About the Role
We are looking for a Manager, Risk & Assurance to play a key role in delivering a risk-based second line assurance plan across multiple markets. This position involves leading reviews of investment and asset management processes, preparing high-quality assurance reports, and providing insights that strengthen governance and risk management practices.
This is a senior role with regional exposure, requiring close collaboration with risk, compliance, and legal teams to assess higher-risk areas and provide actionable recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver second line assurance reviews, ensuring quality, timeliness, and actionable findings.
- Provide technical and managerial leadership in reviews related to investment/asset management processes.
- Drive data analytics and automated testing in assurance activities.
- Engage regularly with business partners to stay updated on key changes and initiatives.
- Monitor emerging risks, regulatory developments, and industry best practices to strengthen assurance coverage.
What We’re Looking For
- 7–8 years’ experience in internal audit, second line assurance, or related risk functions, preferably in asset management, mutual funds, or investment management .
- Strong technical knowledge of fund management processes (e.g., investment & dealing, trade compliance, sales & marketing, financial crime/AML, sanctions).
- Solid understanding of risk management, internal controls, compliance, and auditing standards.
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of translating complex issues into practical insights.
- A collaborative team player with initiative, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset.
- Regional office or multi-market experience is a plus.
