What you'll do
* As an AI architect assigned to a client project, you will typically work closely with delivery teams and client stakeholders to provide technical leadership, shape deals and propositions, drive architectural decisions, create plans and roadmaps, and produce design artifacts
* Assist clients in their journey to Microsoft Azure or leverage their existing investment in it - you can expect a significant focus on applying cloud architectural patterns and migration strategies
* Play a key role in Avanade's sales process with the responsibility for shaping the high-level design, estimates, and contractual details for client proposals in collaboration with other subject matter experts in the business
* As a senior member of the Avanade technical community, you will provide coaching and mentoring to motivate and inspire more junior colleagues from within your team and across the organization
* Translate complex technical solutions and present them in different formats; to business decision makers into business outcomes, to Market in engaging video or blog format content, to internal Sales Teams in battle card format
* Engage in early conversations with the client and/or sales team and support origination and deal qualification, become the trusted advisor. Prepare and represent the solution in Deal Reviews and play an active role in Orals, Client Presentations, and negotiations discussions with key client buyers
* Complete pricing, using standard solution architecture processes, methods, estimating, and modelling tools to drive quality and minimize time to solution through process and reuse. Understand and leverage different Pricing Models and work with Sales Leads to articulate deal pricing. Ensuring a deal is both winnable and deliverable, mitigating potential risks
Skills and experiences
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft; Proficiency in Azure AI Services including Azure ML, Azure Cognitive Services, and Azure Bot Services; knowledge of similar services in other cloud platforms like AWS and GCP is highly regarded.
* Strong understanding of different types of ML models, including Large Language Models (LMM) and approaches to train or adapt to meet different customer requirements.
* Skill in programming with Python (must have), R, or .NET (highly regarded).
* Awareness of channels to market and how to work in a Microsoft and partner eco system to ensure Customer Success.
* High energy intent to help clients understand product and service evolution. Including Azure Open AI, Fabric and Co-Pilot
* Working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Funding processes such as ECIF, GTM Solution Plays / Marketplace and GTM Workshop Offers
* Experience working with stakeholders to create technical visions, high-level architectures, and delivery roadmaps for large programs of work that involve platforming/re-platforming Data Solutions within Azure cloud, utilizing tools such as Databricks and Fabric
* Capability in creating design artifacts and presenting them for approval at architectural forums attended by multi-disciplined stakeholders from engineering to senior ("C level") client executives
* Experience in designing and delivering large-scale enterprise grade AI solutions
* Identifying and designing for key architectural characteristics such as performance, security, and reliability

Your key responsibilities
You will enable, drive and lead initiatives focusing on establishing and embedding cloud architecture & design governance across the organization. Key functions include:
- Architect & Design solutions for cloud (e.g. AWS, Azure) which are optimal, secure, efficient, scalable, resilient and reliable, and at the same time. are compliant with EY cloud standards and policies.
- Architect & Design solutions for Hybrid cloud, which are multi-tenant and geo distributed and meet EY’s data protection standards.
- Design strategies and tools to deploy, monitor, and administer Cloud applications and the underlying services for Cloud (e.g. Azure, AWS, private cloud)
- Architect and implement DevSecOps processes and CI/CD pipelines using tools like VSTS, Jira, Ansible, Jenkins, Chef.
- Collaborate with technology teams across EY Service Lines and vendor product teams helping them implement a productized strategy, consuming existing components while also greatly enhancing velocity of products through reuse.
- Work with engineering teams for designing, building & productionizing components that will grow in capability while being multi-tenant, global, scalable & highly available.
- Scout the technology landscape for emerging technologies, patterns and solutions that can benefit EY Technology & our customers (existing and new).
- Build quick POCs and write some code for exploring new technology solutions.
- Keep up to date with market trends and competitive insights. Evaluate technology and tools to enable the product ecosystem in E&Y.
- Evaluate and enhance ROI through experiments and bets on technologies and components.

To qualify for the role, you must have

- At least 2years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications (i.e. having an architectural sense for ensuring availability, reliability, etc.) on cloud.
- Expert in defining, designing and developing distributed and scalable products and services, including reusable domain-specific microservices on multi-platform/hybrid clouds (such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Rackspace, VMware, or OpenStack).
- Experience with software and product development lifecycle (incl. coding, coding standards and reviews, source control, testing, debugging, build, deployment and operations).
- Familiarity in the following areas, but not limited to:
- Front end / UI technologies including frameworks such as React/Angular.js
- REST / Webservices (with high performance, multi-tenancy, global, scalable elements)
- SQL, XML, JSON, Linux, ELK stack, Splunk, Solr, GIT, Ant/Maven, Jenkins
- Familiarity with Data Ingestion, Analytics, AI technologies
Preferred skills
- Deep understanding of cloud computing and data technologies, business drivers, emerging computing trends, and deployment options (preferably in Microsoft Azure)
