We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions on the Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and SQL, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement ETL / ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
- Develop and maintain Data Lake / Lakehouse solutions.
- Perform data processing and querying using PySpark and T-SQL.
- Optimize and tune system performance for scalability and efficiency.
- Document product specifications and technical workflows.
- Ensure data security and GDPR compliance across systems.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong proficiency in SQL across RDBMS.
- Experience with Python for Spark-based data manipulation.
- Azure Synapse Analytics – must-have .
- Azure Data Factory (ADF) – building and maintaining pipelines.
- SQL Server and SSIS experience.
- Familiarity with C# for Azure Functions.
- Proficiency with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.
- Bonus: Experience with Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering.
Soft Skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong collaboration and teamwork across technical functions.
