An Automation Systems Engineer will work directly with customers to define functional requirements and design, configure, and implement control systems, software programs, electronic circuitry or packing for products or systems.
Description of work:
- Work in team environment with engineers and designers from RoviSys, partners and clients to provide state of the art Control System to improve efficiency, product quality and profitability of process manufacturing.
- Develop and build solutions using different industrial applications.
- Development of P&ID documentation for process clients.
- Define and implement programmable logic controller (PLC)/Ladder design, distributed control system (DCS) configuration to meet client needs.
- Execute and lead services such as systems upgrades, system support and routine maintenance.
- Implementation of industrial application based on solution architect and technical lead’s design.
- Testing and on-site commissioning of control systems.
- Support of process control clients at sites in Singapore and aboard.
- May grow into position leading team of engineers and technicians to provide control system solutions for clients.
- Electrical design and Process Control fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Controllers, such as single loop control, PLC, DCS, DDC or PC based control.
- Exposure to Control Theory and some process understanding is helpful but not required.
- Platform knowledge in Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Emerson DeltaV, etc.
- Knowledge in programming language such as but not limited to C#, Python or C++.
- Knowledge in MS offices.
- Process understanding of batch or continuous process control, combustion control etc.
- Awareness of process safety, validation, and good documentation practices.
- Programming languages: PLC ladder Logic, Function Block, SFC VB.
- Third-party HMI/SCADA Software, i.e. Intellution, WonderWare, OSIsoft, etc.
- Others: network design/administration.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated, excellent communication skills and enjoy working with people.
- B.S in Engineering, Physics or related fields.
- Process or Industrial experience is a plus.

- Troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and integrity recommendation stewardship

Skills and Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you must have or be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience with virtualization, networking, Windows servers, operating systems, Active Directory, domain controllers and/or PowerShell
- Experience with software configuration, integration, testing and technical documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers
- Troubleshooting skills, innovative and analytical thinking
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural global team
Preference will be given to those with the following additional skills / abilities:
- Experience supporting DCS/PLC in manufacturing domain environment

- Maintain strong working relationship with Control System Support Team (CSST)
- Interface with and provide input to SME and Supervisor on issues and opportunities
- Monitoring and surveillance of integrity parameters to ensure reliable operations
- Troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and integrity recommendation stewardship
- Bad actor identification and analysis to reduce equipment downtime
- Data analytics, digital tools/technologies and operationalize upgraded work practices through digital transformation
- Overall integrity effectiveness and management
- Regional oversight and stewardship of integrity work product metrics for quality, effectiveness, and efficiency
- Coordination and communication between various global centers and business affiliates
- Technical mentoring and continuous on-the-job guidance to junior engineers
- Ability to learn and adapt to an agile and flexible working environment
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology
- Experience with virtualization, networking, Windows servers, operating systems, Active Directory, domain controllers and/or PowerShell

Key deliverables include: Support process control systems infrastructure (software/hardware) and advanced control applications for refineries and chemical plants Design and engineer computing infrastructure such as servers, operating systems and networks Integrate and deploy advanced control applications into the industrial control systems (ICS) environment Leverage work processes and tools to facilitate effective above-site support and identify opportunities for improvement Primary interface for remote engineering support with manufacturing Site Engineers Establish yourself as an extended member of the site Control Systems team Collaborate with Application Engineers to ensure applications infrastructure operates at optimum level Maintain strong working relationship with Control System Support Team regarding roadmap, upgrades, and initiatives Monitor and surveil integrity parameters to ensure reliable operations Troubleshoot, conduct root cause analysis, and provide integrity recommendations Identify and analyze bad actors to reduce equipment downtime Utilize data analytics and digital tools to enhance work practices Manage overall integrity effectiveness, including risk-based strategies and inspection findings Coordinate and communicate between various global centers and business affiliates Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior engineers Adapt to an agile working environment and stay updated on industry standards About you
Skills and Qualifications To be eligible for this role, you must have or be able to demonstrate the following: Experience with virtualization, networking, Windows servers, operating systems, Active Directory, and/or PowerShell Experience with software configuration, integration, testing, and technical documentation Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers Troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking Intellectual rigor and a strong desire to lead change Ability to work in a multi-cultural global team Understanding of operational aspects such as high availability and security Preference will be given to those with the following additional skills: Experience supporting DCS/PLC in a manufacturing environment Application Process

*Experience in automation testing
*Experience in developing/creating test scripts
*Experience in java and sql
Academic requirements :
• Bachelor's or master degree in information technology and/or other demonstrated learning path (eg. Bootcamp) can be accepted.
• Certification (ITIL is a +)
Required technical Skills :
• Proven experience as a QA Automated Tester or similar role.
• Knowledge in Gherkin/Cucumber and as well Selenium
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java (preferably) or optionally Angular/Cobol.
• Understanding of automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration tools.
