Our Malaysian based Oil & Gas client is looking for an experienced Asset Integrity Engineer to join them on a permanent basis at their HQ in Kuala Lumpur.
Applicants must have the following:
– Experience in asset integrity management methods and techniques including RBI assessment, corrosion control and mitigation, integrity inspection, advanced and specialized NDT, fitness-for-service analysis, root cause failure analysis/investigation, written scheme of examination, turnaround/shutdown inspection scope implementation, and structures integrity inspection performance review and management.
– Professional engineering certification, and / or working knowledge with international codes, standards, recommended practice such as ASME VIII, ASME B31.3, ASME PCC 2, API RP 2SIM, API RP 510, API RP 570, API 598, API 579, API RP 583, API RP 571, and any other professional certification related to Integrity Inspection is an added advantage.
– Minimum of 5 years diversified & practical experience in oil and gas industry, of which more than 3 years’ experience as an Asset Integrity Engineer.
– Mechanical Engineering, Material Science degree or equivalent, preferably with Honours.
This position may require some trips offshore therefore candidates must be fit to work offshore in either Sabah or Sarawak for any asset integrity activities.

Qualifications

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, equipment manuals, and other technical documents.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as API, ASTM, ASME, and OSHA requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certifications in NDT methods, API certifications, or ASNT Level III certification are a plus.

- Fluent in English language. Articulate speaker. Effective presentation and technical writing skills.
- Preferably Sarawakian.

Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering or other related disciplines
- Minimum 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in refinery or petrochemical or upstream oil and gas facilities
- Ability to garner technical insights from large engineering data sets using analytical tools and concepts; making competitive decisions/recommendations
- Background or experience in maintenance and execution systems, familiar with Maintenance Management Systems such as SAP and having supported major Turnarounds/Shutdowns will be highly valued

Responsibilities:
- Performs the monitoring of refinery machinery equipment, under the general direction of the superior to ensure continued safe and reliable operation of equipment.
- Investigates rotating equipment failures and checks compliance to established standards of practices and issues reports and recommends repair / corrective actions to equipment.
- Development and custodian of Machinery Equipment Strategies for fixed equipment.
- Analyze and troubleshoot rotating equipment failures, special corrosion or material problems, issue reports and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Risk Assessment related to Machinery Equipment. Ensuring consistent RA application for safe operations.
- Development of Machinery Annual Maintenance Plan and 5 Year Plan.
- Machinery Reliability Performance Improvement: Analyze and report Machinery Reliability performance metrics/KPI.
- Development of project deliverables for Machinery related projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or other relevant disciplines with CGPA >3.00.
- Preferably 7to 10years’ experience in refinery industry.
- Good interpersonal and people management skills for both lateral and upward interfaces in the company.
- Must be willing to work in Petron Port Dickson Refinery, Negeri Sembilan.
