawals (includes Suspicious Transaction Monitoring) for Singapore and Malaysia entities
      • Once a suspicious transaction is approved on the Admin system, it takes immediate effect. If unsure of the approval decision, the Banking Operations Executive clarifies with the Function Manager. Conversely, the Function Manager retrospectively checks the approved transactions on a weekly basis.
    • Execute daily fund transfers for the business (e.g. transfer to the Broker) across all of the Group’s entities
      • The Banking Operations Manager provides oversight for this process and the transactions can only be approved by Senior Management members.
    • Review flagged customers as part of the customer onboarding screening process
      • The Banking Operations Manager will periodically review the Banking Operations Executives’ approvals and provide feedback.
    • Work with the Client Experience team to contact customers for the purposes of transaction verifications (e.g. obtaining proof of fund transfer when necessary)
    • Assist the Operations team in resolving transactional issues (e.g. stalled withdrawals, reconciliation discrepancies) together with the Tech team
    • Prepare monthly reports (e.g. Reconciliation Report, Operations KPI Report)
    • Take ownership of operational tasks and continuously find ways to improve the efficiency of such tasks
    • Undertake ad hoc operations projects as required
Requirements

  • Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Prior experience in one or more of the following areas would be a bonus: banking & finance, risk or compliance, treasury, cash operations, trade settlement.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude. Proficiency in basic English is essential for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders through various channels (phone, email, chat).
  • Exceptional organizational skills, adaptability, and acute attention to detail are paramount.
  • Ability to grasp complex concepts swiftly and creatively solve problems on-the-fly.
  • A team player, adept at working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adjusting to changes while maintaining determination and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in utilizing a range of technology tools and software relevant to banking operations, demonstrating an aptitude for learning new systems quickly.
  • Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional growth, evident through seeking out opportunities to expand knowledge and skill sets.
