Automation TesterPosition Summary
The incumbent will focus and set up automation testing where needed, keeping the focus and driving the automation. The key technical skills are based around automation testing, so similar tools like Smartbear is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
The incumbent is expected to perform the following:
- Implement automation tests for web application (cloud) in accordance to existing manual test cases
- Understand product functionality with support from experienced persons in the team.
- Learn to optimize and analyze manual test cases and convert them into automation scripts in an ideal and effective manner.
- Work with existing testers to troubleshoot issues, determine root case and identify solutions in the script.
Requirements (in the order of importance)
The incumbent should possess the following:
- Degree/Diploma in computer science or equivalent area of study
- Good understanding and experience in a SDLC (software development lifecycle) project implementation process
- Minimum 2 years software testing experience, preferably within a banking/financial services environment.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience on:
- Black Box Testing (Functional and Non-Functional)
- Automated Testing using TestComplete
- SQL, preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to handle tight deadlines
- Good team player and positive working attitude
- Self-motivated, self-starter and fast-learner with ability to work independently and within a team.
