The Engineer/ Senior Engineer of Equipment Projects is responsible for ensuring successful execution and delivery of engineering equipment projects, for the areas within scope of accountability. This role is of high importance for carrying out machine-sourcing projects, especially if new technologies have to be embedded. The staff engineer will follow the engineering process for equipment projects which is harmonized among the Competence Centers of the Non-Active Medical CoE’s. He/She will be responsible for ensuring close cooperation with respective functional and support teams, i.e., R&D for product development and manufacturability; Procurement to improve quality and yield.
Responsibilities:- Responsibility for timely and task-oriented processing of projects that encompass engineering tasks, taking into account investment and production costs.
- Drive projects and processes in accordance with the respective valid operating instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Managing equipment projects following the PEM-principles.
- Track equipment suppliers along the whole project, including all milestones, from RFQ until release of the finalized equipment after successful SAT.
- Responsible for applying global quality requirements related to B. Braun’s production sites worldwide.
- Development of project concepts and feasibility studies.
- Verification of technical compliance with acceptance criteria, conducting acceptance tests, and monitoring the commissioning and relocation of equipment.
- Customer support in all project phases.
- Work closely with other functional teams such as R&D, Quality, Supply Chain/Procurement etc. to improve quality and yield.
- Review of technologies, processes, production facilities, and products regarding opportunities for streamlining and optimization, with the goal of improving quality and cost-effectiveness.
- At least 3 years of experience in machine design & development for medical device engineering projects.
- Experience in implementing the organization’s equipment machinery strategy by managing activities to solve problems; and improved by generating new equipment (idealization) and validating the equipment (conceptualization and implementation).
- Good communication skills to collaborate with functional leaders and teams.
- Experience implementing process improvements and knowledge in Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing.
- Project management experience in working and supporting timely delivery of projects within agreed budgets.
- Ability to plan and organize and to analyze complex data.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent research efforts to collect, analyze and present findings to prepare decision making.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment is required.
- A proven passion for science and engineering as a business with interest and understanding of the business side of innovation.
- Strong discovery skills, particularly questioning, observing, and experimenting.
- Naturally curious and genuinely motivated in learning new things and understanding relationships between teams, people, customers, products, processes, and culture. Able to gather and synthesize information from a variety of people, and then assess how to make improvements in communication or process.

Job Responsibilities:
- Gathering, validating, and documenting business requirements.
- Analysing commercial data such as budgets, sales results, and forecasts.
- Modelling business processes and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
- Supporting key business applications and processes, conducting research and analysis to come up with solutions to business problems.
- To guide businesses to improve business processes and efficiency.
- Drive process analysis across all involved functions and stakeholders (service, engineering, supply chain, sales).
- Use business process modeling and analysis tools, methods and standards to fully obtain information about what capabilities the business needs and leverage more graphical techniques for facilitating communications.
- Interfacing between business owners and application delivery team to manage change requests and set priorities.
- Creating functional specifications for solutions.
- Simplifying information and deciphering technical jargon, so the whole team easily understands it.
- Work closely with the Technology delivery team to drive the overall adoption, optimisation, and ongoing iteration of the workflow platform, leveraging multiple integrations and different technologies.
- Supporting business transition and helping to establish change.
- Provide consulting and coaching around best practices and drive user adoption rate to enhance user experience.
- Identify project issues/risks and present alternatives to alleviate or resolve them.
- Systems and operations support 2/3rd level – evaluation and validation of processes and procedures.
- Assist with testing new software or process releases and updates.
- Regular update with the delivery team on project status and milestones.
- Provide and maintain written documentation of business system manual and procedures.
- Help to developing new training material and help improving current ones, and assist with organising and preparing training sessions.
- Provide meaningful analysis of business processes around everyday problems encountered by group companies.
- Manage multiple stakeholders' engagements to facilitate business process analysis sessions, and develop technology solutions for these teams.
- Conduct cross-functional meetings, as needed, to interview a designated group of users (focus groups) to understand and address their needs, define problems appropriate solution requirements, develop specifications, analyze and document business processes, validate test procedures, review training material for the user community and define future product direction.
- Develop fully documented quantitative models of business processes to improve understanding of the impact of people, process and tool performance.
- Determining the as-is state of process work, identifying formal and informal business processes in the organization, and obtaining the context in which the process is performed and the value generated, the pain points that exist and possible solutions to address that create efficiencies and scale.
Job Requirement:
- Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- ITIL.
- BABOK.
- 3-5 years working experience in supporting ERP, CRM, DMS systems.
- Background in business process design, ERP, CRM, DMS implementations with good analytical skill.
