Job Description
Do you want to be a part of a new branch of a global, industry-leading company? Join us in our new APAC office based in Kuala Lumpur, working with some of APACs largest Enterprises!
About us:
Originally founded in London in 2014, Hamilton Barnes has grown exponentially in the past 9 years. Now with offices in London, Austin (Texas), and Kuala Lumpur as well as teams working throughout Europe, we have recently been recognized as one of Europe’s top 1000 fastest-growing businesses and one of the UK’s top 100 fastest-growing businesses!
With the goal of becoming the globally recognized leader in Network Engineering recruitment, as part of the team in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a key role in the growth of the company, where we will look to expand to Australia in the coming years!
What makes us different from other consultancies?
Firstly, we only hire at trainee level, so no experience is required. This creates a young and supportive environment, similar to that of University/Sports Teams.
It also means you will grow with the company, and no one can take the promotion you work so hard for! Everyone up to Director level started with the company as a trainee.
Building out a new office in KL gives you the opportunity to have an impact on a new franchise of the company, working alongside like-minded, ambitious individuals with common goals.
We live by a work-hard, play-hard motto, where the work you put in is directly rewarded. In May this year, we were taken on a company-wide trip to Barcelona!
What we offer?
- Uncapped commission from day 1: Take control of your earning with our split commission structure.
- Career progression: When you join us as a trainee, you have a clear pathway of progression. We never hire anyone above you, so it is in your hands. What you put in is what you get out! With the autonomy to build out your own team within your first 18 months.
- Training and Development: You will continuously take part in training throughout your career with us, including:
- 1-to-1 mentorship, target setting and live feedback from your manager daily.
- Classroom-style sessions delivered by our leadership team
- 24/7 access to online learning videos and resources
- Group role plays to learn from others and practice in a closed environment
- International opportunities: With offices in London, Austin, Kuala Lumpur, and Canada with plans to expand to Australia and more, the opportunities are endless!
- Supportive Environment: we focus on building a culture where everyone enjoys their job and working with each other. As well as having access to our mental health and well-being coach to support you.
Responsibilities:
Initially starting as a Resource Consultant, you will be responsible for sourcing candidates by building strong searching techniques via a range of different platforms for your market.
- Qualifying candidates through effective questioning techniques.
- Matching candidates and clients appropriately through developing relationships and understanding the needs of both.
- Creating content and job posts to attract suitable candidates
- Negotiating, influencing, and persuading to achieve the best outcome for all parties
- Gaining a strong knowledge of the market you are working on and building a network to generate leads, references, and referral.
As you gain a better understanding of your market and start to see success on the candidate side, you will be introduced to our business developmentstyle of working – the ‘360 model’, which will involve you actively involved in selling our services to new prospective clients and business development.
- Calling and Marketing candidates to prospects.
- Selling our services to clients
- Taking a consultative approach with clients listening to their needs and explaining the benefits of working with Hamilton Barnes.
- Negotiation of rates, fees, agreements and offers
- Build out your own niche - geographically or technical
About you:
Although you do not need any specific experience, we do look for the following:
- A background in a customer-facing role, preferably sales-based or sporting background.
- You are hardworking, resilient, and sociable!
- Eagerness to learn and the ability to implement feedback through training.
- Competitiveness (with yourself and others) with the ability to work to targets.
- Money motivated
- Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport.
- Desire to be a part of a collaborative, hard-working, and fun culture with other top performers!
We can offer immediate and delayed start dates, so get in touch today to see how you can start your career with Hamilton Barnes!
