Job Description

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

The Sales Director for Asia Pacific is responsible for all revenue generating activities for Katalyst in the region. In addition to holding direct selling responsibilities, the Sales Director also oversees all business development activity and provides mentorship to other business development resources in the region. The Sales Director is responsible for overall sales strategy, account planning, opportunity identification, and understanding the business challenges of the clients to recommend appropriate Katalyst solutions. The Sales Director plays a central role in demonstrations/presentations, quotes/pricing and other proposal development activities.

Tasks

  • Build a pipeline of opportunities for the region
  • Build and articulate a go to market sales strategy for the region
  • Offer mentorship and guidance to other business development resources in the region
  • Own the revenue forecast and budget. Working with the region SVP, update revenue forecast as required to accurately portray and predict region performance
  • Ensure that data is accurately and frequently updated in company’s CRM system
  • Meet regional sales goals as developed with management
  • Demonstrate understanding of client requirements regarding sub-surface data management and recognizing how Katalyst solutions can meet these requirements
  • Understand, present and articulate the benefits of a KDM solution and understand competitors in the market
  • Identify and meet with existing and potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization
  • Plan approaches and pitches - work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives
  • Participate in pricing the solution/service
  • Provide demonstrations of Katalyst technology and services to prospective customers.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong background in oil and gas essential
  • Demonstrable record of applying consultative sales processes to close complicated sales opportunities
  • Self-starter: willing and eager to drive opportunities and seek assistance as needed
  • Superior oral and written communication skills; at ease presenting to groups of customers
  • Displays energetic and affable teamwork.
  • Organized and driven to success. Able to organize his/her own activities and those of key team members with an eye to closing deals

Position Type And Expected Hours Of Work

This is a full-time position. As a full-time position, the Sales Director is eligible to participate in the regional benefits offered to Katalyst employees.

Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel

The Sales Director is required to travel to attend client meetings, strategic planning and explore opportunities. Travel varies, however, it could include local, regional, national or international as dictated by client and business needs.

Required Education And Experience

Our Role

Located at our Malaysia Regional Office in Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya and reporting to the Director of Logistics and Customer service. This position is responsible for Graymont’s Asia Pacific bulk and containerized shipping and warehousing activities and ensuring the safety and efficient management of all activities. Develop, procure, and manage all Import/Export activities across Asia Pacific with a key focus on the development and execution of safe, cost effective and scalable supply chains across the Graymont Asia Pacific network.

Monday to Friday, Office Hours and flexible and hybrid arrangements (work from office and home)

Key Focus Areas the Role Will Include:

As the Asia Pacific Shipping Manager, you will:

  • Across APAC, design and establish bulk and containerized export and Import supply chains encompassing the procurement of services through delivering, monitoring and reporting on the performance of those supply chains.
  • Across APAC, procure and manage third-party import/export warehouses and suppliers
  • Within Malaysia, have ownership of all Export/ Import Permit requirements, including accountability, to ensure all permits are valid.
  • Within Malaysia manage the Export / Import documentation process, including delivery through internal or external resources to ensure that the required documentation to ensure all export requirements are met.
  • Across APAC, monitor the agreed inventory levels and operational expenses at all 3rd parties export/import warehouses, to ensure alignment with agreed budgets.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following attributes and qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will need to demonstrate hands-on experience in container and bulk shipping supply chains, covering procurement and supplier management.
  • Being a self-starter, and an innovative progressive thinker with the ability to work with minimal direct supervision is a key requirement for this role.
  • The role will also require an experienced, results-oriented professional in managing and operating warehouses activities as well as Knowledge and exposure to logistics regulatory documents and systems.
  • A degree or professional education in logistics, supply chain management and similar. A valid driver’s license and passport are required for this role.

We’re seeking a Proposal Coordinator to join our growing international proposal function to support our Asia-Pacific region. The Sales Director for Asia Pacific is responsible for all revenue generating activities for Katalyst in the region. The Sales Director is responsible for overall sales strategy, account planning, opportunity identification, and understanding the business challenges of the clients to recommend appropriate Katalyst solutions. The Sales Director plays a central role in demonstrations/presentations, quotes/pricing and other proposal development activities.

Tasks

Build a pipeline of opportunities for the region Build and articulate a go to market sales strategy for the region Offer mentorship and guidance to other business development resources in the region Own the revenue forecast and budget. Working with the region SVP, update revenue forecast as required to accurately portray and predict region performance Ensure that data is accurately and frequently updated in company’s CRM system Meet regional sales goals as developed with management Demonstrate understanding of client requirements regarding sub-surface data management and recognizing how Katalyst solutions can meet these requirements Understand, present and articulate the benefits of a KDM solution and understand competitors in the market Identify and meet with existing and potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization Plan approaches and pitches - work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives Participate in pricing the solution/service Provide demonstrations of Katalyst technology and services to prospective customers.

Skills & Knowledge

Strong background in oil and gas essential Demonstrable record of applying consultative sales processes to close complicated sales opportunities Self-starter: willing and eager to drive opportunities and seek assistance as needed Superior oral and written communication skills; at ease presenting to groups of customers Displays energetic and affable teamwork. Organized and driven to success. Able to organize his/her own activities and those of key team members with an eye to closing deals

Position Type And Expected Hours Of Work

This is a full-time position. As a full-time position, the Sales Director is eligible to participate in the regional benefits offered to Katalyst employees.

Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel

The Sales Director is required to travel to attend client meetings, strategic planning and explore opportunities. Travel varies, however, it could include local, regional, national or international as dictated by client and business needs.

Required Education And Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Diploma 10+ years of experience selling into the oil and gas marketplace. Comprehensive knowledge of seismic data (acquisition, processing, formats and media types) Knowledge of E&P Data Management requirements and expectations
