Job Description

Designs, develops, and implements project deliverables assigned by the Technical Lead. Ensure that code delivered by them adheres to Sterling software engineering best practices and within agreed upon timeframes. Attends and participates in daily scrum calls, communicating achievements and roadblocks to the team to ensure the success of projects delivered via agile methodologies. Works on production issues and user requests, with priority on high severity issues. Monitors changes and concerns on server and network infrastructures affecting applications, ensuring smooth and optimal systems operations.

Required Skills:
  • 5 or more years of C# .NET application development experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience with relational databases, particularly SQL Server.
  • Experience developing web applications with ASP.NET / MVC / WebAPI
  • Strong HTML / CSS / Javascript
  • Experience in AWS
  • Basic knowledge of WCF, REST, SOAP, HTTP standards required; Knowledge of JSON/XML data formats.
  • Delivered products and solutions through full SDLC process.
  • Excellent communication skills- ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and written.
  • Self-driven, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to multi-task, engage and coordinate with several groups.
  • Analytical, problem solver, logical thinker with attention to detail.
  • Inspirational and enjoy working with other developers on improving code quality.
  • Documentation tools such as Visio, Confluence, Wiki is an advantage
  • Testing frameworks / automation experience is an advantage

Job Description

The Software Engineer will work as a part of the application services team and closely with Keypath’s product management and enterprise architecture teams to support and implement high-quality application and software solutions.

This role is key in driving efficiencies for Keypath’s operational teams and optimizing the student experience.

The software engineer will provide development, integration, and maintenance of software applications in a Microsoft-centric environment.

This role is pivotal in supporting and customizing core systems, including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality custom software solutions that align with the strategic goals of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete development tasks related to assigned projects involving the customization, integration of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and other core systems.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality software, customizations, and integrations.
  • Provide hands on development and technical expertise across all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements hand-off to deployment and support.
  • Collaborate with Keypath’s product management team to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Work closely with Keypath’s enterprise architecture team to ensure adherence to architectural standards and security best practices.
  • Develop solutions using modern Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies, including Azure Functions, SQL Databases, Queues, and Log Analytics
  • Implement standard security structures and engineering best practices in Azure, including use of Key Vaults, Managed Identity, secure network endpoints, and role-based access controls.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper technical and privacy/security governance requirements are met.
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, computer engineering, IT, a related field of study, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 4+ years of software development experience with a proven history of launching successful custom development solutions.
  • Strong background in architecture, design, and hands-on coding and configuration using Microsoft technologies, including Azure, SQL, .NET framework and C#.
  • Experience developing solutions using third-party Software Development Kits and cloud-based APIs.
  • Experience developing solutions and integrating with Microsoft Dynamics CRM preferred.
  • Experience in the higher education and post-secondary education sector preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Solid understanding of the SDLC using Agile Methodologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft-centric development and skilled working with Microsoft SDLC management tools and technologies including Visual Studio, Azure DevOps and Git
  • Knowledge of design patterns and development experience with .NET framework, Microsoft Azure, and related tools

About the Role:

New Era Technology Malaysia is hiring a Software Engineer to be deployed at our esteemed client location in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. We are looking for a dynamic professional with strong expertise in Java , Spring , AWS , and Microservices Architecture , who is passionate about cloud-based solution development and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java/J2EE applications using Spring Framework .

Build and deploy microservices-based architecture for enterprise-grade applications.

Drive and support cloud migration initiatives , specifically transitioning from on-premise to cloud environments.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment in AWS .

Ensure clean, testable, and efficient code, while adhering to coding standards and best practices.

Collaborate in CI/CD pipeline development and contribute to deployment automation.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed services and applications.

Required Skills and Experience:

6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, Spring .

Experience in migration projects from on-premise to cloud environments.

Exposure to Kubernetes and PostgreSQL is an added advantage.

Job Description

The Software Engineer will work as a part of the application services team and closely with Keypath’s product management and enterprise architecture teams to support and implement high-quality application and software solutions.

This role is key in driving efficiencies for Keypath’s operational teams and optimizing the student experience.

The software engineer will provide development, integration, and maintenance of software applications in a Microsoft-centric environment.

This role is pivotal in supporting and customizing core systems, including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality custom software solutions that align with the strategic goals of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete development tasks related to assigned projects involving the customization, integration of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and other core systems.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality software, customizations, and integrations.
  • Provide hands on development and technical expertise across all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements hand-off to deployment and support.
  • Collaborate with Keypath’s product management team to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Work closely with Keypath’s enterprise architecture team to ensure adherence to architectural standards and security best practices.
  • Develop solutions using modern Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies, including Azure Functions, SQL Databases, Queues, and Log Analytics
  • Implement standard security structures and engineering best practices in Azure, including use of Key Vaults, Managed Identity, secure network endpoints, and role-based access controls.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper technical and privacy/security governance requirements are met.
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, computer engineering, IT, a related field of study, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 4+ years of software development experience with a proven history of launching successful custom development solutions.
  • Strong background in architecture, design, and hands-on coding and configuration using Microsoft technologies, including Azure, SQL, .NET framework and C#.
  • Experience developing solutions using third-party Software Development Kits and cloud-based APIs.
  • Experience developing solutions and integrating with Microsoft Dynamics CRM preferred.
  • Experience in the higher education and post-secondary education sector preferred.
  • Solid understanding of the SDLC using Agile Methodologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft-centric development and skilled working with Microsoft SDLC management tools and technologies including Visual Studio, Azure DevOps and Git
  • Knowledge of design patterns and development experience with .NET framework, Microsoft Azure, and related tools
  • Skilled in hands-on coding and configuration using Microsoft technologies, including Azure, SQL, .NET framework and C#.
  • Solid database development experience with SQL Server including T-SQL, stored procedures, and user-defined functions.
  • Must exhibit fluency in software development concepts including Software Design Patterns, Caching, Concurrency, Security, and Relational Databases.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to maintaining high security and architectural standards.
  • Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities, capable of learning new technologies quickly.
