About the RoleThe Safety and Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant safety regulations under DOSH (Department of Safety and Health), CAAM (Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia), DOA (Department of Agriculture), and DOE (Department of Environment). The role involves developing, implementing, and continuously monitoring safety programs, coordinating with regulatory authorities, and conducting audits to mitigate risks and ensure organizational compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations set by DOSH, CAAM, DOA, and DOE.
- Implement and monitor policies to ensure organizational adherence to these regulations.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities for inspections, audits, and obtaining necessary certifications.
2. Safety Program Development & Management:
- Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate safety programs that align with the standards and regulations of DOSH, CAAM, DOA, and DOE.
- Propose and implement improvements to safety policies and processes based on audit findings, risk assessments, and regulatory changes.
3.Audits and Risk Assessments:
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Regularly update risk management plans and ensure proactive measures are in place.
4.Incident Investigation & Reporting:
- Oversee and coordinate investigations into safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
- Document and report findings of investigations to DOSH, CAAM, DOA, DOE, and other relevant authorities as required.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of incidents and promote a safe working environment.
5.Continuous Improvement:
- Actively monitor and review safety practices and policies for continuous improvement in safety management.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices, ensuring that policies and procedures are adjusted accordingly.
- Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management,Occupational Safety & Health or any related field. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
- Experience in aviation operations, safety compliance or risk management.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations under DOSH and CAAM.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with regulatory authorities and internal teams.

Primary ObjectiveIndependently validate RHB Banking Group’s models, rating systems and the estimation of risk components on a regular cycle to ensure:

- Track, monitor, and report progress on Outstanding Issues by relevant parties such as risk modeling, credit risk, and business units pertaining to all validated models.
- Continuously enhance validation methodologies or techniques to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Bachelor Degree in any related field.
- Preferably 1-2 years of credit experience in risk management, model development, or validation.
- Experience in risk management is preferred.
- Good analytical and statistical modeling skills.
- Strong communication and writing skills.

The execution of the overall IM Safety, risk and Security Policies, Procedures, Standards and Plans.
The provision of on-going support to GSRS Advocate staff in the holistic delivery of the IM safety, risk and security requirements in assigned businesses.
Assisting IM leadership in developing and implementing a coherent approach to safety, risk and security at a Regional level.
Counselling business units on the management of safety, risk and security in line with IM Policies, expectations and protocols by providing the tools to deliver Group wide safety, risk and security solutions.
Provide advice and support to management in the event of a security emergency and volatile periods such as civil unrests, terrorist attacks and kidnap. Deliver pre-emptive advice on risk reduction strategies for predicted periods of concern or during major events that could disrupt business.
On a regional or area specific basis, work with businesses to ensure compliance with governmental safety and security statutory requirement, code, regulations or requirements.
Provide advice on security design and strategy for implementation of technical security measures for current or proposed critical and major capital projects.
Assisting the business in regular self and external assessment in order to develop and prioritise risk and mitigation strategies and provide assurance.
Support the Commercial & Operational teams with customer facing audits relative to the GSRS core disciplines.
Complete internal inspection and audits based on the GSRS core disciplines Internal Department Audits.
External Certification Audits – Attend or support these as needed based on the ISO 45001 and 22301 certifications.
Global Safety Risk & Security Support - Support the GSRS function and actively participate in advocate calls/meetings.

Primary Objective Independently validate RHB Banking Group’s models, rating systems and the estimation of risk components on a regular cycle to ensure:

Key Responsibilities
Review the adequacy and effectiveness of rating system processes, the oversight structure and control procedures to ensure the applicability and proper application of the quantitative methods in practice. The review covers model design / rating systems documentation, data quality, governance and control as well as internal use of rating (Qualitative Validation).
Review model developmental evidence, outcome analysis and back-testing using the data gained during practical operations of the model, with comparison or benchmark data as a supplement (Quantitative Validation).
Independently validate prior to implementation and adoption of new/re-calibrated models for quality assurance.
Track, monitor, and report progress on Outstanding Issues by relevant parties such as risk modeling, credit risk, and business units pertaining to all validated models.
Continuously enhance validation methodologies or techniques to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in any related field.
Preferably 1-2 years of credit experience in risk management, model development, or validation.
Experience in risk management is preferred.
Good analytical and statistical modeling skills.
Strong communication and writing skills.
Programming skills in SAS are an advantage.
